I needed to keep myself busy. After i found out Jia Xia might actually not be married, my heart and mind kept racing towards actually going to her.
I couldn't find anything or any excuse to use if I suddenly appear at her place.
That reminds me, I don't even know where she was staying.
I think about it for a while.
Her parents house?
Ha-bins house?
When I thought about her staying with Ha-bin my blood started boiling.
I remember seeing a ring on his finger.
Was he married or were they engaged, that was another question.
Years earlier Bella said he had gotten married to his cousin.
Was she lieing?
My mind though about all the possibilities.
Bella knew almost everything that was going on at that time, much more than I did.
Maybe she knew than that Jia Xia was actually with Ha-bin.
She must have thought if I knew I would leave her, but than again she wasn't actually trying to get my heart, just my money.
A lots has happened after Bella left.
He family lost their business and I heard after she gave birth she and Sam had married.
My dad told me a few days back she and Sam was in A city visiting Sam's family.
I hope I don't have to change to meet them.
I still feel like killing them for what they did to me, and Jia Xia.
I remember thinking about all the times my plans with Jia Xia got derailed, thinking back I should have known Sam was the most likely person to have been feeding Bella information.
But whats done is done.
I suddenly had an idea.
Maybe Sam knew alot more about Jia Xia as he use to always stand in for me when Bella needed me.
I picked up my phone and called my father, i didn't have either Bella or Sam's numbers and he was the only one still in contact with Bella's family so.
"Hey dad..."
"Xavier what a surprise... Why are you calling... If it's to ask about the detective please..."
"no i was wondering do ypu jave Sam's number.?"
"Xavier... What are you planning...?"
"dad Sam spent 2 years helping me out of appointments and dates and all sorts of things because of Bella, I just wanted to ask him a few things aboit Jia Xia... You know.."
"Are you sure it's nothing else?"
What was the old man thinking.
"No nothing else I swear on your life..."
"hey.. Don't do something on my life.. I still want to live you know... Okay... I will send it to you.."
After a few minutes I got the number.
I was nervous...
But I needed to know
I texted sam and set an appointment and told him not to tell Bella or anyone else.
He replied and agreed.
I was sitting at the bar waiting for Sam.
" Xavier... "
He came and sat next to me.
"Sam... Good to see you..."
He scoffed.
"I know you don't mean that.. But okay... What can i do for you Mr Lee?"
I looked at him.
He was definitely older.
Ugg, Bellas must be driving him uo the walls.
Whatever.
"Sam you spent 2 years basically takinv my olace whenever Jia Xia needed me... So I need you to tell me everything that happened and what you know... I.. Please.."
He just smiled than replied.
"I hope you have time, because you missed alot.."
The next 3 hours he told me aboit doctors appointment, movie dates, dinner dates and also about the miscarriage.
He said that the day she left she was also supposed to go see a doctor at the same office as me and Bella but he wasn't sure if she went.
She must have been there and maybe she saw me and Bella or maybe she overheard our conversation...
"Did you and Bella plan that also.?"
"No... Mrs Lee was sick for a while before that, so I remembered she told me to leave her keys at the office that day as she was going to tje doctor's for a check up, thats also how I knew she took a taxi...
" Okay, so tell me do you know where she went after she left that day..?"
"Well... I know she went to see Ha-bin that day she left because well, I had her tracking location sent to me by Bella, she used to keep a track on her so she knew where you were if you was with Mrs lee..."
I just knew it.
Ha-bin was lying all this time.
He was the dam Basterd who took her away form A city.
" Xavier if I may, your better offer not meddling in her life anymore, she has kids you know, and its rumored her husband or the children father is a very influential man.. So.. Just a heads up."
I looked at him.
"Who is he?"
"We don't know but that's what's been going around, even in J city we all hear about her when Bella was try to find her so she could make amends... And.."
Did he kust say she wanted to make amends.
Wow... Being with him has changed her it seems.
He looked at me and laughed.
" She became a bitter woman when her father forced her to
Abandon me, so she took it out on lots of other stuff, including you and well Jia Xia... But she is her old self now.. Our daughter is perfect just like her.."
I scoffed.
WOW how great everyone else live are while I am still suffering.
I gave him a pat on his shoulder.
" Congrats man... Hope you a happy life together.. "
Than I walked out
I was driving home think about the so called influential man Jia Xia was supposed to be married to or at least who was the father of her children.
Bu to my surprise I taught of non other than myself..
Hahahahahah...
Im so stupid...
They must be talking s**t so people will be Scared to say anything about her or her kids.
Her family was really clever I had to admit.
I got home and took a long shower.
I wasn't in the mood for anything.
I got in bed and soon my sleep took over.
Jia Xia was in my dreams.
