Chapter 75

It’s been a few minutes since I started to walk towards the village of Sol, I finally reached it, and I searched for Lyn’s avatar.

“I’m here,” I informed Lyn towards mt arrival in the village of Sol, and I still turned around. To see her highlighted avatar in my screen. Still, I cannot see her. “So, uh... where are you?” I asked her and I nervously waited for her response because I feel like that asking her that is a bad move.

“Oh wait,” she told me awkwardly. “I am still fighting the monsters that I encounter, the loots they give will be a waste if I just let them be,” she added and for some reason that gave me the chills.

I low key believe on this saying, that what you act on the game, simply tease your personality towards the entire community, it may not be entirely true towards all player but still there are players like that, and I am not sure if Lyn is one of those players.

Never mind... I don’t care either way, if she is like that or not, we will still play together and I will still invite her to play with me. If it is not that so bad.

“Oh, I see, then I’ll just wait here until you arrive,” I told her. “Maybe I’ll go get some snacks while I wait,” I told her.

“Okay, I will be there soon,” she replied.

“Good luck with your monster hunt,” I said before muting my mic. I think I need to pee, so I went straight to the bathroom, and after taking a piss, I washed my hand and my face to feel refreshed and I am not lying about the snacks.

When I got out of the bathroom, I went to my fridge to get some ice cream, a cookies and cream one, and when I searched for it, I saw nothing but other flavors. But I highly crave cookies and cream right now, so I think I need to order someone to buy some for me.

I went to my door, to ask someone to buy it for me, but when I opened the door, there, I discovered that these three, John, Kuro, and Father are eavesdropping right at my door.

“What!?” I exclaimed and they just smiled at me as if what they did is not a big deal for me, but it is, I feel like that my privacy has been invaded by someone, but they stood up like it was nothing and they look at me as they clear the dust of their clothes.

“Just passing by,” Kuro excused, and them falling into my room when I opened the door, can I still call that passing by? No way, they are probably eavesdropping, I cannot tell them this right now because father is right in front of me right now.

“Yeah son, we just happened to pass by to your room,” he back upped Kuro’s words and I cannot believe that he is getting in with this thanks to these two idiots that hooked him up.

Is my action that really a big deal? I cannot fathom that they will go this far and I am that kind of person that values my privacy.

I know they are my family and friends but deep inside me, I feel like that I am losing faith in them. Well, I will not lose faith in them, just a play with my words.

“If you say so,” I told them and I smirked because their mere presence in front of me right now has some use to me after all. “Since you two are here, can you both buy me some cookies and cream ice cream?” I asked them and since dad is in front of us, they cannot refuse.

“Okay,” the replied with their gloomy voices.

“Here’s my card, oh, and also buy me some snacks too,” I told John and handed him my card, he grabbed it and I close my door slowly. “Just knock when you come back,” I told them smiling before closing my door completely.

That may be a blessing in disguise. So I happily went back to my pc, as I save a lot of time because I don’t need to search for someone to buy food for me because they are really just in front of my door.

I unmuted my mic and I wear the headphones again.

“Hey, I’m back,” I informed her and I moved my mouse to look around to check if she already arrived in the village.

“Oh, hey hehe, I am just on my way towards you,” she informed me. So, that means that there is still a lot of waiting for me to do.

“How far?” I asked her.

“One thousand meters approximately,” she answered, ohh that is really a long wait for me. “Wanna talk about something while I make my way towards you?” she asked me.

“Why not?” I accepted her offer.

“What do you want me to talk about?” she asked again. I thought of something and many many questions came into my mind, but these topics are very shameful for me to ask.

“Something that you want to talk about,” in the end I did not have the courage to aske her the question that I wanted to ask her. I just fall back, besides everything that she will tell me right now will be interesting for me because this way I will get to know her.

Who she is, what she likes, and many more. I want that, and I am happy to listen to every word that she will say to me right now.

“What about I tell you something when I was in high school?” she asked me.

“Ohh, seems interesting,” I played along to hype her up on telling me the story that she wants.

“I may not seem like it, but during my high school days, I was one of the most feared students in the whole school and even college students tremble in front of me,” she proudly said quickly followed up by her laughter.

“That’s cool,” I replied.

“Yea, but not at all, you wanna know why I became the most feared student in the school,” she asks again.

“Why?” I asked her back to answer the question for me.

“Well, one day...” she said, but not continuing it.

“One day?” I asked.

“Wait still recalling on what really happened that day,” she replied. “I don’t want to tell you any more lies,” she added and I smiled because she chose to be honest with me.

“Take your time,” I reassured her, and waited for her to remember what she is trying to remember on what she wants to tell me.

“Oh! I remember now,” she exclaimed. “Yea, one day, it only happened in one day,” she added.

“That’s impressive spreading your influence in just one day,” I remarked.

“Well, I can say that what happened on that day is not just a simple act,” she said. “It’s the main event where the whole school watched my fight,” and I was surprised with one word.

“A fight? Did I hear you correctly?” I asked because I think I misheard what she is trying to say.

“You did not hear anything wrong,” she answered. “You heard it right! HAHA,” she added then laughs it off.

“Oh,” I just responded. I shook my head because I was caught off guard by that I did not expect that she is feared because of a fight, I expected because she has some outside influence, and it seems like that she worked with both of her hand on this one. Well, hard work really tastes good when you get good results.

“Yeah! That was a fun fight that I almost forgot,” she said. “But that really hooked me up in fighting,” she added and another word surprised me again, she did not just gain her notoriety in her school just by simple means, and I learned that she is really into on what she does. What a great surprise for me!

“So, you really like fighting?” I asked just to make sure in fear that I misjudged her.

“A lot!” she exclaimed and it seems like that I am not totally wrong on this one, and I am starting to fear her.

“So, the students back in your days must be really afraid of you,” I remarked.

“You bet,” she replied to me proudly, and I think that she telling me the truth.

“You remember how I won the fight with you?” she reminded and my eyes widened, when I remembered her moves when we fought fists to fists. My face is bright red right now, and if we are together right now the atmosphere will become awkward almost immediately.

“I am really sorry about that,” the first thing that came into my mind. I literally forgot about that.

I wish that I just gave her the spot, but that time I never really cared about anyone, all I cared about is the card. I wish that I could take that back.

She is really a fighter, and the fact the I lose to her in a fight proves that she is a really fearsome opponent, and she is one of the people that I don’t want to anger.

“Oh no it’s okay,” she said. “You gave me a very good fight and I really enjoyed it,” she complimented me and all my worries went away when I heard about it.

“Oh thank you,” I replied.

“Oh, I am here,” she said and saw her highlighted avatar immediately.
