Brenda’s POV. Moving in with Lucian was less stressful than I thought because I wasn’t allowed to come with any of my personal belongings. The only thing I came with was my cell phone, nothing else. He got me new ones and made sure I never lacked anything in his house, but I still avoided him like a plague. He wanted us to be friends, and at least, be cool with each other but I wasn’t comfortable with that. Today’s the day when we’d be signing our marriage certificate in the presence of his lawyer. “Brenda!” I heard him call me from downstairs and I heaved deeply. “I’ll be right there,” I replied hastily.
