After 5 years.

" And now the most waited award of all time.

we are all curious about this. Who do you guys think will get the best CEO this year. I eagerly want to know that. So, the best business man of the year aka CEO of the year goes to. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Mrs Jennifer Valdez."

The whole crowd started applauding. David get up and hugged Jennifer, then kissed her on the cheek while congratulating her. She walked to the stage, received her trophy and said .

"I don't know what to say. I am actually kinda nervous. Well I would first of all, like to thank my husband who helped me out and had trusted me while no one did. And every person I worked with. And yes. To those guys who thought women can't achieve anything.

Look at me. I am a woman, and I'm more successful then you. I have few things to share with few of you guys today.

For those of you who think women are objects,See for how long you can play her.

David stand up, and started clapping for her then everyone join him. She come off the stage and everyone started Congratulating her. She went and sit next to David. After few minutes the award function was over. Both her and David left and went straight to their car.

Jennifer was over the moon that she didn't even put her seat belt on. David looked at her, smiled then put her seat belt on. He said " Remember, safety before anything."

She smile and he drove the car.

Jennifer Pov.

I am soo happy. Finally after 5 years of suffering, I won!

I have no words to explain how I'm feeling right now. When my name was called out, I couldn't believe for a second, And I went on stage, I didn't like the looks I was getting from people, especially men. I gave them such good lecture. I hope, they won't ever look down at women again.

I was lost thinking when David bought me back to reality saying "Wifey Today the speech your gave was awesome. I can't believe you said all that. Wow, I'm proud of you."

I smiled, and he said "That speech touched my heart."

They were few minutes of silent then he said. "It felt like that speech was for me."

"If you look down at women then it is for you" I said playfully

"I hate women, thy are. I don't even know what to say. I have no words to describe how I hate women. According to me they are object. Use and throw."

He said with anger in his tone.

You could see the hatred on his face. Somewhere deep I don't blame him. I don't even know how his past was but I can feel he had a horrible one.

I thought I would pulling his leg, by telling him I'm a woman but I didn't. No one knows what he would do, Soshush if you want to live.

We reached home. I wanted to talk to him but he started running and avoiding me.I whispered yelled "You will not sleep unless you speak to me tonight, Mr Valdez "

I run after him, and saw that, he was already in the kitchen, folding his sleeve up. I throw my bag on the sofa, marched to the kitchen and said. "What you doing."

He looked at me and said "I'm going make food for us Wifey."

"Oh ok"

Then I sit on the kitchen counter and started eating apple, I started swinging my leg so he can notice me. Usually, He hates when I sat here, but today he is ignoring me completely. To get his attention, I said "Someone seems jealous. "

He looked around and said "Who."

"You, of course."

He stopped chopping and said "Me, Me the one and only David Valdez."

"Yes,You. The one and only David Valdez" I mimicked him.

"Wifey, Are you drunk. I mean, Have you forgotten already. I'm behind you success."

"I know that."

"Then what makes you think I'm jealous. "

"Simply, because you avoiding me."

He went back to his chopping again.

I stop swinging my leg and said ."Mr Valdez. Do you Rmember the promise you made me 5 years ago."

He looked at me and said "Can we talk about it, after dinner. I 'm starving. Please. "

I nodded, Then come down from the counter and marched to my room. I took a warm shower, cleaning my face properly from all the makeup and staff. Change into my nightgown. Then went downstairs.

I saw him putting the food on the table. He saw me and said "I was about to call you."

I smiled and sat down. He come and sat his place. We ate in silent. After we were done I spoke. "David...."

"Before we speak, Can we wash the dishes. "

I nodded, we washed the dishes. After we were done, he was about to dodge. I said "For how long are you planning on avoiding me."

He turned back and said "I'm not avoiding you."

"We both know you are, David!"

I pulled him out of the kitchen to the dinning room, and said "I hope you remember the promise."

He looked down and said "Yes I do. I remember it very well."

"Then."

"Then what." He said looking up.

"When are we going back to Bangkok?"

"Very soon!"

Was all he said. He was about to go,I hold him and said "I want to go back tomorrow."

He turned and said "Have you lost your mind. Tomorrow will be impossible?"

"No is not "

"Yes it is!" He shouted

"Remember, 5 years ago. Before you bought me to Australia. You promised me you will bring me back after I win, The business man of the year, without any help from you."

He looked around and said "I know and I remember it very well. But you are not ready."

"I am ready. I more then ready. I have waited for this day, for 5 freaking years!" I shouted

"You know what Mrs Valdez, I can also shout! And I'm 100 percent sure, you are not ready."

"Please David. I am ready. I want to go. I want start with my revenge.

He stared at me for few minutes and said "Okay "

I got so happy, that I hugged him. He hugged me back and said "But not tomorrow. "

I pushed him and said "Why?"

"Because I have few work to attend to, and I can't send you alone, so after I'm done we will go together. Promise."

I hugged him again and said "Thank you."

After we broke our hug he said "Now go and have a good sleep."

"Okay, Good night Mr Valadez."

"Good night, wifey."

I went to my room, lock the door and went to the window to see the view. This view is so beautiful. Is like you can see the whole Australia here.

I am sure you guys are wandering, why we don't sleep together, despite being married.

Forgot about sleeping together. You must be wondering why we even got married.

Well, what must I say. It's a long story short.

5 years ago, after he brought me back from the hospital. He wanted us to came to Australia but it was impossible because I had no ID nor passport. And we wanted them. So we got married. And we had to change my name so it wasn't big of a deal. After we got married we moved to Australia.

And yes, he still has his business back in Bangkok. Infact we have business all over the world. Not all of the world, but like 23 countys now. We own 5 star Hotels. We both are CEO of one company, but he usually runs the room and staff, while I run the restaurants.

We took over, like 20 hotels in the past five years. Crazy right. But you can say is Because of me. People liked me, and run away from their hotels for me. Just kidding, We both worked hard. Together. Having each other's back.

But now that we going back. I have my eyes on two Hotels. And I hope, we take over them as well.

Well, Not hope, but certain. I am certain, I'll take over.
