Someone Is Watching Me

Delilah Pov I tossed and turned all night. I got the faint smell of lilac and then a strong smell of blood. My eyes flew open as I looked around the room. It was at that moment it all hit me. I remembered where I was and what had happened, what had caused me to be here in the first place. "William," I said softly before the tears began to fall on my cheeks. "Delilah," he said as he quickly entered the room. "Are you okay?" "Yeah, it's just-," I hesitated to say it. "Someone was here. Someone is watching me." "No one else is here," he said. "No, I felt them. I smelled them," I insisted. I was a wolf. There was no mistaking my abilities to smell and sense things. He should be able to do the same as a vampire. "I don't smell anything," he said reassuringly but I was still worried. "It smelled like lilac mixed with blood," I noticed William's eyes grow wider. "You know who it was." "I told you, I didn't smell anything," he said again a bit more agitated. "Whatever, I know someone was here," I got up and went to the bathroom. I threw water on my face "f**k!"  when I looked in the mirror I could have sworn I saw someone behind me. I quickly turned around and saw no one. "If I find you, I will tear the flesh of your skin," I threatened. I slammed the door as I left the bathroom. "I brought you some water," William said as I came back into the room. "Thanks," I took the glass and sipped it a bit. "You should get some rest," he said. "I need you not to lie to me," I said bluntly. "I am trusting you. I could go home and let my parents and my pack keep me safe." William took a deep breath and kneeled down in front of me. "I will always keep you safe," he got up and went back to his room. "That wasn't an answer," I whispered to myself. I tried to fall back asleep but I kept seeing those red eyes that stared at me through the mirror. "Delilah," I heard someone whisper. "Delilah." I shot up off the bed and tried to follow the voice. "No one my ass," I said as I ran down the hallway. "Delilah," I heard it again. I heard it coming from William's room. I opened the door abruptly and saw William feeding off of a beautiful woman. "WILLIAM!" I shouted. Suddenly, it all disappeared and William shot up from his bed. "Delilah, are you okay?" I nodded. He came over to caress my cheek. His hands weren't warm but they weren't dead cold either. He had taken his shirt off and was only wearing a pair of grey sweats. "I saw her again," "Her?" "There is someone here. Someone haunting me," I said. "You have to believe me." "I do," he embraced me and ran his fingers through my hair. "We will move to another monastery tomorrow morning." "We aren't going home," I asked. "No, if she is here, we shouldn't bring her to your family," "Who is she? and why not?" I complained. "I'll explain tomorrow, now please try to sleep," he walked me back to my room and I was able to sleep for a bit but my mind kept having nightmares of her face and of what she was doing with William. He looked like a full vampire. His face was unrecognizable and demonic-looking. I was strangely not scared though. The next morning, I woke up feeling like crap. I ran to the bathroom to take a shower. I let the cold water hit my face and then just stood there letting it fall all over me. It felt nice. It was nice to take a shower. I got out and noticed I had a new set of clothes on the bed for me. I got dressed and then heard a knock on the door. "Let's go," William looked like he hadn't slept much either. We borrowed a car from the house next door, well more like we stole, and headed to another town. "So, when are we going to talk about HER," I said abruptly. "What do you want to know," "Everything, but you can start by telling me who she is," "Her name is Valencia, she and I met a very long time ago," he explained. "Is she the one who turned you?" "Yes," "Oh," "She has always been hungry for power and has hated witches ever since they wronged her and vampires because they tortured her and turned her," he told me. "So she is after wolves because?" "They have the power, strength, and numbers to help her defeat her true enemy," he said. "She wanted the blood of five alphas so she could transfer their strength to her and with that, she would have enough strength to kill any vampire she wanted to, alone." "But," "But, your parents stopped her plan and so she has them in her sights now," "Okay, so my parents can help us so why not go back," "I told you we will but I need to keep you safe," he said. "If she gets you, she might just be unstoppable." "Let her, I can defend myself," "Please, just don't do anything stupid," he pleaded. "You are strong but as it stands she is stronger." "Excuse me," "Let me help you become stronger," it took me a moment but I finally agreed. "Fine," We drove to the next monastery in silence after our little chat. I was happy he opened up a bit though. By the time we got to the next monastery, it was already dark. "Why is there no one here," I asked. "This monastery has been abandoned for years, after a fire and a vampire coven attack," "Woah," William walked me into the building that looked old but still beautiful. It was a long building with a huge tower in the center. I could see where the fire had damaged a bit of the building's structure but this place still looked amazing. "Let's go inside, I guess we can talk some more," William said.
