Chapter 10

I touched her shin, slowly running my fingers across her shoulder, down her back.

I kissed her neck and slowly made my way down her neck as I turned her over.

She was so beautiful.

I softly kissed her lips waiting for her response and when she responded I softly bit her lip to grant my tongue access. She opened her lips... My tongue slipped inside her mouth and soon she was matching my kiss.

My hands wonder all over her body, grasping at her breast and making my way down her stomach, down her thigh...

I heard her moan as I touched her sweet spot playing my fingers over her clit... As I was about to put my finger inside her she suddenly moved away...

Than I woke up slowly opening my eyes.

I was dreaming about Jai Xia.

She was trying to get out of bed.

I wanted to hold her a little longer before we became like strangers again, but she seemed very cautious and uncomfortable with me.

She jumped out of bed.

Covered her body and said something which I wasn't even listening to than ran to the bathroom.

I laughed at her motion.

She actually cover her body, as if she wasn't wearing anything.

O god how I would love to actually taste her lips.

I laid in bed and thought about my dream earlier.

I couldn't help but smile.

How I would make her scream...

She soon came out of the bathroom.

I covered my face and acted like I was asleep.

Than she said Sir...

I felt all the air escape my longs.

Last night in front of her parents she called me by my name.

It sounded so natural, but today I was just her husband on paper.

I really need to talk to her when we get home.

She should know that things were going to change for the better.

I got into the shower when my phone rang.

When I finally finished I picked up my phone and saw the called ID.

BELLA.

She was calling me but I wasn't falling for her trap again.

She said it was over yesterday yet she was calling today.

This woman had no shame.

I left my phone upstairs and went down.

My mother in law was busy preparing breakfast, when she saw me she greeted me than told me to follow her to the back garden for breakfast.

Jai Xia was sitting with my father in law chatting.

I sat down next to her.

She flinched a bit, but the look on her face was priceless when I started dishing out food for us both.

My father in law must have noticed because he suddenly asked about my so called business trip.

I thought about Bella and what happened but I couldn't let my inlaws feel my anger or resentment so I just casually answered it of and changed the subject.

As we spoke I watched Jai Xia help her mother clear the table.

She was really such a wonderful young woman.

She respected her parents, loved her family and never once in the 3 months we've been married gave me any disrespect or trouble whatsoever.

I was falling in love with her.

I was thinking about what our children would be like.

When suddenly my father in law spoke.

"Xavier, I wanted to ask Jai Xia about something that's been weighing on my mind, but I know my daughter, so if I may..."

I got a suspicion my father in law was going to ask about our marriage.

"Yes please , don't mind me, ask me anything I will answer you if I know the answer."

He took a deep breath.

"Xavier, you have been married for what... 3 months... Yet I feel like Jai Xia isn't familiar with you at all... It's like you guys are complete strangers... Did she do something to make you upset.. If she did... I apologize in advance..."

I put my hand on my father in laws shoulder.

" Dad... No... Its just Jai Xia is still so young so I have been cautious about how to approach her in you know... That way... But I am very happy with her, and well we haven't had time together or a honeymoon yet, and thats my fault for always working but I was thinking of surprising her with a honeymoon soon so don't worry, next time you see us we might even give you a new family member... "

I said in all honesty.

My father in law laughed and patted my knee.

I soon follow Jai Xia upstairs.

I was about to enter when again my phone rang.

I entered and picked up the phone.

When I saw it was Bella again I didn't answer.

" You can answer and speak in the bathroom... Its sound proof..."

When Jia Xia said that I felt guilty.

She must have seen the caller ID.

Why was this so hard.

I watched as she walked out and shut the door.

My heart felt heavy.

I went to the bathroom and answered the call.

" Bella, I told you, you said we were over yet..."

"Xavier... My daughter is in critical condition in the ICU..."

Came her father's voice.

I was so shocked I sat down on the floor.

"WHAT???"

Her father went on to explain that she had gone out clubbing after our fight than got into a huge fight with some other women, soshe was sent home by her friend, her friend let her stay alone to sober up but when she came home she found her unconscious in the bath with pills and alcohol scattered on the floor.

I couldn't help but think it was my fault.

Why didn't I just listen to her.

She made a mistake but I wasn't listening to her.

I had completely forgotten about Jai Xia.

When I got down stairs she was waiting to leave but seeing her made me so angry.

Not with her but myself.

Why did I marry her when I was still involved with Bella.

Now Bella was fighting for her life while I was trying to playing house with Jai Xia.

I was hurting them both.

I wasn't going to be home for a while of that I was sure.

So I asked her parents to let her stay.

They agreed, and I left.

While we were on the way to the airport I remembered that I didn't even say anything to Jai Xia.

God damit!

Her father already suspected something wasn't right now he must feel like what I said this morning was a lie.

I meant what I said, but now things have suddenly changed.

I arrived at the hospital.

Bella was still not awake.

I walked into the room.

She was covered in bruises and pipes covered her once beautiful face.

I loved her so much.

I wasn't ready to forget what she did but she needs me now.

I spent the whole week looking after her, but nothing changed.

I had a business deal on Friday so I decided to go back.

I already made a plan to one time take Jai Xia home.

Mrs Noona was back from the village so she wouldn't be alone.

I called her family home when the plane landed.

I walked into the house and saw Jai Xia.

She was wearing a beautiful pink dress with her hair pulled back.

I wanted to embrace her but I kept thinking about Bella.

She needs me.

I took a short walk through the garden when my phone rang.

It was The hospital.

I answered immediately.

"Mr Xavier Lee... Miss Bella Ann is awake and asking for you..."

I suddenly felt relieved.

I spoke with my inlaws a bit then called Sam to take Jia Xia's bags so we could leave.

I had to return at once.

The drive back was very strained.

Jai Xia didn't move or talk or smile or anything for that matter.

She didn't even ask me where I was.

She really didn't care.

We stopped at home.

I dropped her off and left.

She didn't want to know anything so I wasn't going to say anything either.

I got back to the hospital around 11 pm.

As I walked into the hospital room I saw Bella sitting on the bed.

She saw me and leaped into my arms.

I was angry about what she did but her love for me hasn't changed.

I hugged her tightly.

I love her.

Only her.

"Xavier... Your finally back... Now we can go home and get married and..."

What!

She said married?

I wasn't sure what happened to her but this wasn't right.

She looked at me and kissed me.

Soon she fell asleep in my lap.

I placed her on the bed and went to the nurse station.

" Um excuse me. Miss... "

" Yes sir... Can I help you with anything?"

She asked.

"Um yeah... Soooo I was wondering... What is wrong with Miss Ann... I mean she seems like you know... She forgot somethings...?"

"Aww yes.... She has short term Amnesia... Its all the drugs and alcohol that had an impact on her memory but she will soon start remembering everything, don't worry..."

I was shocked.

What am I supposed to do now.

Days turned into weeks.

Two weeks and Bella was still insisting we get married.

I called home a few times and Mrs Noona said Jai Xia wasn't any different from when she first came to my house.

She didn't ask about me or say anything in regards to where I was.

She really didn't care.

I got the doctor to discharged Bella but when we got outside reporters were everywhere.

Someone made sure to let the media know about Bella and the overdose.

When I arrived at her apartment I settled her in her room and called home.

"Noona, please don't let Jai Xia watch the news..."

"Xavier... She already saw it... I'm sorry..."

WHAT!!!

THIS WASN'T GOOD.

"and... How did she react?"

Mrs Noona was quite than she said something I wasn't expecting... Or maybe I was...

"She is fine, she was actually smiling for the first time in days..."

I cut the call.

She must have figured out I was with Bella.

Was she happy to know I was with Bella?

Or Did she know all this time where I was?

Was I really wrong about the wedding picture on her side table.

I couldn't believe it.

But in my heart I think I knew.

She didn't marry me for me or my belongings she did it for her father.

And I should be relieved because I could divorce her sooner and finally be with Bella.

I spent some time thinking things over and finally decided to draw up the divorce process as soon as I got back.

My So called Marriage Was finally coming to an end...
