Chapter 28

XAVIER

Yesterday I spoke with Hayden for a long time.

I need all the help I can get, and I will do anything if that means I can get Jia Xia back.

Today is Saturday, I went to the office earlier and cleared my schedule for the next week.

Hayden suggested I first find out everything I could about where Jia Xia has been for the past 6 years and what happened in that time.

But the more I thought about it the more I realized...

I had no where to start.

When she went missing I had searched every nook and cranny of A coty and Shanghai.

I was sitting thinking about who I could ask for help.

Maybe my father.

I called my father and told him I needed to speak with him aboit something very important, he had a business lunch but he said we could meet afterwards and have dinner together.

I knew we haven't really been in contact much.

I know its because he still blamed me for happened and I knew I definitely blamed myself also.

We met at his house.

"Xavier, come in, have a seat."

I walk in and sat down.

"so... Whats so important you actually came to me?"

He asked.

"Dad... I want... No... I need to fix things with Jia Xia... I can't live like this... I can't live without her..."

He looked at me in surprise.

Than he smiled and spoke.

"Xavier, you had 2 years to fix yoir relationships and you blew it all, now she is back and she has 2 children... I think your not thinking things through... You..."

I sighed.

"dad please... I know I can go back and change anything, and I am well aware of the children but I really don't mind, I just need her... And if that means I have to fight to get her back I will... Please..."

H again scoffed at my words.

"Xavier do you think she will leave her husband to come back to the man who traumatized her for 2 years... And I heshe still living with the trauma..."

I smiled.

"She isn't married... Dad... To many things aren't adding up.

I need to know everything, who she was seeing, when it started... When her kids was born, or if its not even hers... I need to find out everything please..."

"Xavier will that make anu difference... I mean..."

"dad i promise once i know everything I can decide what to do next, maybe your right she might never come back to me, but...but... I have to try... Please..."

Suddenly my father broke out laughing.

"Xavier if I had your fighting spirit... Maybe..."

I knew he was talking about his and my mother in law past.

"Okay, I can try and find out what I can, bit please make sure you tie all your loose ends... Because Xavier..."

He was talking about Ling...

"I got it dad... No one will interfere this time.. I promise."

The maid came and set the food on the table and we started having dinner.

After dinner my father made a few call and spoke to some of his old acquaintances...

He gave them as much of Jia Xia information as we had.

" Okay... Now we wait, he siad to give hime 3 months..."

"What?"

"dad I can't wait 3 months... I need her now..."

I said...

"Xavier you've been waiting 6 years... Please do things slowly okay..."

He patted my shoulder...

I went home.

My heart was racing with happiness.

I was thinking about all the possible answers that I would get.

I took out the diary.

Yip... You guessed it..

Jia Xia's dairy.

The pages are full and I added so many over the years but I never once stopped writing.

This was my doctor.

I wrote everything in here.

All about each day I spent missing her.

Everytime I thought about her.

And there were many.

"Dear dairy... She is finally back.. I can finally have a chance at redemption... I need her to know just how much I love her..."
