As alpha of my pack, I refuse to allow Nilo to disrespect me in front of other packs. No in front of anyone! Yeah, this pup better learns his place or I'll end his pathetic life. Who does he think is causing a scene like some moron pup? Man, wait till I get him home and toss his disrespectful no good sorry a** in a cell for the night. If he thinks he's something special because he's paired with the most beautiful woman in the world. Man! Moon Goddess what were you thinking? Seriously! you put an absolute angel with a spawn of Satan himself. Well, I'm sure you have your reasons.

Meanwhile...Nilo's POV

Freaking alpha Vaughn, how dare he make a move on what is mine. Then he embarrassed me in front of my mate. Well, I'll just have to teach both of them a lesson. What they don't know is that my mother is a witch. I don't want anyone to know yet that I am half warlock till after I get my mate home. Then I'll show them. Worthless females need to stay in the house and do as they're told. I am holding back showing what I can do until I get Mala under my control. I got escorted to the car and shoved in the back seat like I was a prisoner. I will keep my secret just a little while longer. When the time comes these mutts better watch out. It was a long ride home and that alpha dummy didn't speak to me all the way home. Now he has the nerve to put me in a cell. I may have to apologize to this idiotic alpha. If it gets me back in Mala's good graces then that is what I'll do. After all, I can't impregnate the girl if I'm locked up in my pack dungeon. We didn't publicly announce being mates so he could kill me and claim her for himself.

Well, it's morning let's go see what this lazy warrior has to say for himself. "Well, Nilo how are you feeling this morning? Still, feel like roaring like a fool for no good reason? Nilo tell me whatever in the world got into you last night? I mean you were blessed by the Moon Goddess with the most beautiful woman to ever have grace or presence. Now you owe me your alpha an apology before I add lashes to your punishment. Then I'll decide if I'll allow you to ride along when I go to apologize to Mala and her parents for causing a scene at the dance. So what's your decision warrior?" Alpha Vaughn asks of Nilo.

"I humbly apologize for losing my cool when it appeared you were trying to kiss what was mine. I realize now you were only talking to my princess and it was not your intention to steal what is mine. Please accept my sincerest apologies for my grievous error and misjudgment of your character. I would be most grateful if I would be allowed to travel to Mala's pack to apologize to her parents and hopefully return with what is mine," replied Nilo.

Well hopefully that will do the trick and we can be on our way. I am anxious to get that woman home marked and mated. She is easy to look at and will serve my purpose well, Nilo thought to himself.

"That wasn't so hard now was it Nilo," asked Vaughn smirking. "Come along Nilo let's go make our apologies and see if the pack will be blessed with another member, or if your bad behavior causes you to be rejected. You have thirty minutes to get showered and changed before we head to Pinewood," Vaughn tells Nilo.

"Yes sir and thank you so much for this Alpha."

I look forward to seeing my friend, future alpha Mauro, while I'm there. Nilo is friends with one of the other brothers, Vaughn thinks to himself.

We are at the gate to Pinewood awaiting permission to enter their territory. We have been granted permission from the alpha and Luna but they are unhappy with us. Mauro has assured me I'm not the one they are most angry at. They are unhappy with Nilo being Mala's mate.

"Good day my beautiful," Nilo says to Mala.

" Nilo, Vaughn, What brings you here today?" I think they look dumbstruck, I may have to ask again thinks Mala.

"You handsome gentlemen come to explain last night's behavior. Nilo, you look as though you didn't get much sleep." I clear my throat waiting for my response.

Nilo shocks me and drops to his knees before me. He grasped my hands in his and is looking up at me with a pitiful frown. "Nilo is there something you want to tell me?"

He looks up into my eyes and says, "I sincerely apologize for ruining your evening. Furthermore, I understand if you reject me as your mate. I realize it was a great misunderstanding on my part and know that I behaved unacceptably in your presence. May we please try this again? I would be honored if you accept me as your mate and accept my most humble apology."

My parents and those witnessing this gasp in shock and are dumbstruck by the scene in front of them."Nilo, I accept your apology and will think about being your mate." Mom mindlinks me, "Mala, I think it will do him some good to have to work for it."

In the meantime

"I, Alpha Vaughn, offer you Mala my sincere apology for the rude behavior that was displayed last night. I should have remembered how possessive a male wolf can be of his new mate. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me for my bad manners. I however will not apologize for wishing I was your mate."

"Alpha Ruby and Luna LeRoy please accept my apologies for the scene that was caused."

"Apologies accepted Alpha Vaughn, and we understand completely, " replies Alpha Ruby.
