Chapter 11

JAI XIA

I was busy looking at the article online about what happened to Bella.

There was pictures of Bella, with Xavier's arms wrapped around her shoulder as he walked her out of the hospital.

The news was saying that she tried to commit suicide because her Ex lover had married someone other than her.

I was busy reading the article when suddenly Mrs Noona came into my room.

I was stunned but closed the laptop just in time.

"Jai Xia, it's your father on the line, he wants to speak with you."

Than I suddenly realized that the News made international headlines because of who Bella Ann Was.

My father must have seen the news.

What was I going to tell him.

I walked down the stairs to the living room and answered the phone.

" Hey daddy... How are you...?"

He was extremely upset.

"Jai Xia... Do you have any idea where your so called husband is... Are you aware he has been lying to you and our family this entire time...?"

I wasn't sure of how to respond.

Before I could speak my father spoke again.

"I have sent your mother and miss Lan to collect you, pack all your belongings and return home this instance."

My father was a man who hated lies.

He would accept almost anything but not lies.

I wasn't going to argue with him because I knew him all to well.

I disconnected the call and walked up stairs.

I took out my bags and started packing.

Was Xavier doing this deliberately.

He wanted to make sure we got a divorce so he made things public.

Why was I feeling humiliated by this.

Maybe I was expecting to much.

But I was right.

He couldn't wait to divorce me.

I was thinking about all this just a few days ago and today I was already leaving his home.

My father's black Mercedes came up the drive way.

I walked out of my room and closed the door.

I was entering the living room when my mother and miss Lan walked in with Mrs Noona.

She saw my bags and I could see her surprise.

"Jai Xia... Why... Don't tell me... No please Mrs Ying... Don't take Jai Xia back... Please..."

She turned and spoke to my mother.

I saw my mother's eyes soften.

She must have seen how much Mrs Noona loves me.

She looked at me and didn't speak.

I walked to her and we sat down.

She held my hand.

" Jai Xia... Why... Whats going on...? "

She asked but I couldn't speak.

I felt like I was losing myself.

What has Xavier done for me since I came here?

Nothing...

So why was I feeling like I was going crazy thinking about leaving.

I didn't speak.

My mother slapped my back hard.

" Your so silly...how could you live like this!"

Than she hugged me.

"Okay... Lets go... Your still my daughter and god forbid any man hurts you like this while I'm still alive... I will make him pay..."

I was going to speak to her aboit the contract but than I remember the last stipulations.

Never disclose this contract to anyone.

I was in a conner.

But this was Xavier's mistake not mine so je must deal with the consequences himself.

I got up and picked up my bags.

Miss Lan grabbed a few more than I hugged Noona and walked out of my so called home.

I looked back at the house and Mrs Noona standing at the gate as we drove off.

My marriage was over so fast.

It was like I wasn't even married.

When we got home my father was pacing in the lounge.

He saw me and suddenly he just smiled.

I knew all his anger was gone the minute he knew I was safe at home.

I smiled but I felt sad.

So I just walked upstairs and sat on my bed.

I opened the drawer to put my phone away when I saw my wedding pictures that I had hidden from Xavier a few weeks back.

Suddenly tears fell down my from my eyes.

I wasn't sure what was happening but I just let it go.

Was it all the fact that I failed my father?

Was it that I felt unwanted?

Why was this effecting me so much?

I couldn't help but think about Xavier.

He never treated me bad but he also never showed me any affection for me to be reacting in this way.

So this was confusing.

My father left me alone the rest of the week.

Than on Sunday he told my mother to get me ready as My so called in laws was arriving from A City with my So called Husband in a few hours to discuss the recent events.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to see Xavier.

But again my father has spoken and I had to obey.

I got ready and went down to the living room.

I helped my mother prepare some things for our guests and set them on the table.

Than I saw The White Lexus my father in law was driving come up the driveway.

I met my father in law once at the wedding and not again so this was weird seeing him again.

He got out and Xavier along with him.

He looked as handsome as before if not more so.

I was standing with my parents at the door waiting for our guests.

My father greeted Mr Lee but didn't even look at Xavier.

Xavier seems upset but held his head down.

He looked up at me.

Our eyes met and I could see he wasn't as happy as I thought he might have been.

I smiled meekly and walked behind him as we all entered the living room.

We all sat down.

I sat across from Xavier his eyes never left me.

"Mr Lee..."

Came my father's voice.

"I want to get down to business straight away... Whatever our relationship is, friends or family... I won't accept this marriage any longer... Xavier has already told me that he and Jai Xia haven't had any intimate relations between them so my daughter is still untainted and she could easily get married again without any trouble so please allow them to divorce as soon as possible. "

I was stunned.

Did he really tell my father this.

My mother looked at me and she seemed to not have known about this until now.

She took a deep breath and than smiled in relief.

I didn't know what to do or say.

" Okay... Thats fine by me... As long as you are happy I won't force Xavier to stay in this marriage with Jai Xia any longer... As long as our friendship is still in tact I will happily agree... But... Did you ask Jia Xia on her opinion... I haven't heard anything from her, and I don't know if you are aware but she signed a marriage contract binding her to Xavier for 4 years... "

My father became pale.

" What did you just say?! "

He looked at me and for the first time I saw such anger on his face I was completely blown away.

He got up and hit me across my face.

My father in his whole life never once laid a hand on me.

I couldn't believe what just happened.

Everyone looked in shock at what had just taken place.

"What have you done!"

My mother screamed at my father.

She turned my face to see blood dripping from my lips.

She grabbed my face and a tissue from the table and started to clean the blood.

I didn't say anything or moved at all.

I didn't dare to look up.

This was so humiliating.

"This has nothing to do with our daughter, even if she signed a contract she most likely didn't even know all the clauses... How could you hit her, why not hit that basterd of a son in law of yours he was the whole cause of this"

My mother was nearly crying.

"Mr Ying, that was highly inappropriate..., if you are so angry at my words you should come at me not your daughter..."

Came my father in laws words. He was no longer sitting down.

I didn't care about what my father did but my heart was in extreme pain at the fact the Xavier has even moved since he arrived and kust watched as I was beaten and humiliated by my own father.

He really looked at this as a business deal.

"You... You... Okay... Fine since she already sold herself to you and your son than please take her away and never send her here again... She will no longer be my daughter.!"

I looked up im shock at my father.

"And remember this we are no longer friends, you are my enemy from this day onwards..."

I jumped up to run out behind my father but was caught in Xavier's grip.

The anger and grief was so much at that moment that I slapped him across his face.

"Your the reason behind all this... You deserve more that a mere slap... I will make you regret ever hurting my family..."

He looked at me in shock.

But I couldn't care I had to get to my father.

I ran behind him and found him in the garden.

"Daddy please... I am sorry I thought you would be disappointed if I refused this marriage thats why I signed that dam contract... Please"

I fell to my knees and begged my father but he just kicked at my hands than walked away.

I sat on the grass crying.

My whole life was destroyed in a second.

Soon I heard my mother screaming at my father.

I ran into the house.

My father was throwing all my things oit into the driveway.

The picture of my wedding day felt on the ground as well.

Xavier was going to pick it up but I got to it first.

I stepped on the picture and watched as the glass shattered all over the frame.

I grabbed my bags and got into my father in laws car.

My mother was still crying when my father in law and Xavier got in the car.

I was sitting in the back with my father in law.

He placed his arms around my shoulder and pulled me to him

I had no energy to fight him so instead I cried my soul out in his embrace.

What was I going to do.

I had cried the whole way to A City.

As we stopped at the house I had called home for sometime my heart became extremely Black.

I hated this place and the people who lived here so much now.

I opened the door and walked right in Mrs Noona was so happy to see me but I just walked pass her and up the stairs into my prison cell called a room.

I couldn't help but feel emty.

I sat on the bed than decided to sleep.

Maybe when I woke up everything would go back to normal...

I cried as I lay in bed until I finally fell asleep.
