The first brackets of round ended with me as warfreak101, Anonymous, Sky Reaper, Yuri, YouCan’tSeeMe101, Frolly, Blaster, SenZ, LoliLover, and Avernger7, who are left on the competition for the card. Now I am up against to Yuri, Anonymous to YouCan’tSeeMe101, Avenger7 to LoliLover, Senz to Blaster, and Sky Reaper to Frolly.
My match with Yuri will be decided by an RPG game that Mitsuha won earlier, which later on defeated by Anonymous with an ideal finisher. I am a little bit annoyed because, he got more fans than me and he just hides himself in that little corner where he is sitting right now.
The game is called Judgement Online, where we pick our class of heroes and unlike MMORPG games, we are in a third person point of view and this is not a point and click game, we will be the ones to move our character while casting our abilities. The game mode is a PvP match where no one will interfere in our fight, even hostile AI characters. It’s just us.
The fact that I don’t played this game too much is enough to make me more nervous about the upcoming match. I have enough knowledge, in that game and I know what class I am playing right now, which is the mage class, that focuses on damage using their abilities and managing their mana usage, specifically I am pertaining to Nuker Mage type. There are other classes of mages but it’s not that important right now since I am using my main class back when I tried this game.
I can confidently say that this is an old game for us who play games, and right now we are the first one to battle before the others and the one who will emerge victorious right now, is the first one to qualify in the final rounds. My phone has been ringing a lot lately, but I can’t take it out right now since the announcers warned me about using phones.
I want that card so badly so I can’t afford to be disqualified right now, I can think of a way later to console my angry father. What I need to do right is to focus on the game and win the match. Ignore everything around me since this will be a very hard one to win.
We are preparing in our lobby, managing the equipment that we will use in game, we already selected our character models, and mine is a child-looking mage that is carrying a big staff that wears a red gown and a long wizard hot. She has a red hair and everything in her face looks cute.
Yuri has her character designed like a humanoid mantis that has saber hands as its weapons. She chose that assassin class and her abilities are in stealth assassin type which means that she will have a lot of invisibility. That’s why I need to be wary on every bit of her actions. The announcer muted their mics inside the arena because this game is sensitive to information especially that Yuri has invisibility. Any leaks on her location will give me an advantage.
I can hear my heart beating faster and faster every second passes by and now I need to prepare myself for the worst. I don’t want to lose just yet and if ever I wanted to lose in the hands of the strongest player here right now which is Anonymous.
The game started and the loading screen did not take much time and we are brought into a gladiator arena where the arena is round and on different corners of the arena there is a cutscene that both entered there. The camera rotated to give us the 3rd person point of view. The skills button and items popped up on screen. The countdown started.
Get Ready! 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. FIGHT!
We moved away from each other and this works for me since I have the advantage when it comes to range. I casted a fireball spell and shoots it towards her, it has a splash effect even the spell did not hit her directly it reduced a little bit on her health.
I can see her health bar above her head, but I think that he has consumable healing items to restore that missing health of hers, as well as I. She focused on closing her distance with me since she knew that if she does not, she will probably lose the game. I continue to back away from her and she used a s***h and dash ability but it did not hit me but it quickly closed our distance with each other.
Assassins has much more dps (damage per second) than mages and I am in an advantage when it comes to burst damage. I casted a blinding skill which also blinded me because I am looking at it and it has no much use her since the fighting arena is an open area and there are no angles to use this effectively against her.
When the blinding effect is almost gone, I was surprised to see her in front of me. I want to slap myself right now since that move just puts me in a much dangerous situation. Such a desperate move by me that did not turn out well. She basic attacked me using her character’s dagger hands and that gave me a decent amount of damage, and my fireball just finished recharging and I casted it immediately which resulted in a direct hit and that reduced a great amount of damage to her. She backed off since her health points puts her in a disadvantage in this situation.
That also works for me and I have a lot of reduced health and mana. I consumed two mana potions first which left me with 3 more and my mana bar is back to full, then I consumed a health potion and since the damage is not that lethal, I am lucky for that, I only used one that leaves me with 4. I saw her character doing the same thing as me.
I used this as a chance to activate on of the scrolls that I equipped earlier. Each of us is limited to carry 5 things in our inventory, and I don’t know what she is carrying in her inventory now. Because there are variety of items in this game and there are that can turn around the tables in one game. Underestimating her would not be the best decision, it’s never the best decision.
I need to put some distance as much as possible and my casting has 5 seconds delay and there is enough time to activate it. The scroll will grant me an unlimited mana for 10 seconds and this is the one that I am telling earlier, a game changer item and I used it too early.
10 seconds is enough to burst her. I casted my ultimate spell which is an area where I can blink and each blink will consume mana, the mana cost will get bigger and bigger every time I use it, but the scroll will negate that backlash. I activated my 2nd spell which will strengthen my abilities. I blinked behind her character and I quickly activated my rooting spell, which will prevent her to move in 2 seconds. With that I blinked away from her ability’s reach and I rained down fireball at her.
I just clicked and clicked and clicked within that 2 second time frame, which only leaves me with 5 second more, the rooting spell can’t be used again since it has 5 seconds cooldown time. With that I blinked again in a side area where I can see her and the smokes of the fireball is preventing me to gain some information about her health points.
I was surprised that she is not dead and I casted again fireballs at her and she became invisible, I looked around the are to find her but I can’t. Then I heard a sound above me and I looked up and saw her leaping towards me. My finger instinctively pressed the ultimate spell button which blinked me far away from her.
My ultimate spell wore off just in time, and I am relieved that I avoided that, I can tell that I will be in a tighter situation if I did not blink away from her character. My mana bar is still full thanks to the effects of the scroll and there my ultimate ability has one minute recharge time. I am now knowledgeable about her skill sets that’s why I need to play more cautiously. I don’t know the cooldown time of her abilities; I don’t know which is the ultimate spell. This is the worst situation that I don’t want to be.
I saw her consuming a health potion and I fired a fireball towards her to prevent that and followed up with a basic attack and the potion consuming was cancelled and that did not add some health points to her, but she evaded my ability.
I need to use this more wisely maybe this is her tactic to make me waste my mana, and if I basic attack there is only enough range for her to execute her dash and s***h ability which will hurt my character pretty bad. Unlike earlier there is no time limit, and that means that we can take our time as much as we like. But this fight will end quickly, I can tell. Just one wrong move.
