Baby Girl.

"Who are you?" Bella asks everyone after seeing all the new faces in the room, to her anyone can be new at this point.

Xavier shockingly looks at their parents before turning to doctor Jack. Doctor Jack sighs, he already knows this is going to happen but still, it's hard to explain to him and the possible reaction from Xavier is kinda scaring him. But still, it's his duty as a doctor to explain the patient's condition to his family members. As he already talked about everything with Xavier's and Bella's parents, now he should explain to him about Bella's condition of losing her memory.

"Xavier, Bella lost her memory." Doctor Jack says shocking Xavier and confusing Bella.

"What?" Xavier calls out, his brain already seeming to start to hurt.

"During the accident, she hurt her head badly and as a result, she lost her memory. She won't recognize you nor your family, anyone for that matter." Doctor Jack explains this not just to me but to Bella as well.

"How long it would take for her to regain her memory? Is there a chance or not?" Xavier's queries begin for the best.

"Honestly, can't guarantee the exact time. It might take weeks, months, or sometimes even years. If she encounters any situations which would trigger past events she might remember them fast. But it's not suggestive at this time. As she's still in the healing process, trying to remember or others trying to make her remember will lead to negative results. She would hurt if she puts pressure on her nerves and may lead to serious problems furthermore." Doctor Jack suggests.

Xavier takes the doctor's words and processes them. As much as he's sad that Bella lost her memory, he's happy that at least Bella is still alive. As long as Bella and their baby are with him, it's enough for him. Bella may not recognize him now or remember their moments but that doesn't matter much because Xavier will do anything to make new and better memories. He makes up his mind to shower Bella with more love than before and wait until Bella remembers the past.

"I understand, we won't do anything that would cause her more trouble. I'm happy as long as she's alive and well." Xavier replies staring lovingly at Bella who just looks at him without any emotion on her face.

Their family and doctor Jack gaze at them with pity. They know what they're doing is wrong and when the time comes when the truth will be revealed, it would hurt both Xavier and Elena, not to forget the consequences. But now it's the best and they don't have any other choice. When Xavier finds out later, at least then he would be in a state where he would take it, though it breaks him apart. However, if they tell him now, it may cost his life as he's already in a bad health state. So, from all sides and situations, this decision of theirs seems right.

"I-I don't understand what's happening here," Bella states feeling completely lost.

"Your name is Bella, this is your husband Xavier and they're your parents and Xavier's parents." Doctor Jack tells while showing everyone Bella, "you had an accident because of which you lost your memory. That's why you're unable to recognize your family." Doctor Jack explains the Bella of her condition.

Every word the doctor said, Bella takes into her mind. However, she doesn't feel any connection towards them. The only person she feels a connection is with Xavier but not feeling that they were together. The doctor said they're her family but how come she can't feel at least something towards them? And the questions floating in her mind are visible in her eyes.

"You might still be confused about everything that I said but don't think much, that would hurt your head and result in other problems. Don't worry about anything, your husband and family will take care of you." Doctor Jack assures with a smile, sensing Bella's confusion.

Bella nods at the doctor understanding what he said, also she doesn't have the other apart from listening to them.

"Now, please take some rest. You both are still under observation. If you start getting well and reach a stable state, I'll discharge you." Doctor Jack says making others nod at him.

Listening to the doctor, Bella lies down on the bed and rests her hand on her stomach.

That immediately makes her feel something and brings a vivid memory of the baby but she can't point out what it is. She doesn't understand what's feeling. She sits up immediately, surprising the others. Seeing Bella, doctor Jack nods internally. he guessed right, though Elena lost memories there's still a part of her that remembers her baby. Unknowingly, it's still in her mind because she carried the baby for all these months.

"What is wrong?" Xavier asks confused and kinda scared of Bella's behavior.

"It feels like something is missing," Bella replies while caressing his tummy unknowingly, out of habit.

"That would be your baby." Doctor Jack intervenes, making Bella look at him.

"Baby?" Bella gasps repeating the word.

"Yes, your baby. You were pregnant, though you might not remember it." Doctor Jack notes.

"D-did lose the baby in the accident?" Bella calls out, her eyes already wetting with tears.

Although she doesn't remember anything, she still feels connected to the baby she carried. Just the thought of losing the baby is making her sad.

"Of course not. The baby is fine but we had to operate on you and take the baby out before the due date. So she's still under observation. She's getting well, her condition is improving every day." Doctor Jack tells the happy news to everyone.

"Our baby is a girl?" Xavier utters unbelievably, doctor Jack did tell them about the baby but he didn't tell them about the baby's gender.

"Yeah, didn't I tell you before? Sorry, it might have slipped off my mind." Doctor Jack apologizes for his mistake.

"Can I see her?" Bella requests the doctor.

"Not that you can't but you're not in the state to go and see her. And bringing the baby here is a lot of work. How about you wait for a day or two? By then the baby would be in good condition and I can bring her to you, keep her here with you." Doctor Jack states.

"Okay, if she's fine that's enough. I'll wait." Bella agrees to be happy that their baby is fine.

With a nod, doctor Jack leaves the room letting the family have their moment. After he leaves, Mrs. Selena moves to Bella and asks her how she's feeling.

"Mom" Bella said but she feels like this is the first time she is calling anyone Mom.

Mrs.Selena's tears start rolling.

she moves forward and kisses Bella's forehead.

To which she tells her she's fine. They help both Xavier and Bella to rest and leave the room after taking one last look at them.

As doctor Jack promised, after two days he brings the baby to Bella and Xavier. The baby is in stable condition as she improved a lot more than the doctor expected. So, doctor Jack shifted her to her parents and made arrangements for her in the same room as Bella and Xavier.

"She just looks like you," Mrs.Rodirguze said to Bella.

Bella smiled at her and nodded. Indeed she is a little version of Bella.

Seeing the baby for the first time, Bella couldn't help but cry out in happiness. Though Xavier didn't cry like Bella, he almost did because he was that happy. Their baby is so small and very delicate. She inherited all her features from her mother from her color, eyes, nose, and lips. She looks exactly like Bella.

As for Xavier and Bella, even their condition is getting better. Their wounds are healing at a faster pace and the doctor Jack said in a few more days they would be discharged. Their parents visit every day and stay with them the whole day but during the night, Xavier would send them home.

Doctor Jack arranged caretakers for Xavier, Bella, and the baby. Though they're in the hospital, they're provided with all the facilities. As Xavier wanted to stay in the same room with Bella, the doctor arranged a VIP room for them with a big bed and all. Everything is going well, Bella bonded well with the baby and their parents but there's still some awkwardness between her and Xavier. Bella is taking her time to get used to Xavier and Xavier is okay with it. He doesn't want to burden Bella by pushing her to get close to him immediately.

After the accident and getting out of danger, Xavier feels this is their new life and is starting a new chapter in life. So, he's going to start everything with Bella again and fulfill his goal of having his family.

"Goodnight, Bella," Xavier whispers as he sleeps next to Bella.

"Goodnight," Bella replies with a hint of shyness as she sees Xavier who's smiling at her.

Xavier nods before gently laying his hand on Bella's waist and closing his eyes before drifting off to sleep. Bella continues to look at her husband with a smile on her face until she falls asleep.

"Why his touch feels so foreign to me? it feels like it's the first time he is touching me. It's like everything is new. I am feeling like this is the first time I am seeing him and everyone. but when I see my daughter she just looked like me. I can't deny that she is mine. It made me happy." she muttered.
