Xavier and Bella's eyes widen as they take in the situation of Xavier's office room.

"What's all this?" Xavier mumbles as he walks around the room while Bella stood at one side and watches him.

Behind them is the driver who brought baby Aubrey's bag. He put it aside and left the office room silently.

"Sir, as it's been a month since you came to the office and also as you safely recovered, each department has prepared this for you as a welcome back greeting." Sheen, Xavier's secretary says while standing at the door.

Hearing her voice, Xavier and Bella turn around and find her to their surprise because they didn't know she was following them. Xavier nods at her nonchalantly and turns back to see the bouquets and flowers with greeting cards decorating his room. Smiling at his employee's warm greetings, he decides to convey his thanks.

"thank you all for your greetings and that today evening will be a dinner party. I'll arrange a small dinner party for you guys. I'll book the restaurant and inform you of the further details later." Xavier tells his secretary who nods at him but still stands at the door.

Bella frowns at her but doesn't say anything. Xavier walks to Bella and helps her walk to the couch before making her sit there and he sits next to Bella.

"That's all for now, you can leave," Xavier says to his secretary when he still finds her at the door.

Nodding at Xavier once again, she leaves the room with one last look at him and closes the door back. When Xavier turns to Bella, he finds Bella looking at the door with a hard stare.

"what's wrong?" Xavier asks Bella while looking at her confused.

"She was filtering with you. She could have informed me the flowers are here and left immediately but no, she stood by the door and looked at you with a stupid smile and excited eyes." Bella states with a straight face making Xavier chuckle, "why are you laughing?"

"You reminded me of what you have done months ago," Xavier replies to his whiny wife in between his laughs.

"What did I do?" Bella queries, eager to know what she did that Xavier is laughing about it even after many days.

"My previous secretary used to flirt with me but I never minded and didn't fire her because she was excellent at her work. But one day when you visited me here, she was in this room and explaining to ut some project. You stormed into the room saying she was flirting with me and slapped her right on her face before firing her from the job." Xavier explains what happened before and takes baby Aubrey from Bella's hold. questions surprised, he can't believe she slapped someone.

"Yes, you did. And later I had to appoint the one who's working now. But it happened very recently, I appointed her like two months before, so I exactly don't know much about her. Turns out, she's just like the previous one." Xavier says with a smirk.

"Hmm, too bad I won't be slapping this lady as I did before," Bella replies and gets up, walking to the huge window and watching the city through the glass.

"Aren't you jealous of her filtering with your husband?" Xavier pouts while standing up and going to type.

He's sad that Bella didn't want to slap this secretary unlike before, not even a warning. He expected Bella to go ballistic on her and show her possessiveness toward warded. He won't mind getting another secretary if it means Bella showing his love to Xavier because that's something rare. Bella never used to show love to Xavier in public, in private it's remotely better. In all honesty, Bella isn't an expressive person, she even rarely said I love you to Xavier rather she shows it in actions when situations occur, like how it happened with the previous secretary.

"Not really because all she, or any other person for that matter, can do is look at you but they can't touch you. They can't do anything apart from looking at you. I have all the rights on you and you belong to me." Bella says while turning to Xavier and looking at him with seriousness.

"Damn! get butterflies when you say something like this," Xavier states with a stupid smile and moves closer to Bella before kissing him on her lips.

Before they go any further baby Aubrey starts to whimper in Xavier's hold. Pulling away, Xavier pouts as his daughter disturbed their moment while Bella chuckles

"She doesn't want to share her mother with anyone," Bella said before taking her from Xavier and walking to where her essentials bag. she takes out her formula bottle from the bag and headed to the couch. Sitting on the couch, she starts feeding her.

"Then, I'll get into work. You can do anything you like, okay?" Xavier speaks sitting on his chair.

"Sure, you start your work." Bella nods at him.

As days pass by, Xavier gets busy with work while Bella sits with sleeping baby Aubrey in her lap just watching her husband working diligently. Soon it's time for lunch by then Xavier gets done with work and sets all the things. Signing, he stands up and walks to the couch where Bella is sleeping. Bella fell asleep while watching Xavier. Smiling at Bella, Xavier sits next to her and gently takes Aubrey from her before setting her on the couch. Xavier turns to Bella and watches her sleeping face. He brushes the hair that fell on Bella's face and softly caresses her face while looking at him with a loving smile.

He's so grateful to whichever God that is for saving Bella because it's not just Bella, but even Xavier's life is also saved. He doesn't know what he would do without Bella. Bella is his life, if anything were to happen to her, Xavier wouldn't be able to live. He sees no reason to live when Bella isn't there. Sometimes, the accident still haunts him like a nightmare but he's glad they all made it alive.

"Are you done with your work?" Bella asks him sitting up straight after waking up from his nap, "sorry, I fell asleep."

"No problem and yeah I'm done with work for today," Xavier replies snapping out of his thoughts.

"Hmm, then what do we do now?" Bella queries with a yawn and looks at the baby who is now awake.

She woke up just a few minutes ago and is laying silently with her small fist in her mouth. Recently she developed this habit of putting her fist in her mouth and sucking on it. To make her forget it, Bella puts a pacifier instead but as Bella didn't see her until now, she is at her business.

Seeing her, Bella takes her in her hands and takes out the pacifier from the bag, removes her hands keeps the pacifier in her mouth. She looks at her and smiles at her with her big round eyes. Unable to resist her cuteness, she giggles before peppering her face with kisses and Xavier smiles watching them both.

"Let's have lunch in a restaurant and then go home," Xavier suggests referring to Bella's previous question.

"Okay." Bella agrees and they leave the company.

The drive to the restaurant takes about twenty minutes. When they reach the restaurant, the driver parks the car, and they both along with baby Aubrey hop out of the car. As Xavier leads Bella into the restaurant, a waiter receives them and brings them to a table. Sitting at their table, they order the food. Their lunch goes by smoothly and they get back home. Just after spending some time, Xavier tells Bella about the dinner he promised to his employees.

"I'm tired, don't want to go. You go without me." Bella disagrees to go to the dinner party.

She spent a lot of time out today and it tired her already. She's not in the situation to attend the dinner party. Also, they have to take Aubrey with them. As took her to the office, she was looking worn out and is making a fuss since they returned. Children, for sure, behave differently after being out but it's just that Bella doesn't want to trouble her more which would in turn troubles them.

"How I can go without you? I'll also not go. I'll inform them about this." Xavier says while taking his phone out.

"Will that be okay?" Bella asks, not knowing whether it's fine to do so.

"Of course, it's not like I attend all the dinner parties. They'll be fine on their own, it happened many times before." Xavier assures Bella with a smile she nods at him.

When Xavier finishes informing them, they eat their dinner and go back to bed early.
