The next few days marked a notable shift in the relationship between Margaret and Anthony. After a bit of pleading on Margaret's side, and pathetic attempts to disagree on his, Anthony had agreed to extend their stay at the Palace by two and a half weeks. To those around them they seemed to be in their own little world with no regard for what was happening in reality. Sparks buzzed between them when their fingers touched as they reached for the jam jar at the same time, or when their arms brushed against each other as they passed in the corridors. Electricity crackled around them in a way that made it visible to everyone that they shared a secret, something that had not been there before. Who could know that they had started acting less like acquaintances, and more like a married couple?
