Chapter 25

Jia Xia

I had finally returned to Shanghai after 6 years and 5 months.

I watched the cars pass by as we drove into my old neighborhood.

Ha-bin showed Alexis and the boys where we use to go to school, the park where he had his first school fight and finally where we both grew up.

As the car stopped and the house came into view my heart started racing.

I was so nervous.

I saw my parents as they came out of the house.

They looked older than the last time I saw them.

Suddenly I felt regretful for leaving them behind.

Xavier was the person I was running from, yet they suffered.

Zayn, and Hayaan got out with Ha-Bin and Alexis and than I slowly also got out.

Ha-bin told the boys something and they both took of running to my parents.

"Grandma, grandpa"

They yelled as the ran.

My mother kneeled and held them both in her arms.

She was crying.

My father soon joined in the hugging and he to was now crying.

I walked up and didn't know what to do.

My father looked up and came to embrace me.

He held me and now he was literally shaking as he cried.

"Your finally home... Your home.."

I cried with him my mother and the boys also came in for a hug.

Suddenly both boys also started crying.

I turned around and sat down in front of them.

"Why are my babies crying..?"

They sobbed and said

"Mommy was crying, we, we don't want you to cry mommy.. Please don't cry anymore.."

I realized they have never seen me cry.

Over the years no matter how hard things was I never let them see me cry.

I had to be strong for them and myself.

We all laughed at their sweet words.

" Okay, babies I promise, okay... "

I took their hands.

We all walked into the house.

"Welcome home..."

My mother said.

I looked around.

Nothing had changed.

I saw all my school pictures still on the walls.

The boys were tired from the long journey so I took the boys upstairs and laid them down in my parents room.

And then walked out to go to my old room.

My mother said that she never opened my room since I left and it needed a good clean before I could use it for the boys.

So I walked upstairs to go and see for myself.

When I opened the door, it was like I had traveled back in time.

My posters of BTS was still on the walls and my yoongi doll was on my bed.

I loved listening to there music growing up.

I walked around the room and opened the curtains.

My eyes caught something in the bookshelf.

I saw a small piece of a frame stuck in between some books.

I pulled it out.

My eyes fell on the love of my life.

The only man who could set my heart on fire by just looking at me.

Xavier.

Its our wedding picture I had broken.

I can't remember if I had picked it up or Xavier or maybe my mom.

She suddenly spoke.

"You know, he really did love you, he was just to young and foolish to know what he had before he lost it all"

My mother hated Xavier but it seems she knew things I didn't, and it made sense because of his father.

I didn't want to remember him or anything that happened in those 2 years.

He was my past and my boys my future...

My mother took the picture and placed it on the bookshelf.

We walked out and closed the door.

We had dinner and then sent Ha - bin and Alexis off.

They would be returning once they settle the coffee shops new tenants.

I had such great friends and family I couldn't ask for more.

I haven't been home for a month yet, but already I was feeling like I had never leftm

My father had already made all the arrangements for me to start working at my uncles company and the boys are already in preschool.

My Uncle had a huge Logistics company but he didn't trust many people so he never had a PA.

When my father told him I use to work for my Ex Father in law as a PA he offered me the job right away.

The hours were long but I was happy.

I could finally lead a new life, with my boys and my parents.

Ha-bin came back and told me Alexis had to return to Seoul South Korea to settle her family estate because her father had passed away.

She lost her mother when she was 5 so her father sent her to China to come live with her Grandmother.

He offered to go with her but she wanted to go alone so he let her.

She said she'd be back in 4 months.

My uncle had a meeting today at a local logistics company he was intressted in buying so he asked Ha-bin to accompany us as Ha-bin was interested in buying shares in this new venture my uncle was planning.

My uncle wanted to buy the smaller companies and expand his current business, and because my father was willing to stand for Ha-bin he was happy he had someone to help him carry this new beginning.

We stopped in front of Furnace Logistics.

It was an older building but the inside was the exact opposite.

I guess the shareholders of the company must be very high end business men and woman.

The company CEO invited us up and soon oir meeting was underway.

He had told us he wasn't selling as per say, but actually he was looking for new investors as a few of tje older investors were found to be untrustworthy.

I expected he would agree to the price my uncle had offered him but he wasn't making any rash decisions just yet.

We spent nearly 2 hours discussing all possible aspects in regards us purchasing the company but he was a tough old man.

His son walked in unexpected.

Xiao Fang Lei.

Tall, handsome, sexy.

He was wearing a unique maroon style suite with a light blue shirt and black shoes.

He had a very dominant Aura radiating from his mere presence.

He was one of the few people I had seen who looked good in maroon.

I looked at him and he reminded me of the first time i saw Xavier.

Suddenly I wasn't feeling well, so before the meeting could continue I told my uncle I was leaving first and he agreed.

Ha-bin wanted to see me out but I refused as I knew how important this was to him as well.

I walked out and to my surprise I met one of my old school friends.

She was working here since she graduated from college and was getting married soon.

We spoke a bit and she had many questions about Xavier off course but I shut her down on each one.

I remember she was one of the many girls who knew how to gossip and spread rumors like fire.

Ha-bin soon joined us.

He knew them as well and when he kissed my cheek I knew he was being on prepose.

He was looking for trouble.

But I don't mind, he was the only one who I could enjoy making trouble with.

We were talking about her wedding when i suddenly heard someone speaking and the name she used made me turn to look.

"Xavier, what happened? "

I saw him, he was looking at me, he looked the same, maybe a bit older but he was still the most perfect man I had seen my eyes suddenly fell on the woman in front of him, the woman in front of him was touching his chest and cupping his face.

This was a scene I wanted to forget as Bella was exactly this way whenever she was with him.

Suddenly the memories of his betrayal came flashlight into my mind.

I was feeling angry, sad, betrayed, frustrated...

I couldn't believe he still effects me like this.

Ha-bin took note and the minute he saw Xavier itbwas like he suddenly had super speed.

With in seconds we were in his car and on our way home.

I started crying uncontrollably. .

I was so strong this whole time, but the minute I saw Xavier my strength left my body and my heart was once again in excruciating pain.

I couldn't breath, my head was spinning my heart was racing, I grabbed Ha-bin's arm and got him to pull over.

I almost fell out of the car when I opened the door, and moments later i was vomiting.

I looked up and the dizziness was so serious I fell on the sidewalk hitting my head on the pavement.

Xavier still had me imprisoned.
