Xavier was getting ready to charge when Ellen commanded the man to halt and he was the one to approach him. He still did not put his sword away though as he did not want to take any chances. “Put your sword away Xavier I am not here to fight you.” To that said Xavier put his sword away not breaking eye contact with Ellen. Ellen feared the way he looked at him. He seemed intimidating such that even the bravest man would fear the young boy. He knew that he had to choose his words carefully if he wanted to save himself from the wrath of his young master. “What do you want?” Xavier asked annoyance with a hint of anger clearly visible in his voice. For someone who always hid his emotions, Ellen knew he had thrown himself in the lion’s den. He shouldn’t have agreed to bring Xavier home especially that he was actually given a choice. “I was sent by your father. He asked me to bring you home. He said if you co…”.Ellen did not even finish what he was saying as he was cut by Alexander who busted out of the house like something was chasing him. Ellen had thought that Xavier was the most handsome boy he had ever met but when he saw Alexander he was completely mesmerized. The boy was very charming. A person would drown in his golden brown eyes that showed pure happiness if he stared for a long time. His features were more on the feminine side making him look handsome and gorgeous at the same time unlike Xavier who carried pure handsomeness in his genes. Xavier turned to see Alexander standing there like a cute bunny in his over sized powder blue shirt and cream pants. He looked at him as he stood there with nothing to say. After a while he turned and looked at Ellen who was still looking at the young man standing in front of him looking like a Greek god and goddess morphed together to create him.
His stare was disturbed by a talking Xavier. He cleared his throat and focused on what Xavier was saying. “Tell father that I will not return home. I am fine where I am.” He was just about to leave when Ellen held him and said, “ He said if you come HE will leave your friend unharmed and after marriage you can still visit him. If not HE will be forced to remove that young man from your life because HE thinks he is holding you back.” Ellen said emphasizing the he just too clear things out with his master. He definitely does not want to be on the bad side of him. As for Xavier, he was left astonished by what he head. His father has gone out of control. How dare he threaten him like this? His threat made it even harder for him to leave Alexander alone. How can he trust him now? “I said tell him I will not return and I will not marry Alice because I already have someone I like that I will willingly marry.” Xavier said in rage leaving Ellen and Alexander perplexed. Since when did he have a lover? He barely made contact with women if not at all. Alexander felt his heart clench. He thought that if Xavier married Alice, he would still have him because he did not love her at least they would still hang out and gossip about her but now things are different. He actually has a girl he likes and cares about. That girl probably meant the world to him and that decreases the chances of him having his friend in his life. He felt like throwing up. He did not know what to say or do.
“Ha ha ha.” Alexander laughed awkwardly and said, “Xavier, I think you should at least meet your father and tell this to him. I am sure he will understand you have feelings for someone else. Either way you will get married and that is what he wants and he will be happy.” Alexander has never felt such discomfort and hurt in his life. Even his mother’s death was not as painful as what he has just said. He tried to keep a straight face and smile but it felt as if his heart was being stabbed repeatedly making his smile awkward. He was scared that he was going to lose the only person who cared about him in this world and he will be completely alone.
“Alexander, my father will not understand. I know him well. He will not care and most importantly he will think that it is very abnorm…” “Give him a chance Xavier. Why do you always think like this about your father? No ifs and buts just go and you can always come back here. I will be happily waiting for you.” That was the toughest lie Alexander had ever said. He was probably, no, definitely going to regret what he was about to do. He knew the ending of this story and he was not in the picture, he had to do this so that the wounds can start healing as soon as possible. Xavier just nodded and said, “Then I will return after talking to my father. Wait for me, okay.” With that said, he turned and left with Ellen not knowing what was waiting for him.
