Funeral

Alice knows she can't keep this secret. One day Elena will find everything. After thinking so much Alice decides what should be good for Elena.
"I'll agree to your proposal," Alice says making others release a sigh of relief.
"Thank you." Mrs. Rodriguez thanks her on behalf of everyone as the others nod at her.
"But on one condition." Alice states and the others raise a brow at her in question.
"What is it?" Doctor Jack asks, waiting for her to speak.
"I want to be in contact with you, not with Elena but with you people. I want to know everything that's happening with her and be updated about her. I won't meet her nor contact her, I won't even bother you guys. Just inform me about her well beings now and then. I'm the only one she has, I want to know what's going on in her life even if I'm not with her."
"Of course, you can. You don't have to request us. Thank you so much for agreeing with us." Mrs. Selena says, being thankful for her.
"Thank you. Can I see her once?" She requests, wanting to see Elena.
"Sure, I'll take you to her." Doctor Jack states as he gets up and shows her the way.
He takes her to the room where Elena is resting and opens the door as he leads her in. Her eyes well up with tears when her eyes fall on the figure sleeping on the bed with many wires attached to her. If it wasn't for the heart monitor reading her heartbeat and showing, she wouldn't even tell whether she was dead or alive.
Taking slow steps, she reaches the bed and looks at her before her hand gently strokes Elena's hand that's resting on the bed. She just stands there, without saying anything just letting her tears fall. Alice can believe a few hours ago this girl who was lying half dead was smiling happily. After a few minutes, she wipes her tears and bends down a little, pressing a small kiss on her forehead.
"I hope for a safe recovery for you, Elena. And I pray you would be happy being them. Always be happy, I promise I'll meet you again one day when the right time comes." She promises to Elena.
When she walks out, she sees the parents walking toward her, she furiously wipes her tears and puts on a smile that doesn't reach her eyes. There's one more thing she wants to ask them but she doesn't know how. Would it be too much to request too many things?
"Is there something you want to say?" Mrs. Selena asks her gently as she places a hand over Alice's shoulder.
"The baby, I want to take Elena's baby and perform the ritual." She states, her voice cracking as she spoke. She still can't believe Elena lost the baby, it's just too heartbreaking.
"About that, we're thinking to do it along with Bella. If it's okay with you, we'll proceed further." Mr. David says.
So they thought and decided they would perform the baby's ritual along with Bella's, of course only if she agrees. She takes a minute to think and doesn't see anything wrong with what they said. So she nods at them and they all make their way to the two people whom they're going to be seeing for the last time.
Doctor Jack orders one of the nurses to go and bring Elena's baby to them as they go to the room where Bella is. When they enter the room, Alice's eyes widen seeing Bella. Of course, they told her Bella looks like a replica of Elena but seeing her for real with her own eyes, shocks her. How can it be possible for two people to look so alike without any relation?
Minutes later, the nurse walks into the room with a bundle in her hands. She walks in and goes to give the baby to doctor Jack when he asks if Alice would like to carry him, the baby is a boy.
"Would you like you to hold him?" Doctor Jack's words ring in her ears as she's completely absorbed in staring at the baby.
"Oh, y-yeah." She shutters as she agrees.
Doctor Jack nods and signals the nurse to hand the baby to Alice. With trembling hands, she takes the baby from the nurse and holds him in her hands. The blanket has covered him whole except for his face. She feels the baby looks exactly like Elena, inheriting all her features. He's just so small, so tiny and so cute. She couldn't help the new set of tears that pooled in her eyes. If this isn't a game of fate she doesn't know what is it. Why does it Elena who has to go through all this in life? She didn't have parents growing up, the only person she was ever with wanted her the baby and when she was finally going to have something she wanted, she lost that too. It's just too cruel.
"Your Mom loves you so much, baby. please take care of yourself. Your mom will come and meet you soon" Alice said while sobbing.
"It's okay." Mrs. Aom says trying to console her.
The drive to the cemetery is quiet except for the silent cries from the mothers. Mrs. Selena can't help herself, after all, it's going to be her last time seeing her Daughter. She sat in front of Bella and hold her hand tightly in hers. While the fathers are just staring at her with empty gazes, Mrs. Rodriguez tries to calm Mrs. Selena.
"I remember the first day when I hold her in my hand. I promise I Will never let my daughter suffer any problem Now I have to let her go." Mrs.Selena with a heavy voice. She too is feeling it hard to let go of her daughter, but it's already done, nothing can be changed now.
One by one they get down from the vehicle and then the helpers bring Bella using the stretcher and take him to the place where they would entomb her. Mrs. Selena looks away unable to see it anymore and her husband hugs her as she cries out loud. Mrs. Rodriguez is no different. The process is hard to witness but they have to. It's breaking their hearts to see their child getting buried in front of their eyes.

They place the baby right next to Bella and finish the process just like how it's done to Bella. Mrs. Selena collapses on her knees in front of the tomb, her sobs uncontrollable.
They try to calm her but fail as she ends up fainting because of crying so much. They hurriedly bring her to the vehicle and leave the cemetery as they make their way to the hospital.
"What happened?" Doctor Jack asks worriedly seeing her when they reach the hospital.
"She fainted after crying so much." Mrs. Rodriguez states.
"Mrs. Selena is fine, she fainted because she exhausted herself from crying and also because of the shock of this news. She would be waking up in a few hours, don't worry." Doctor Jack assures them.
"I'll get going then." Alice says she followed them back because she got scared when Mrs. Selena collapsed, "keep me informed about Elena."
"Thank you again, Ms. Alice. We'll do that." Mr. Benz promises to make her nod before she leaves.
They sigh as they wait for Mrs. Selena to wake up and their son Xavier, as well Elena.
