You Want The Alpha? Come Get Me!! Jared's POV. My eyes slammed shut, my desperate attempt to restrain my raging inner wolf proving futile. The blaring alarm only served to stroke my rage further, and despite my best efforts to rein it in, my anger continued to mount. "Argh!" I snarled, forcing my eyes open to meet the concerned gazes of Gamma Sam and Beta Lucian, both standing at my side. They had just delivered the alarming news, and it was sending me into a wave of frustration. The mere mention of a threat had set my blood boiling, and it meant one thing in my mind. "Rogues were hurling an attack on our pack!" My fury surged as I pondered how these wretched rogues dared to threaten our territory. The audacity of it all fringed on humour, but I couldn't find it in me to laugh, not with the seething anger coursing through my veins. Gradually, I put forth effort to push myself off the ground, my palms pressed against the floor as I fought to regain my footing. But then, I sensed Lucian's hand on my shoulders, and his question irked me. "What are you doing?" He inquired, but my response was an angry growl. I was preoccupied with trying to stand, and his questions seemed utterly pointless. Didn't he grasp that our pack was under attack? Despite my unsteady state, I managed to rise, but with a stagger. As I attempted to move again, I felt Lucian gripping my hands, preventing me from moving further. "You can't go out like this; your wolf isn't…" His words trailed off as my teeth clenched together, my gaze locked onto him with fury. I couldn't help but wonder when my Beta had begun to tell me what to do. I averted my gaze briefly and with a sharp turn of my head, I shot a glare in his direction, my eyes burning with anger, and for a moment, I felt an overwhelming urge to tear into him. What on earth was his issue? If only he understood the immense effort I was exerting to keep this fury at bay, and how I would go to any lengths to regain control over my wolf's unruly temper. Lucian's interference only worsened the situation. "Would you prefer I unleash my rage on you instead?" I challenged him, my tone edged with frustration. He didn't appear fearful, but I could sense him pondering my words. I didn't wait for his response; instead, I forcefully withdrew my hands from his grasp and stormed out of the hospital, a gust of wind trailing behind me. A blast of cool wind collided with my heated skin as I emerged from the hospital, my eyes immediately locking onto my parked car just around the corner. I wasted no time, practically sprinting to the vehicle and yanking the door open with a force that made it slam shut as if I were trying to inflict harm upon the car. It was all an indication of the overpowering rage consuming me from within. Controlling it had become a difficult task, and all I seemed capable of was causing destruction wherever I went. Without any intention of dallying, I ignited the car's engine and began to drive with such reckless ease that had anyone been inside the vehicle with me, they might have suffered a heart attack from the wild ride. I drove straight to the Packhouse, and my relentless journey came to a halt only upon arrival. I couldn't quite put my finger on why the sight of rogues infiltrating our territory brought me a willful sense of joy. To me, they appeared like insignificant pests, begging to be squashed. With this vindictive mindset, I stepped out of the car, my eyes fixated on the rogues as they scurried about the Packhouse, growling and attacking anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path. A fierce battle raged on between them and the pack's other Gamma members. However, my instinct told me that they were mainly seeking me. That was the only logical explanation for my inability to leave my current location. How dare they set foot in my pack? My rage flared once more, my hands clenched into fists, my nails digging into my flesh as I observed the chaotic scene unfolding before me. The battle raged on, the scent of blood heavy and metallic in the air, assaulting my nostrils. The growling inside me grew louder with each passing moment. My inner wolf pleaded relentlessly for me to join the fight, and gradually, an irresistible urge pulled me towards the chaos. Cursed with an inability to control my wolf's fury, I could only allow it to surge, using it to my advantage in situations like these. As I walked closer, my fingers elongated, and my fangs extended, a wicked grin stretching across my face. I could feel my wolf's presence nearing the surface as I closed in on the battleground, when suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed behind me. I spun around swiftly, prepared to defend myself, only to discover that it was Gamma Sam and Beta Lucian, both panting heavily from the distance they had covered. My guard lowered, and I observed them in silence, withholding my words. "Alpha, we can't let you face this alone," Lucian stated, moving closer to me, his eyes fixed on the ongoing fight at the Packhouse. "What do you think is happening?" he inquired, turning his gaze toward me with a puzzled expression. I could discern the curiosity in his eyes, as he likely wondered why the Packhouse had become the rogues' target. In my mind, it was sheer foolishness on their part to even consider such a bold move. "Searching for me!" I growled, my voice strained through clenched teeth. My clothes were already drenched in sweat, Sarah's blood, and the pulsating veins on my forehead betrayed the intensity of my anger. My fists remained tightly clenched as my eyes continued to analyse the chaotic scene unfolding before me. I watched as my loyal pack members fought bravely against the rogues, engaging them in a brutal battle. A willful urge surged within me, compelling me to tear someone's throat out. A sinister smile played on my lips, and I found myself tempted to taunt the rogues, inviting them to attack me directly. There was no need to think twice; I wasn't alone in this battle. Standing at my side were the two finest fighters, Sam and Lucian. And it gave me enough confidence. "Hey, rogues! You want the Alpha? Come and get me!" I shouted defiantly, my voice ringing out across the battleground, challenging the rogues to face me directly.
