Colton's POV

“I have lots of work to do, I am not free to listen to your crap.” He completes the rest as always he does. “Come on man, it has been years since I am hearing this same boring line. Bring some change or else you will only groan like this alone.” Just because he is my asshole of a friend he is still able to speak after talking to me like this otherwise by now he mouth would have got bitten by a cat.

“Are you going to say or shall I call Lexi?” I asked as he continues irritating me which I know he enjoys but I need to shut him up. And, yeah, Lexi is a girl whom he is courting right now so her name sometimes I use to just get my work done. Or else, he would take an hour at least to come to the point.

Hearing her he goes a complete silent mode, and I can say he must be smiling right now imagining her in front of him. “Are you still there or lost in the world of Lexi?” Now, it’s my turn to tease him which obviously he would enjoy but not let me win.

“Yeah, just like you are always lost now a days. Nothing new, you know?” Chuckling at his words I got up from my seat going behind to look at the beautiful scene through the glass wall. And, I am thankful to one girl for this idea of hers as it helps me a lot to calm and cool down. Otherwise, my temper is not something good. The sudden change at that time annoyed me because I loved to have privacy and closed so this was not here before instead only a white wall.

But, now I am in love with this change and even imagining sitting in those closed walls makes me feel suffocated. “See, again you are lost. I knew it but I think imagination is enough for you, you don’t need the information I got.” Walking in my office he said out loud for me to turn around and sigh at his always surprise visits.

“Imagination is never going to be enough for me, you know this otherwise you wouldn’t have taken so much effort to collect the information’s me,” I said turning my head towards him as he comes and stand in front of me. He chuckles and opens his mouth to speak but fails as the knock on the door interrupts. “Come in.”

Coming inside with a smile on her face, she greets both of us and informs me about the London company CEO coming for a meeting today. “And, shall I book a flight for you of Paris next week?” She asked making me remember I actually have to go there for a wedding ceremony of a friend which means skipping work for those days.

Pinching my nose I sigh taking my seat, just the thought of skipping work makes me feel sick. “What? Really? Are you going to go to Paris?” He screams making both of us shocked and looks at him as if he got some breaking news to gossip. Believe if I say that he loves to get something spicy that contains some kicky or kinky content.

Raising my brows I only stare at him for him to say further when Hina, the secretary gives him his answer. “Yes, he is. Is something there?” She questioned and just by looking at her face I can say what is going on inside her. She must be thinking about it again she will have the trouble of again rescheduling my day or what? She is not wrong in her place as rescheduling my day or week is a tough job because then she will have to take note of every small thing in my day.

I don’t accept even a single routine of my day to be a second late and here it is about a whole week. Due to which her workload will increase, but she is being paid for it only, right? I shrugged the thought off and looked at my friend who is smirking at me. “Bro, you are really the luckiest, I am telling you.” He said making me stare at him.

I frowned staring at him with confusion when he blurts out the whole thing. “You dumbass, Paris is the information I am talking about. This place is it what I came to share with you.” My eyes got widened like a saucer as his words registered in my head and made my heart skip a beat at finally, finally, I got to know the location and I will be able to have a view of the beauty after a year.

"Are you serious?" I questioned getting up from my seat and getting him by his collar as he nodded his head. "And, you are saying this now?" He chuckles and raises his hands saying, "Only if I would get a chance to say. And, I wanted to capture your reaction man." Showing his camera he said. Leaving him I just get back to my seat recalling his words.

Jesus, I can't wait anymore. "Hina, book us the next flight of Paris," I said getting back to my work.

"Us?" she questioned.

Raising my head, I nodded my head and signed towards my asshole friend. I only know how I controlled my smile in front of them just to maintain my composure.

My heart clenched just with the imagination of finally seeing her, my WIFE, my truant consort.
