I’m standing here, frozen as the words ‘Oh, your mate is pregnant’ replay on a loop.
“Alpha Kai, are you there?”
“I am. Did you just say MATE,” I reply dryly.
“Well, yeah. A werewolf can get a human pregnant only if they’re your mate.”
“Bullshit,” I spit as I hang the phone up and slide it into my back pocket.
Holly has to be wrong. No way in hell is she my mate. The thought consumes me because if she were I would know. I would feel something, my wolf, Demon would know. I shake the thought from my head and finish smoking my joint. I need to talk to my Dad because I do not believe Holly. Not in the slightest.
