"Uhm," Freya scratches her cheek as she kept her phone against her ear while looking at the man wrapped around a dirty blanket, leaning on the stock of cardboard boxes in the rooftop. "Yeah, we kinda need you two up here. Quick." Trinette looked up to her. "No, no! We're not in danger. It's just that.." Freya scratches her nape. "There's a man in here, he looks like he needs our help so hurry up— also, don't tell dad about this." She finished off then she ended the call. "Are they your bodyguards?" Trinette asked. Freya nodded then said. "Yeah, I can't go around anyywhere without them. Dad is quite protective sometimes." She said as she crouched down beside Trinette. "Do you," Freya's eyes are currently staring at the man. "Know him?" she asked as she glances at Trinette, blinking her eyes. Trinette looked at Freya as her brain tries to process on what to say. Trinette can tell Freya the truth but what if she'll think I'm weird if I tell her that this man is came from a small slit of like a portal on the air? "If you don't know this man then we can call the police—" "Yes." Trinette answered firmly. I hate police. "He's a friend of mine although I didn't expect to see him here lying on the floor unconscious and naked." She softly continued her sentence. I rather claim this man as my friend than facing those useless assh*les. "I don't know what to do so I called you since you said that I should if I need anythi—" "Why did come here anyways?" With an innocent tone of her voice, Freya asked. Trinette stopped talking then she stares at Freya for a good minute before looking away. "..no reason." She said. "You're wet." Freya said as she examines Trinette's look. "And you have bruises." She added while looking at the bruises on Trinette's face. "You look like a mess, Tri. What happened?" Freya asked with a worry tone of her voice. Trinette shut her eyes close. She didn't got to think on what she looked like at the moment since all she was thinking was to help this man. Of course, she would ask what happened. Of course, I look like a mess. "Nothing." She answered in a firm tone. "What do you mean nothing? Those bruises look so swell and," Freya extends her arms to touch Trinette's wet jacket. "You're dripping wet. You might get sick 'coz of this." She added. Trinette immediately stand up along by grabbing her backpack then moves away from Trinette. "Just... take the guy to the hospital or something." Trinette said as she walked passed by Freya but before she could do so, Freya grabbed her arm. "Tri, wait—" "Ow!" Trinette hisses in pain making Freya let go of her hand immediately. Freya's eyebrows knitted. "What's wrong?" "Nothing." Trinette answered immediately, she was about to walk away once more but Freya speaks again. "Don't answer me that way when it's obvious that something is wrong." The soft character of Freya seems to disappear at the moment that it made Trinette slightly intimidated. "Geez, calm down." She said. Freya's eyes fixated on Tri's face for a minute before her gaze travels down to her sem where she held her as if she was a supervisor. Sheesh, I didn't know she's kinda intimidating like this. "Freya! What—" Trinette raises her voice, slightly freaking out while Freya is currently taking Trinette's jacket off harshly, making the fabric rub on her swollen burn behind it. "Who did this to you?!" Freya asked with her voice even more louder than a while ago, pointing at the burn on her arm while clenching on Trinette's jacket that she just taken off from her. Trinette slightly flinched due to her voice. "No one!" she answered as if whining. "No one?! Trinette! Who did?!" she asked once again, annoyance can be seen in Freya's eyes. Despite of wanting to leave, Trinette gently pats Freya's arm. "Calm down for now, please?" she said in a soft voice. Freya stares at her before she took a deep breath then nodded in response. "Geez, you're kinda scary." She added. "You still need to tell me who did that to you." Freya said. Trinette raises her hands as if she's surrendering. "Alright, alright.. just... calm down." "Ma'am?" Both of their heads turn to the rooftop's entrance door when they suddenly heard it opened. Two big muscular and tall man approached them with a neat suit and tie and a clean haircut. Both looked very young and not to mention— handsome. Trinette is currently left dumbfounded by the sight of them. Freya slightly smiled at her bodyguards then she pointed at the man. "That's him." She said. "Step aside, ma'am." One of the guards gently pushes the two teenagers a few steps away from the man. Freya blinks her eyes. "Why? What's wrong with it, Daniel?" "We don't know this man yet—" "He's my friend." Trinette butted in. Daniel raises on of his eyebrow before continuing. "Still, he might be dangerous, we can't risk you with this." The man with a taper haircut said. The two immediately approached the unconscious man on the floor. One of them presses his two fingers on his neck, feeling his heartbeat. "What's wrong?" the other one with a textured crop haircut asked as he looked at him that has a confused expression on his face. "I can't feel his pulse." Daniel said. "What?" he asked Daniel with a confused look. "Check his wrist, Chris." Daniel said to the man with a textured crop haircut who happens to be Chris. Chris grabs the man's hand then gently presses his fingers on the man's wrist. "Any pulse?" Daniel asked. Chris looked at him then he shakes his head. "Is he dead?" Trinette butted in as she looks at the men. "Seems like it." Chris said. Trinette's eyebrows knitted in confusion. "But that's impossible, I heard him breathing roughly just a while ago." She said as crouched down beside Chris and Daniel. She then extends her arms as she reaches on the man's face, cupping his cheeks. "Look," she places her thumb just below the man's nose. "Feel it, he's breathing." She added as she felt the man's breath as well. Chris and Daniel immediately did what she told them and felt air coming out from the man's nose. "Then why doesn't he have a pulse?" Freya asked while looking down at the man. "We need to take him to the hospital, quick." Trinette said. Freya shakes her head and said. "I don't like hospitals. Too crowded." She turns her head to Chris. "Let's just take him to my condo unit." "But—" Chris was about to disagree but Freya cut him off. "He seems harmless and he is Tri's friend. All he needs right now is a place to sleep, clothes and foods. Also, we need to check his health so Daniel," she turned her head to Daniel. "Call our family doctor on our way there, make sure to tell him not to tell my parents about this." She continued, Daniel nodded in response and said. "Yes, ma'am." "And Trinette." She called out. Trinette looked at her. "You'll be coming with us." Freya said. Trinette slightly shakes her head. "No need—" "You," pointing at Trinette. "Will be coming with us." She ended her sentence with a small sweet but intimidating smile before she walks towards the door going in the building and Chris carrying the man on his back, making sure that the blanket won't fall. "Come on," Trinette's gazed upon the tall man Daniel when he held her arm gently. "You won't like it when she's mad." He added. Trinette, not wanting to go home knowing that she'll just gonna go home in an abusive home, just nodded in response as she walks with Daniel while rubbing the back of her head. Damn, I fell on the ground real hard. Trinette pushed her lips together. Right, I hit my head on the ground. What if all of those things I witnessed was all in my head?
