I went straight to Lyn’s avatar as soon as I saw her in the screen, I pressed my shift button, to sprint towards her avatar. Well, I felt excited when I saw her avatar on my screen.
“Wait I’ll come over to you,” I told her as I sprint my way towards her.
“Sorry for the wait,” she apologized.
“No, no, it’s okay,” I reassured her.
“Now let’s play,” she said sweetly and goosebumps crawls all over my body literally and I don’t know how to explain it. It is just that I feel happy right now. Hearing her voice like makes my heart race for some reason.
If I will explain how I look right now, I can say that I look like a child that has been given what he wants and trying it for the first time. The mystery, and just discovering this new toy, and in this case, it is my feeling.
“Are you open for some adventures?” she asked me. Ohh, she does intend to cover the new area that has been updated in this game, weeks ago, I saw on the community page of this game that it is very hyped because of its great resemblance to Japan, a country where the self-proclaimed otakus that cover up the most of the player base in this community.
I must admit, that Japan has one of the most calming, beautiful, and to others aesthetically looking sceneries, that is suited for cou- Oh god! Imagining it like that, makes me think that we are on a date.
No, we are just chilling around, geez! It is very awkward to think it that way.
“I have heard about the new area,” she said, and I am right that the same thing is running on her mind too which is great for us, I guess? Well, I can avoid being in a disagreement with her. “What it is called again?” she asks me, and also, I don’t remember the name of the place.
“Wait a minute,” I told her as I open my mini map by clicking it on the top right corner of my screen, and I navigated the new area that has been added to the game. The area is dark but the name is still displayed on the area. “Oh it’s Nagoya!” I announced.
“Nagoya,” she repeated the name of the place but with a low voice. “Oh, I saw the images from the patch,” she said. “It’s beautiful!” she exclaimed. “It also looks like that the devs also added new features in the game.
“Shall we go?” I offered her my assistance to lead our travel towards Nagoya.
“No, it’s okay,” she said. “Let’s take the carriage this time,” she suggested. “I don’t want to delay our arrival again, because of my distraction about the new creatures and fighting them,” she added, and I find that she has a point.
“Well, okay,” I said.
“I don’t want to keep such a beautiful place waiting for a beautiful princess,” she said then laughs.
“I agree,” I whispered.
“What’s that? Come again I did not quite here that right,” she asked me for what I said and I snapped out of my thoughts, and I need to be more alert because I am saying things that I should not say, that may lead to Lyn misunderstanding me, and most of all I want to avoid explaining myself as much as possible.
“Uh nothing,” I replied to her. “Ohhh I see a carriage!” I announced when I literally saw a carriage right in front of me, and it is like my prince charming right now, because it literally saved me. Lyn got distracted so fast as she turned around immediately to see the carriage that I just pointed to her.
“Oh great,” it seems like that the plan really worked out so well. Technically, it is not a plan but a saving grace for me. “Let’s go!” she said and she started to run towards the carriage immediately.
I followed her, as soon as I saw her running towards the carriage.
Now, come to think of it, it is really like that we are on a date, right now. I wonder if she thinks the same towards me right now.
“Hey!”
“AHHH!” I shouted when a hand touches my shoulder. I am so focused right now thinking about her.
“HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!” then I heard laughter behind my back so I immediately removed my headphones and turned around only to see the two idiots behind me having the laugh of their lives.
“Funny guys haha,” I said to them.
“Bro you literally screamed like a girl, in front of your date,” Kuro said and I immediately stood up to cover his mouth so I can avoid him saying another word.
“That’s not very manly bro, especially on a DATE,” the guts of John! I can’t believe it that they barge in my room just to tease me like this, in front of Lyn, speaking of her. I checked if my microphone has been muted and my heart dropped on the ground as soon as I saw that the microphone is not muted.
Does my noise cancellation remove their voices, I wonder, but still I can feel my sweat drenched on my body because I am very nervous, if she heard our conversation or not, because these two idiots inside my room right now? I muted the microphone so she won’t hear any of it anymore. My unmanly scream, she probably heard it for the very least.
“Guys come on, it’s just my friend,” I defended myself as I get the paper bag filled with the goodies that I asked them to buy.
“Or a girlfriend?” Kuro added.
“No! What made you think of that? We just played for just a few days together,” I explained to them, and yeah, I know that a simple reasoning won’t work for them.
“We don’t need any proof, because the proof is already in front of us,” John said. “The way you talk to her,” he said trying to do a twinkly eyes. “The way how you sounded,” he said changing the tone of his voice to a sweet one.
“No!” I refused. “Do I sound like that?” I asked because I am very curious to know.
“Definitely dude, you sounded like that,” Kuro adds up.
After getting that confirmation from Kuro I feel like my face is heating up.
“See, your face is getting red!” John exclaimed and my eyes widened.
“What!?” I asked in disbelief.
“Rei is inlo- hav, Rei is inlo- hav!” Kuro sang repeatedly to piss me off.
“Cut it off!” I shouted to make them stop. “Why are you inside my room in the first place without my permission when it clearly says that I am gaming through the sign outside my door?” I asked them.
“Rei it’s fine,” John told me. “Don’t deny your feelings embrace it,” he added totally ignoring my question. I shoved away his hand from my shoulder because I am very frustrated right now, just to think of it that way.
“Answer my question first dude, what you did to me is not funny,” maybe if I play my cards right this time, they might talk to me seriously right now.
“Okay chill,” John said. “We are knocking on your door for minutes already and you are not answering and the door is unlocked so you left us with no choice but to enter the room and we listened to your conversation,” he answered my question properly this time.
“For how long?” I asked when I heard him said listening to our conversation.
“For a long long time, dude,” Kuro answered me and I can’t believe that they just did this to me.
“Guys you are literally, invading my privacy,” I told them very seriously and with this act, it seems like that it is very effective when it comes on talking to them... seriously. Literally, they look like behave children in front of me right now.
“Sorry about that I guess,” Kuro said, well obviously Kuro will not take this so seriously.
“Just get out of my room, right now,” I told them and pushed them away softly until they reach the outside of my room, and when they stepped out of my room, I immediately closed my door and this time, I will not forget to lock my door.
I went back to my table and placed the food on the tables besides me so I can reach it when I feel like eating it. I went to my fridge, to place the other ice creams, in the freezer, so it will not melt until I decided to eat it.
When everything is prepared, I went back to my computer and put my headphones on.
“Hey, you still there?” I immediately heard Lyn asking for my wellbeing, and my chat box, is bombarded with her messages worried about me. I unmuted my mic.
“Hey, I am sorry about that,” I apologized immediately to her.
“What happened?” she asks me.
“My friends, they are bit of a dunce, you see,” I informed her on what really happened.
“I thought something really happened,” she said. “After that scream, and voices that I cannot hear very well, then so suddenly you muted yourself so I am extremely worried,” she added.
“Oh I am very sorry if I made you worried,” I told her.
“The carriage picked up other passengers and it seems like that it is the only carriage in this town,” she informed me. Ah those guys! They made me waste so much time!
“I am very sorry!” and this time I am the one that apologized to her immediately.
“It’s okay, we have no choice but to walk,” she said, and yeah it seems like it. We have no other choice but to walk our way towards Nagoya.
