Heaven in Hell

Chapter6: ANGEL

The man grabbed Pearl and she kicked him hard in his groin. The boss screamed holding his loin in pain. The other two men grabbed Pearl before she could run. They pinned her to the ground.

"Hold her legs Randy while I hold her hands" Hugo said to the other man. They held her tightly so it was impossible for her to escape.

"I wanted to be gentle with you sweetie but it seems you like it rough. I'll give you rough" the boss snickered. The boss knelt on top of her. As he reached to touch her, Pearl close her eyes tightly.

"God pls help me, anyone pls help" Pearl screamed in fear. Suddenly she heard the men screamed. Then she felt the boss move away from her, the others too also let go of her. She still kept her eyes closed. She hears a very loud roar and the sound of the men screaming.

Pearl dared to open her eyes and stood up,she held her chest in horror at the sight before her. The men were gored beyond recognittion. Blood flowed on the ground. She saw that they were only two.

Before Pearl could figure out what had happened. She felt a strong presence behind her. She shivers and turn slowly to see an extremely huge beast. He had two large horns and it's skin was very thick and was pale blue. He had long talons and fangs. One look at this beast could make the bravest hearts tremble. It was so fearsome and scary. It's red eyes stared at Pearl hungrily. The beast held Hugo by the neck. He was lifted above the ground.She stumbles back in fear. The beast gave a loud roar and turn to face Hugo who was crying. Fear gripped her.

"Help! Pls help! I don't want to die. Arrrgh! My Mummy!" Hugo screamed. If not for how dire the situation was, Pearl would have burst out into laughter. The beast raised it's hands to tear Hugo apart when Pearl spoke.

"Pls don't kill him" The beast turns to face her. Pearl couldn't believe she just said that. Even Hugo was shocked that she was talking to a beast.

"Did the beast even understand her." This was the thought on both Hugo and Pearl's minds. The beast didn't make a sound, it just kept staring at Pearl. Pearl felt strange, she felt the beast could understand her.

"Please don't kill him" Pearl said again. The beast turned to face Hugo who was already saying his last prayers. Hugo whimpered in fright. The beast gave another loud roar that shook the forest. When it stopped, it threw Hugo away. Hugo couldn't believe his luck. He wasted no time running away for his life.

The beast then turns to face Pearl. Pearl held her breath in fear. The beast gave another large roar and dragged it's horn as if to tear it off his head. The beast kept roaring and holding it's head. It backed aways from her, it appears Alvin was fighting his demon. He didn't want to kill Pearl or possess her as his demon would like to do. When he saw that it was Pearl,he remembered how she gave him hope and fought his demon.

Pearl saw that the beast's eyes were turning from red to forest-green. The right thing for her was to run away but she found out that her body was rooted to the spot. She was so enthralled by the sight before her. Her mind told her to get the hell out of here. While her body adamantly refused to move. Still fighting with itself the beast turn it's back to her and gave a thunderous roar that shook the forest. Suddenly the beast transformed right before her into a human being. It looked like a teenage boy. He had his back to her and was breathing heavily. Pearl was so shocked, she couldn't all that had happened before her very eyes. Was she dreaming? How could a monster just turn back to a human being, things like this only happens in the movie.

Alvin was silent for a while and then as if remembering her presence. He turned his head slightly but Pearl wasn't able to see his face because he was wearing a hood but she caught a glimpse of beautiful silver hair. The breeze blew ruffling his hair making him look more mystical. He curls his fists so tightly that Pearl felt that his wrist might fall off.

"Are you ok?" Pearl asked her voice barely above a whisper. She couldn't believe she just said that, likewise did Alvin. Alvin was silent for a while.

"Get away from me if you want to be safe and worry about your own safety" Alvin said harshly. Pearl flinched but she could feel the contempt in his voice. She knew the contempt wasn't towards her but towards himself. How she knew she didn't know she just knew.

"He hates himself" Pearl thought sadly. Wait why am I not running away from him. This guy just killed two guys and nearly killed me yet am here feeling sorry for him.

"Well... He just saved your life from those hoodlums dear" a part of her argued.

"Thank you" Pearl blurted out. Alvin couldn't believe his ears. Does this girl not listen? He just told her to leave him and she's thanking him. Pearl turns to go, seeing that she was getting no response from him. Suddenly she feels dizzy,she swayed and would have fallen on the ground if Alvin hadn't turn in time to catch her.

He knelt down and felt her head,she was burning up,she had a fever.

"Are you ok? How do you feel?" Alvin asked. He felt his heartbeat quickened. He hoped those men hadn't hurt her.

"Hmmmmmmmmm" Pearl groaned. Alvin was so worried and scared that she got herself hurt.

"Pearl! Pearl! Can you hear me?" Alvin asked worried as she closed her eyes.

"Hmm you know my name? I'm..... feeling dizzy" Pearl said drowsily. Her vision was getting blurry, so she couldn't see Alvin's face properly. Before Alvin could say anything she held his hand and said in a voice barely above a whisper.

"Thank you Angel" then her eyes lids closed shut. Pearl had passed out. Alvin couldn't believe his ears.

"Did she just call him an Angel?"
