Chapter 18.

Khun Sam POV.

"I love you..please take care of yourself.."I said as I was about to leave..

"Khun Sam.."

I don't want to leave,what should I do?!

I don't want to leave now.

If she just know how badly I wanted to stay.

I comes close to her again and give her kiss..

A warm,full of love,worried,pain and trust kind of kiss..

"I love you.." That words always makes me weak and fall in love with her even more.

I don't want Mae to witness how much it hurts me.

I don't want her to see how I'm dying inside.

I don't want her to see how desperate am I to be with her.

I don't want her to see how much I keep all the pain inside 'til it slowly eats me.

I don't want her to see that..

That I almost die just to see her..

"I love you too,Mae..." That's all I can say as I forcing myself not to burst in tears.

I'm ready to leave now..Dew open the door for me and as soon as he opens it.

A tall man exposed it..

Looking at the both of us in shock.

"D-dad.." Dew's voice is shaking as his dad throw an angry looks at me.

"Khun Sam?"

It was Nop,who's just standing behind on Mae's dad.

"What are you doing here,woman?" He ask me with his eyebrows almost colliding.

All I can do is gulp,as he enter their house that made me came back inside..

Mae look at me in joy but it fades immediately when she spots her dad.

"Do you think you can easily sneak out to see my daughter?" He ask me Infront of their family.

Dew and Nop are sitting together,Aunt Som was beside him and Mae..

Mae is also sitting beside him.

The way he looks at me is full of anger like I'm the most wanted criminal in the world.

I got the money, reputation,fame,popularity almost everything and he's still mad at me?

He don't want me for his daughter??

What else that he wants?

I can take care Mae,i can give her everything,I can treat her right, I'll marry her, I'll give her every money I had.. I'll give her everything..

I can do everything for Mae and I hope her dad can clearly see that.

"Sir..."

I can't believe a Mhom Luang like me would live her life like this...but if it's for Mae then I'm willing to do anything.

Even give up my life.

I can kill myself if that's what he wants.

I can clearly do that just to prove to him I really love her daughter.

Mae was just looking at me,so does her dad.

He look at me,smirking.

"If I ask you to bend infront of me,and kiss my shoes Infront of my family,will you do it??"

I intently stare at him,reading his face expression and waiting for him to continue his words..

He cross his arms over his chest and look at me intently as well..

Looks like a staring contest now..

I glance at Mae who's shaking her head and telling me not to do it.

I take a deep breath.

This is for Mae,for us.

If I'll do this, he'll gonna let us back together again in a way that we always wanted.

He'll not gonna get in between us.

But if I'll do what he says.

My dignity will be ruined and my integrity as well.

People will see how a normal person like him drag a Mhom Luang woman down..

They'll ashame on me.

They'll throw me trash.

They all gonna hate me.

But what about my love towards Mae?our relationship?if I will not gonna do this,it means I wasn't love Mae enough.

"Hesitating Sam??I thought you're gonna do anything for my child??"

He speaks again and it triggers me.

He really loves to put too much pressure on me.

Is this a trial or challenge??

I take a deep breath again and stands up..

I look at Mae,smiling sweetly as I could..letting her know that it's fine,I can do this for us.

She shake her head while she's in tears.

"If I'll do this,will you let Mae and me be happy,Sir?"

I pause for a second.

"If I'll do what you just said,will you accept us unconditionally??"

I look at him like I really mean what I've said.

He didn't response any single word.

He just look at me and look at his shoes again indicating like he's challenging at and that he thinks that I cannot do this.

Well,he's wrong.

I bended my knees and kneel down Infront of him,he stunned..surprise.

I guess he really thinks that I cannot do this.

"Khun Sam.."

Dew said out of nowhere as I was about to kiss his shoes.

"Dad,you should stop this..this is too much,Mae and Sam deserves to be happy,you can't do anything about it but to accept it.."

Dew aggressively stands up and guided me to stand as well..

"Doesn't mean you're working for this woman.."

He pointed me.

"You'll on their side...this..this love between the two of them is wrong!!"

"You're not in 70s anymore...it's already 2022..you should accept that everything will change include your kids.."

Dew almost raise his voice..

I try to stop him but he always resisting.

"You're not gonna accept Mae because she's in love with a woman?!well guess what dad..."

He pause for a second..

I don't like where this is going.

"Dew.."

"P'Dew..."

Mae and I said in churos,trying to stop dew as he grabs Nop's hand and he furiously pull Nop to get more closer to him..

"Yeah,I'm in love with a man too...does that mean you're gonna treat us just like how to treat-"

It was so fast like no one expecting it..

Uncle Ivan suddenly punch Dew's face in no time.

He out balance and lying on the floor.

"You both wasn't ashamed of yourself!!"

He shouted,and almost his own voice will be heard all over their house..

Mae is bursting in tears,I wanna touch her and hug her to calm her down but I can't because her dad is on the way.

Dew scoffs as he stood up and Nop guides him.

He wipe the blood at his lips and look at his dad madly.

"Are you just always gonna punch us 'til you finally got you wanted,huh?!why is it hard for you to accept us??you always saying that we just do what makes us happy,this...this is what makes us happy dad..and even you throw us at the outer space,we will gonna choose this love right here because we know that this is true..."

Uncle Ivan didn't response anything..

I saw Mae shaking hugging herself,whispering something at herself.

I immediately get close to her.

"Please please please stop it..I don't want to hear another fight again..please please.."

Mae POV.

After dew confess to dad what is his real relationship with Nop,he soon receive a big punch on his face.He out balance and lay down at the floor.

I watch how Nop guides him and helping him to stand again..

They all shouting like they're far ways from each other even though it's just an inch.

My body immediately shakes as soon as I remember what happened at me before,when mom and dad always had a fight so I had to run at my bedroom and hide myself in my closet just to not hear them shouting..

I'm shaking as I remember how dark it is to be inside of that closet, especially at those times when dad lock me up there for almost 3hours..

"Please please please stop it..I don't want to hear another fight again..please please.."

I whispered to myself as I tiredly take a sit back to the couch.

I cover my ear and whispers "please,stop..."

And suddenly a soft hands touches my skin,it was a warm and safe kind of touch..

Assuring.

"Mae..."

She calls me out while my eyes are still close.

I feel the way she cup my face and leans it to look up to her..

"Mae....what's the matter?"

That's my brother's voice..

I slowly open my eyes and all I can see now is the beautiful face of the woman I've ever love.

I burst in tears as soon as I know that it was her.

"Mae....."

She calls me again..

We look at each other's eyes and read each other's mind..

And as soon as she understands what does I needed to calm myself down..

She hug me so tight..

She wrap her arms around and I'm feel home.

I feel the comfort.

I feel the love.

I feel like I'm reconciled.

"Shhhh...I'm right here..you don't have to be afraid,Mae.."

"Don't..don't..please..."

"I promise I won't leave you..."

She interpret my words...

"Enough of your dramas..."

He pause.

"Mae,come here.."

He aggressively grab me and place me at behind.

"Don't you ever dares to comes close to my daughter...even you die..I still not gonna accepts you..."

"Dad..please..."

I tried to convince him..

"No!!! You should be marrying Nop!!"

"Dad for god sake,wake up!!!Nop and I doesn't love each other anymore..."

I raise my voice to him and he looks at me straight.

"Mae was right Sir and I'm in love with your son.."

He said without any hesitation.

"Is that so?!!then you should leave my house,you should pack your bags now..."

"If that's the case,I'll leave as well...it's better to live with Nop in a small apartment than dealing with you.."

P'Dew said and then he grabs Nop hands and their immediately leave the house.

Khun Sam look at me and she was ready to leave as well.

"Khun Sam..."

I call her out as she was heading at the door.

"Dew...I'll give you a ride.."

She said,ignoring my presence..

"Sam!!"

I aggressively grab her wrist and she was shock..

This is the first time I her that way...

"This is too much,Mae..I don't think I can handle your dad's threat anymore.."

I'm just looking at her.

What does she mean?

"I almost ruined my dignity when I was about to kiss his shoes..he wanted me on my knees to beg Infront of him,for what exactly??for insanity?"

"Khun Sam..."

"I think....."

She pause for a second.

"I think that...."

"No please...babe...no..don't do this.."

I watch how she took a very deep breath..

She forcely close her eyes as she's head up in the sky.

"Let's just end,Mae..let's just accept that we aren't really for each other..I'm happy that you became a part of my life.."

She was about to get in the car when I suddenly hug her from her back..

Not again..

"Please no,you just told me a couple minutes ago that you're not gonna leave me,you're not gonna broke up with me..please don't do this,we both know how much you love you..and..and I love you too..can-"

"I guess I just love you too much that I even forget how to love myself.."

Wait no this is not happening nooo...

"Khun Sam.."

"I love you too much Mae,to the point that I almost lose my dignity,I let your dad ruins me..I let him hurt me effortlessly,I let your dad kills me.."

"Please stop..."

"Khun Sam please,stay with me please.."

"No Mae,maybe it's better this way..let's just accept that we aren't meant to be..maybe somewhere in another lifetime we'll finally free but not in this timeline..."

She hold my hands and it weakens me to the point that I forget I'm hugging her.

She throw a sight on me and even a glance..

I'm numb again.

She get inside of her car and drives off fast.

I didn't dot anything,I didn't run after her,I didn't try shout her name..I'm just right here standing alone witnessing how the first woman I love slowly drifts far from me 'til I didn't see her car anymore when it already get out of the gate..

And there...

As I finally breakdown and all I can do is sit in this ground,the hard rain started to fall..

"Khun Sam..."

That's all I can mouthed while I'm letting the rain pours in me..

I guess my dad just win..
