It has been 4 years since Tia and Trey became friends. Keya was dating Owen. Melissa was in something complicated relation with Joseph. They all were always together. They had almost all the same classes, they were together in the library, park, movies, basketball court. Trey had a good bonding with the boys too. It was an overall fun group

"Hey T, did you decide who you are going with for the winter dance?" Melissa asked

"Ofcourse its Trey, who else did you think she will go with?" Keya asked teasingly

"I dont know, Trey hasnt asked me yet" Tia told

"Ok cut the crap T. If somebody else asked, will you go with them?" Keya asked

"I'd think about it" Tia said knowing that she wont.

"T, I think Brandon wants to ask you but since you are always with Trey, he is scared to ask you" Melissa dropped the bomb

"Brandon, as in captain of the football team Brandon?" Tia asked

"Well, he has his eyes on you for quite sometime." Keya told

"As if I would go with that Man w***e. Didnt he sleep with almost all the cheer leaders?" Tia asked raising her eyebrows

"You said you'd think about it if someone asked you." Keya winked

"Well, thats if someone decent asked me" Tia shrugged

"Uh-huh. Looks like you have someone else in mind" Melissa gave an elbow bump to Tia

"No, ofcourse not but definitely not Brandon" Tia said

"Is it ok if Lincoln asked?" Keya asked

"What?" Tia's eyes widened

"Oh my god, are you crushing on Lincoln? Did Trey know about it?" Melissa asked with her eyes widened

"Gosh, No. Its just that Lincoln is a decent guy. So if he asks me I will think about it."

"And" both of them asked in unision

"And what?"

"Will you go with him if he asked?"

"Are you both trying to set me up with Lincoln?" Tia asked

"Depends. If thats what you want" Keya said

"I dont want anything to do with anyone." Tia said

"Then why did you say that if someone else asked you'd think about it?"

"Well Trey hasnt asked me yet. So I dont want to be dateless. I mean alone in the dance"

"Ok, lets give Trey till the weekend. If he didnt ask you we will set you up with Linc." Keya said

"Ok. Weekend it is." Tia said.

The thing that they didnt know was Brandon was hearing every word of their conversation. He started to make his own plan.

"Guys, can you all leave. I want to talk to Lincoln here in private" Brandon said and everybody left the locker room leaving Brandon and Lincoln alone.

"Whats up Bran?" Linc asked tying his shoes

"Do you like Tia?" Brandon was straight

"She is hot. I would love to ride that ass of hers but why do you ask?"

"Are you going to ask her for the dance?" Brandon asked

"Dude, I know you are eyeing her too but I dont know man. Trey is kind of like a leech always stuck to her. I dont know if I ask her, she would go with me or not. If she rejects that would be like a slap on my face. I have this decent guy image apart from being a football player. Only you guys know thats all because my father is a teacher here. If he was not I would do everything openly with you guys. I dont have to like hide everything."

"You hiding is kind of like a advantage now." Brandon said thinking

"Oh really, how is that?"

"Tia said if you asked her she would go with you. You have been screwing all the girls with us but somehow you never bring one to us. You gotta make it up to us you know"

"Hm. What do you have in mind?" Linc alsed

"Nothing. As usual ask her for dance. Get her drunk and bring to the swimming pool. We all get a chance to do her." Brandon said

"What if she dont drink?"

"Thats your talent. You gotta do what you gotta do."

"What if Trey asks her first?"

"Lets see when that happens. I gotta show it to her who I am."

"Did something happen between you two?" Linc asked

"She called me a man w***e"

"Well thats the truth" Linc chuckled

"Nobody asked her opinion. She should have kept her opinion to herself. Now I will show her what kind of things does a Man w***e do"

"Chill dude. We already have plans with girls for the dance."

"We f****d all of them for the number of times we couldnt even remember. I want her nerdy virgin p***y to cry her heart out when I f**k her so hard. She would beg to die but I would keep f*****g her till she passes out and then when she wakes up I will do it again and again till I am satisfied. Then you guys can have her"

"Geez. You are so evil." Linc laughed.

It was morning when Tia was finishing up her studies. She noticed how her mother is getting skinnier and pale, when she was making breakfast.

"Mom, you need to rest too you know"

"I am fine honey. I dont need rest."

"You have become very skinny in the last couple of months. You should take it easy Mom. I will work during the weekends and save up for college. You dont have to stress yourself."

"Thats nice of you to say but putting you through college is one of my dreams. I wont let anything come in the way of that."

"You know I will only go to the college that offers me scholarship."

"Thats a good thing dear but still we have to prepare ourselves. Its my duty to give you a better education. Law school aint cheap honey"

"Mom, I have beem studying hard to keep up my grades. I have already prepared for the SAT's. I wont let you down Mama."

"I know you wont honey"

Thats when the door bell rang.

"I will get it" Tia said and opened the door.

It was Trey. He was all smiles and he had a box of something in his hands.

"Hey Trey, come on in." She said

He came inside and Tia immediately knew what was in the box.

"You know Trey, I can smell cupcakes from a mile away."

They all laughed when Tia relished on the cupcake. As she was chewing she felt something inside it. It was a paper. She opened it and it read

"WILL YOU GO TO THE DANCE WITH ME?"

She smiled. "Yes, I will go to the dance with you. I just cant resist cupcakes you know."

"I know cupcake. That is why I chose this for asking you"

"You spoil her too much Trey" said Shelly

"Its my pleasure ma'am"

"I am doing a favor to you Trey"

"Oh really, and how is that?" Shelly asked

"He tests all of his recipes on me Mom. Even when it tastes bad, I finish all of them." Tia said stuffing her face with one more cupcake. "God Trey, did you put paper in all of them?"

"Yup, I didnt know which one you will choose"

"You finish all of them coz you are a sweet tooth dear" said Shelly

"Trey wants to open a bakery" Tia said

"You dont go anywhere near the bakery" Shelly said

"Why" both of them asked

"She wont leave anything for the customers" Shelly said and they all laughed together.

Trey grew close to Shelly too as he visited Tia's house frequently. She was like a mother to him too. Shelly knew Trey liked Tia but she wasnt sure if Tia had the same feelings for Trey. She caught her staring at him sometimes but it can be a crush too. She had to know what Tia thought about Trey.

Tia called Keya and Melissa and told that Trey asked her for the dance.

"Hmm. I guess now we will never know how it will feel to dance with Linc" Keya said.

Tia was happy but also sad. She was happy that she is going with Trey but sad too that she can never get a chance to be with someone else. She was confused about how she felt.
