After my talk with Mom, I mindlinked Dale and let him know I was done and he could please bring Nilo to the stables so I could take him horseback riding. " Sure thing sis. I will send him right out. " Welcome to the stables how about we take a ride and enjoy this fresh air," I suggest.
" Your wish is my command," Nilo replies as he mounted the horse.
"Nilo, I was wondering, when will I get to meet your wolf? What is his name and what color is he?" Mala asks rather curiously.
"Where are all these questions coming from my beautiful?" Nilo asks.
"Well, Nilo as you know I just turned 18 and there are a few things that I have been learning as a new wolf. Mary told me that she and Thomas's wolf could communicate instantly because she was from our pack. I don't remember about Patty and Dale. I just thought since you are older than me you might know. I didn't mean to upset you, " I tell him.
We dismounted from our horses and walked hand in hand to the picnic tables. Nilo swept my hair to the side and tucked it behind my ear. He is so sweet and gentle. " My dear Mala I am certain that our wolves will have plenty of time to check one another out after we complete the mating and marking," he says with a warm smile. "Also you didn't upset me, sweetheart," he says with sweet tenderness. He then leans in to kiss me ever so gently. When his lips touch mine they are so soft his touch is so gentle. He pulls me closer and kisses my cheek and looks at me as if to ask if what he did was okay. I smile and nod my head. "Nilo may I see your wolf now, please? I ask pleadingly.
"Here now? what clothes would I wear afterward?" he whines. "I won't peak while you strip out of your clothes, I promise please," I ask with puppy dog eyes.
"Okay cover your eyes, and I'll let you know when I'm done," he tells me with a sigh.
I feel Nilo's cold nose touch my hand. I open my eyes and this small wolf is standing in front of me. He has grey fur and sparkling blue eyes. He has Nilo's scent. "Hey there boy, how are you doing?" He wags his tail as I scratch behind his ear. "Lena, can you ask him his name?" Mala, I still don't sense a wolf spirit and I don't speak regular wolf. she says rather frustrated. Mala, I'm sorry I only sense Nilo. I see the same shape you see. I feel the same fur you feel. I hear the gentle pant, but I do not sense a wolf spirit. Just Nilo in wolf form and a touch of dark magic even more certain he is just a shape-shifting witch," she confirms.
"Nilo you are a beautiful wolf. I look forward to completing our mating so I may communicate with you in wolf form." This made Nilo wag his tail while I continued to pet his soft fur. "Lena, should we change to see if we can communicate that way?" No! Mala, I feel it would be dangerous. We already know he does not have a wolf spirit for me to talk to. We will continue to be naive like your mom said," Lena reminds me. "Okay, I just hate lying to our mate like that."
"I would feel bad also if he was our mate," she says unceremoniously.
"Nilo it is getting late I will put your clothes on the table so we can ride the horses back to the barn." Nilo's wolf licked my face as I covered my eyes. "Lena listen as he changes back". I will don't you worry. I still sense a bit of dark magic. Good thing it's getting time to head back I suddenly don't feel safe out here alone.
"Mala, you may open your eyes now", Nilo said in what sounded like a bit of an upset voice. "Lena do you think he has access to our thoughts". No, I don't.
"I enjoyed meeting your wolf Nilo. I forgot to ask you his name". "It's Lib, my dear." "Well Nilo he is very attractive just like you."
"Thank you for that, my sweet mate. Let me help you back up on your horse. Mala, I enjoyed our time together this afternoon. We should head back before they send a search party out for you."
"Mala why do you ask these questions about my wolf, he asked again.
"Nilo I didn't mean to upset you," I replied. As I explained to you before my curiosity is because of my brothers and their mates. "I understand you are curious," says Nilo. I just wonder what Mala was talking to her wolf about Nilo thinks to himself. I've seen that distant look in her eyes. "Mala what were you talking to your wolf about when I was in wolf form," he asks me unexpectedly.
"We were talking about how yummy you look. She is anxious to meet Lib after we mate. She wanted to come out to play. I didn't think you would like me getting naked in an open place like this," I tell him.
"Thank you Mala you are right I can be a bit jealous so I would like to keep you to myself when we reach that point."
"Here we are back at the stables, I will put the horses in their stalls then we can head to the packhouse," I tell Nilo. Horses are in their stalls now we can head to the packhouse for a movie with my family.
We are meeting up with my brothers and their mates for a movie.
I look forward to seeing my friends Dale and Thomas. They share my view about women belonging in the home silently obeying their mate. Their father embarrasses them with the way he allows his mate their mother to lead this pack. They will not sit back and watch a woman rule much longer, thinks Nilo to himself.
