Wedding ring

"Honey, where is your ring?" Xavier calls out looking at Bella's ring finger which has no ring on it.
Bella follows Xavier's eyes and looks at her hand. What ring Xavier is talking about? She thinks as she too stares at her finger.
On the other hand, their parent's exchange looks among themselves as they nervously think about what to say to me. Mr. Benz nods at them in the assurance that he's going to control the situation.
"Maybe She lost the ring during the accident, Xavier." Mr. Benz says making Xavier and Bella look at him.
"She lost?" Xavier asks while looking at his ring which has scratches and is shaped out because of the accident but it's still there nonetheless.
"Yeah, yours is almost damaged while she lost is lost." This time Mrs. Aom replies, "you can contact the designer and ask him to make another set of rings for both of you. How about that?"
"Yeah, that sounds good. I'll contact the designer immediately. I want the ring on her as soon as possible." After a while of thinking, Xavier agrees while he holds Bella's hand and gently caresses the spot where the ring used to be.
"Sure, let's continue the dinner now." Mrs. Aom says that their dinner resumes.
They eat as they talk about a few things, one of which is about business.
"In a day or two, I'll start working from home. I'll keep updated with the work and do the things that should be done on my behalf." Xavier says when his father asks him whether he would start working or should he look after the business if Xavier doesn't want to work yet.
"That's okay, I guess that would be fine as well." His father agrees seeing nothing wrong with it.
"What about Bella?" Xavier queries turning to type, "would you also like to work from home?"
Hearing the question from Xavier which is directed at her, Bella glance at him before turning to others. She watches everyone and their eyes as they wait for her to answer.
"Um. I don't know." Bella answers while keeping her head low and pushing the food around the plate.
"No worries, Bella. I'll take care of the business. You don't have to work now. Also, you still need to rest and look after the baby. So, don't think about work any time soon." Mr. David comes to her recuse.
To his words, others nod at him in agreement. Knowing she isn't the Bella who used to look after the business, Mr. David thinks it's not good to force him to work. They don't know what kind of work Elena used to do, if the business isn't her field of work then they won't know what to do and how business works. he isn't scared Elena would ruin their business without knowing about it but he's scared Xavier would doubt Elena because Bella was a very good business person. She knows every little thing about business, so if Elena who's in Bella's place ends up making mistakes that would put them all in danger.
"Thank you, dad. I'll do as you said." Bella says with a smile which makes him smile as well
Though she isn't his daughter, whenever Elena calls him a dad he feels as if his daughter is calling him.
The feeling is no different from what Bella used to call him. With a smile, he nods at Bella.
"What do you want to name the baby?" Mrs. Selena questions changing the topic.
"Because we kept the gender as a surprise, we didn't think of any names. We thought after seeing the baby we'll choose the suitable name for her/him." Xavier states remembering the little discussion he had with Bella a few months ago.
Bella didn't want to think of names and put them ready, no, rather he wanted to name the baby after seeing them. He wanted a suitable name for their child after the birth, not any name that's already chosen even before the birth.
"But I already have a name in my mind." Bella voices out, surprising everyone.
"You already thought of a name?" Xavier can't believe his wife already thought of a name but told him not to think.
"Don't be so surprised, Xavier. I only thought of the name after seeing our baby. We have been with her for a week now, and during that time I thought of a name. Also if thought of it long before, I wouldn't remember it anymore." Xavier replies.
Xavier's mouth forms an o at Bella's explanation. She's right, Bella lost her memory she wouldn't remember even if choose a name before.
"Oh, yeah. So, what's the name that you choose?" Xavier asks, now excited to know the name his Wife already thought off.
"What if you all wouldn't like it?" Bella says with worry.
"Honey, you shouldn't doubt that. None of us thought of any names, you're the only one who did. And we all know you wouldn't choose any name just like that. So, just tell us, I'm sure we'll love it." Xavier assures Bella while holding her hand.
"Um. I thought Aubrey would suit her well." Bella mumbles, her voice so soft as if she doesn't want others to listen to her.
"Aubrey!" Xavier repeats the name, the sound, and the feel of it are just right, "I love it, Bella. You choose a great name."
He complements Bella who until now was scared about their reactions, and pulls a smile on her face. "Really?"
"Really, Bella, we like it too." Their parents say appreciate the name.
"Thank you, I'm happy you all like it." Bella thanked them and finally let go of the worry.
With that being their last conversation, their dinner comes to an end. After the main course, they were given desserts and ended their dinner.
"We'll go to bed, now. Goodnight." Xavier bids goodnight to their parents before he makes their way to the bedroom.
"Goodnight, both of you." Their parents say in return and head to their bedrooms.
They were going to leave after dinner but Xavier and Bella wanted them to stay for the night. They couldn't say no to their children, so they decided to stay and leave tomorrow morning.
On the other hand, Xavier leads type to the elevator as they go up to their room. When they enter the room they find the baby still sleeping and they walk to the bed. Sitting on the bed, Xavier grabs his phone from the table and contacts the designer immediately. He informs the designer to prepare the same again and have them delivered to him as early as possible. Being a well-known designer in the country and having many employees under him, it's not a big thing for the designer to prepare the rings again. So, he promises to deliver the rings within two days. Happy with the designer's promise, Xavier ends the call and turns to Bella.
"He said he'll delivery the rings in two days." He informs Bella who smiles at him.
"Um, Xavier?" Bella calls Xavier who nods at her to continue, "I think I lost my phone along with the ring during the accident. I didn't find it anywhere and when I asked mom, she said I lost it. Can I buy a new phone?"
"Of course, you can. You shouldn't even need to ask me about it." Xavier finds Bella cute when she asks his permission to buy a new phone while fidgeting with her fingers like a child who lost her belongings.
"How about order one now?" Xavier queries as they won't be leaving the house any time soon.
"Sure, I like it that way." Bella agrees immediately.
With a chuckle at how eager Bella is, Xavier orders a phone online.
"It's done, ordered on the premium it'll be here in a day," Xavier states and places the phone back on the bed table.
"Okay." Bella nods at him.
"Let's sleep," Xavier calls as he goes to sleep but stops seeing Bella who is still sitting.
"I'm not feeling sleepy, Xavier," Bella whispers looking at him.
"Why?" Xavier asks concerned.
"Don't worry, it's because I slept during the evening that's why I'm not feeling sleepy now," Bella replies so that Xavier won't worry unnecessarily.
"Oh! How about we watch something, say a movie until you fall asleep?" Xavier suggests, he's feeling sleepy but for Bella, he can still wait. He can't sleep while Bella is staying awake.
"It sounds good." Bella agrees eagerly while smiling widely.
"Then which genre do you want to watch? Action? Comedy? Drama?" Xavier gives the option for Bella to pick his choice of liking.
"Horror thriller, Xavier. I like to watch horror movies." Xavier says excitedly.
Hearing Bella's choice, blood drains out of Xavier's face.
"H-horror movie?" He utters with wide eyes.
"Yes, horror movie." Bella says and her smile slowly fades seeing the actual horror in Xavier's eyes, "you don't like horror movies, Xavier? Then we can watch something else."
"No, I-I'm fine with h-horror movies. Let's watch." Xavier agrees to watch not wanting to make Bella unhappy.
"Let's watch then." Bella claps happily as he scrolls through the movies list.
While Xavier prays for his life.
