New Day

At Rodriguez House.

"Let's wash up and take a nap until lunch," Xavier suggests as he stands up and pulls Bella along with him.

Nodding at her husband, Bella follows Xavier to one of the doors and she looks at the bathroom in awe when they enter inside. Do bathrooms this big and beautiful? She wonders as her eyes wander all over the bathroom. It has everything and more than some of the things she doesn't even know. By seeing the house, she already thought of something like this but still seeing it is surprising her.

Chuckling at his wife's surprised face, Xavier pulls Bella to him and starts undressing her clothes. Being lost in looking at the bathroom, Bella doesn't notice that Xavier already unbuttoned all her top buttons and when she was about it let the top slide off Bella's shoulder, Bella gets back to his senses and pushes Xavier's hands away and stumbles a step back.

"W-what are you doing?" Bella shutters as she hurriedly closes the top and covers her exposed skin.

"Getting you ready for the bath," Xavier replies before he starts filling the huge bathtub with water and adding scented oils to it.

"I'll bathe on my own," Bella says as she watches him.

"Why? It's not like we never bathed together before." Xavier calls out making Bella blush.

"I-I don't remember that. Every time you touch me it feels like the first time you are touching me." Bella states and puts her head down as Xavier starts taking off his clothes.

"And I'm here to remind you of all our memories. That this is not the first time." Saying that Xavier grabs Bella's hand and pulls her to him.

Bella's face turns red being in close contact with her husband and tries to pull away. That doesn't mean Xavier is crossing his line or going against Bella's words. It's just that Bella is too shy with everything that's happening and just wants to hide from her embarrassment. Xavier Chuckling at his wife's cute reaction, Xavier shakes his head before continuing to undress them. And this time Bella doesn't say no and lets him do what he intends to do. She is just looking down she is feeling shy.

After discarding their clothes, Xavier gets into the tub and urges Bella to go in which Bella does with a slightly shy nod.

With Bella's back pressed against Xavier's chest, Xavier embraces Bella before he starts scrubbing her. They soak in the warm water and wash up before getting out and cleaning themselves dry. Putting on some casual clothes, Xavier makes Bella lie on the bed and he lies next to her, bringing both of them together.

"Rest for a while, until it's time for lunch," Xavier whispers against Bella's hair whose head is tucked under his chin.

Humming at Xavier, Bella fists a small part of Xavier's t-shirt in her grip before closing her eyes and getting to sleep. After Bella fell asleep, Xavier stares at his husband.

"She lost her memories that is why she feels that it's our first time but why I am feeling like I am touching her first time," Xavier mumbled until he too fell asleep.

Xavier wakes up to the soft crying of their baby girl. Blinking his eyes open, he looks at the cradle and sees their baby trashing her hands and legs in the air as she's crying. He looks down and finds Bella still sleeping, so he decides he would tend to their baby before it's late and end up waking Bella. Gently untangling himself from Bella, he makes Bella lie comfortably on the bed and rests her head on the pillow before pulling the covers over her. He gets down from the bed and walks to the cradle before carefully picking up the baby. He's no expert when it comes to babies, he doesn't even know how to hold a baby this small but he does it on instrict, after all, it's his baby.

He cuddles the baby in an attempt to stop her from crying but he couldn't manage to. He frowns thinking if he's doing it in the wrong way.

"She's crying because she's hungry." He snaps his head to his Wife to see her getting down from the bed and walking toward her.

"You woke up?" he asks Bella who nods at him with a yawn and starts preparing the bottle for the baby as everything is arranged in the room.

A water kettle, a mini fridge to store milk and other stuff, baby formula, and a bottle. Bella was shocked seeing all these things here when she observed after coming out of bathe but she didn't question her husband. Seeing this house and everything here, she didn't have to ask me about this. So, she brushed her amusement aside and started boiling the water and preparing the milk.

"I'm sorry, I tried to calm her down before you woke up but she wouldn't." Xavier apologizes feeling bad for Bella.

"No problem," Bella smiles at him and starts feeding the baby,

"Also I think I had enough rest, and I umm.."

He stops not completing what he wanted to say so Xavier urges her to, "and what?"

"And I feel hungry," Bella replies with a blush on her cheeks and her eyes stained on the baby who's sucking on the milk.

"We can go and eat lunch after feeding her, lunch would be ready already," Xavier says with a chuckle, and Bella nods at him.

Xavier just watches Bella whose attention is on the baby. He's amused by how much Bella had changed after the frightful event. Maybe not be much, but he sure observed a few changes in his Wife. Per se, Bella wasn't that soft-spoken person but now she speaks in sweetness, soft and calm. Bella would blush now and then but she wasn't the one to feel shy more often, these few days she blushed more than she did all these years.

These little changes are very evident but it doesn't mean Xavier doesn't like it because he does. He loves the change in Bella, it's good to see his wife being sweet and shy in front of him. Something he always wanted.

Bella is a strong person, no doubt about that but sometimes she acts tough under certain circumstances. And she felt during those times, instead of acting strong, she wanted them, Bella, to depend on him. That, it's okay not to be strong in front of him and cry on his shoulder. It's okay to depend on him. So, this little change in Bella is making him happy, it makes him feel like now Bella is free in front of him and shows him all the emotions, whether being strong or vulnerable. He likes it.

"Is something wrong?" Bella's voice snaps him out of his thoughts and he stares at his Wife who is watching him confused.

"Nothing." He says and looks down to see the baby sleeping.

"She finished drinking the milk, put her in the cradle." Bella states and Xavier does the same as he places the baby in the cradle.

After making sure she's fine, they leave the room and take the elevator to go to the dining room. When the elevator stops, they step out and almost bump into Mrs. Aom.

"Oh! You guys are here, I was on my way to call you." She says while taking a step back.

"Yeah, we woke up a few minutes ago and feed the baby before coming here," Xavier answers as he holds Bella's hand and leads her to the dining room.

Xavier's mother looked at their handholding. Then His mother nods at him and walks ahead of them. Entering the dining room, Bella's eyes widen seeing the huge table filled with many delicacies.

"Is there some party going now?" She mumbles staring at the table with big round eyes and mouth wide open.

"Of course, not. It's just for us. If it's for a party, we should prepare 100x of this." Xavier stares making Bella gasp.

The table is so big, easily fitting ten people but that didn't shock her because for a house this big she expected something along these lines. But it's the food that's shocking her. She thought about the party because the food on the table and easily be served to 50 people. She wonders if they usually cook this much food, it's kinda waste if they did because there are only a few people here.

"Don't be so surprised, Bella. It's not usually like this but today we asked the cooks to make all these in celebration of you three coming home back safely. It's just a small celebration among us. Of course, all the cooks and the other servants will eat the food so it's not wasted." Mrs. Selena explains as if reading her mind, so accurately that she doubts maybe she said it out loud.

Nodding at her, she takes her seat when Xavier pulls a chair for her who then sits next to her. The servants serve them the food and begin their celebratory dinner. Bella eats happily because somehow all the food is according to her taste.

Everything goes well until suddenly Xavier asks a question that makes their parents sweat.

"Honey, where is your ring?" Xavier calls out looking at Bella's ring finger which has no ring on it.
