Lucian's P.O.V

Zachariah was pacing up and down mumbling when i arrived "Lucian, I'm sorry. I checked with patrol team 3, they said they were mind-linked by team two of rogues breaching the Southern border so they left to help." I held my hand up to stop him "It's not your fault Zachariah, I just don't know why they would attack humans?" I looked around, I could still smell her sent and I wanted her, I needed her. "I'm not sure but bet they would of wished they didn't, If they were still alive that is" Zachariah said looking at the ground, I looked at him "let's make sure we have more patrol teams on duty for the time being, I'll talk to Zeta Ben to see if we could find information out about these rogues, why they are entering our territory and why attack humans" with that I shifted and ran back to the Pack house. Leila's scent had all but gone when i got back, I could hear everyone talking in the office when i opened the door. Dad motioned me to sit down at the table, everyone looked at me with concerning gaze "What?" I said as I leant forward, dad handed me a file "We may have a problem-" dad began before mum placed her hand on dad's arm "We don't know that for sure my darling?" she turned towards me as I opened the file, "Your keeping a dossier on Leila?" I glared at dad "Lucian, did you see her and her mum fight, bro they literally killed Rogues before we intervened!" Paul spoke first then looked at dad for confirmation, Isabel didn't look comfortable but I could see she was holding back. Mum stood up "Many humans who live with packs have been known to fight and train to protect themselves from not only our kind but all supernatural forces, maybe Jana is telling us the truth, we must give them the benefit of doubt." I know she is only saying this because Leila is my mate but I still appreciate having someone on my side. Dad held on to my mum's hand before speaking "I have sent Beta George and Gamma Eric out to find out information on both the Black woman, I have asked Young Alpha Joshua from the Moon Stone Pack to make enquiries with Oceanside asking him to keep our alliance a secret, Paul and Lucas I hope you will step up in their absence" both of them nodded at their Alpha, I can't believe dad would do this, I could feel the anger in my blood starting to rise when I looked at him with daggers, dad of course brushed it off before standing "Beta Jeremiah called and asked permission for him his gamma and their wives to arrive at sunrise, they wanted to check on Leila but also organise a birthday party for their children, apparently their son's Master Beta Trey and Master Gamma Raymond and Leila were all born on the same day, this will be the first time in four years they have been able to celebrate together. The rest will arrive at 10am. That is all. Lucian your mum and I would like a word" I really didn't want to stay I was angry he didn't trust my mate, did he not understand the mate's bond. I would die before I let anyone hurt my beautiful Leila. Everyone left, I could see Isabel feeling sorry for me which made me more uneasy mum was the first to speak as she held my hand "Son there's something you need to know," she looked at my dad before handing a piece of paper "Leila's full blood results have come in, not only does she have traces of Wolfsbane and other herbs and plants but she also has a steady level of-" mum was telling me the results as i read the paper, my blood was boiling and my eyes widened when i saw the last word "SILVER" I roared, I could feel mum flinch "HOW THE f**k DOES SHE HAVE SILVER IN HER SYSTEM!" I roared loud enough that Paul, Lucas and Isabel barged through the door as mum placed her hand on my shoulder "Son, please calm down and listen" I fell in my chair my breathing started to get angrier and louder, I was starting to lose control. Wolfsbane in Natural form can kill a wolf, Silver doesn't kill unless its pierced a wolf's heart but can severely weaken our wolf, so many things were running through my head as my mum knelt down in front of me "Your dad needs to take all options seriously including the fact that she is being used to harm you, he will take all the precautions in the world to keep you safe, which is why he has asked you to observe and to not get too close for the time being, I have sent these results to a witch friend of mine and also asked her to visit" I looked at my mum and my eyes started to calm down looking into her eyes "What do you think, mum?" she kissed my hand "I don't think they are a threat, I don't think these levels are harmful to us, I believe they are running from something or someone and I also believe they are being protected by other supernatural forces" she pierced her lips together looking at dad whose face is in dis belief, he shakes his head as he speaks "You mother and I have different opinions son but we both agree that until her friend comes back with results then we would like for you to not get too physical, we fully understand the pull a mate-bond has but i will not lose my son over it" I couldn't think and decided to go for a run.

Leila's P.O.V

We were heading into mum's office, its the only room that wolves wouldn't really hear our conversation as Mafalda gave mum our sacred chalice that was spelled so that where ever it was placed people could only hear muffled voices. "You have to stay away from him, Leila!" Mum said as soon as she shut the door, I sat down in the arm chair "But, Mum, you said he could be my mate, I may be 17 but he makes me feel.....I don't know but I feel like I'm being pulled to him Mum, I can't explain-" mum gave me a half hearted smile before pulling a chair close to me and holding my hands, I could see tears welling up in her eyes "I know Baby, believe me, the need ,the want, sharing that with only one person who is your other half, your perfect someone, you don't know how much you miss that feeling until its' gone" she wiped her eyes, I knew she was talking about her and dad, I have never seen anyone more in love than my parents, they were perfect "because Alpha blood runs through both of you, your mate bond is alot stronger and deeper which is why your feeling the way you are' she then stood and walked to the window "Sweet heart, we can not involve Lucian or his pack, this is our fight and ours alone, Aureus is still after you and we don't know why, You can not become Alpha and lead our pack to war until your 18 Leila" mum turned to look at me her eyes were no longer aqua blue but navy which let me know her wolf was present "We have not lived on the run, masking our scent, and feeding you wolfsbane and silver to have this fall apart" at those words I stood "If Lucian is my mate I won't deny him and I won't be able to keep this facade up, he could help us? he can protect me-" Mum shook her head and grabbed my shoulders "Leila listen to yourself, do you hear what your saying? You'll be putting him and his pack in danger, will you be able to forgive yourself if he dies or his sister!" I start to cry and mum pulls me into a hug "Baby, I'm sorry for being harsh about you and him, under normal circumstances huny, he would be welcomed but we are not under normal circumstances. We as a pack made this decision to walk this path because of what we lost, who we lost. I wish you could begin your life with your mate but until Aureus is dead you will never be free. I left your father alone to save you and your sisters, I failed with your sisters and your father died alone, I regret not being with him baby-" mum crumbled to the floor crying, I wanted to go to her but instead I stood there anger seeping through "and leave me as an orphan. My sisters died because I wasn't there to protect them, but once I am 18 its my choice mum when it comes to Lucian. I will avenge my sisters, my pack and my father whether Lucian is with me or not, but that is our choice not yours!" I spun on my heels and ripped the door open and ran to the back of the house not before hearing her plea "Leila remember what we have lost and what you still can lose before you decide on your relationship with Lucian"

Isabel's P.O.V

I pull up to Leila's house, I can't have my brother lose his mate so I will figure out what they are hiding, I grab the file mum gave me and Leila's art pad and hop out of the car, I start walking up towards the door when i hear something weird from the front window. I quickly kneel down, its really weird raised voices but they are muffled, Its like they are holding their hands over their mouths. I try and get as close to the window, I have excellent hearing but even with wolf senses I can only make out parts of it; Alpha Blood, Mate-bond, stronger, deeper What this doesn't make sense. Not involve Lucian or Pack, Lead, War, 18, taking wolfsbane and silver, She's purposely taking that s**t. b***h is crazy. If Lucian my mate, Won't deny, Keep up facade, help us, protect me, This is hard I'm getting a headache. Put him and pack in danger, forgive yourself if he dies or his sister, Oh s**t that don't sound good!!!  Who the f**k is Aureus,18 my choice with Lucian, Avenge sisters', Oh s**t she had sister's and someone killed them wonder if its' this Aureus dude, Lucian is with me or not! She likes my brother and understands what being a mate is, man i have to meet this Oceanside Pack. I almost fell over when I heard the door open then I heard Jana call out "Leila remember what we have lost and what you still can lose before you decide on your relationship with Lucian"  Wow these two are seriously crazy, I truly hope the Moon Goddess knows what she's doing to my brother. I could hear Jana crying, I felt sorry for her but if she tries to come between my brother and his mate, I'll rip her heart out. I slowly crept closer to the front door before standing up, I quickly straightened myself before knocking. A few minutes passed before the door opened "Isabel?" Jana asked as she looked around behind me I saw that her eyes were red "Hey Ms Black, Um mum asked that I drop this off, she said you'll need to revise it before Monday's morning meeting" Jana took the file and opened it, this gave me a chance to peek in her office where i saw a large painting behind her desk of an extremely handsome man, this must be her husband as Leila looks just like him except he has wavy hair she has her mothers hair. I quickly look away so that Jana doesn't see me and I pull up the art pad "Leila left this at the company, I thought she might need it" before Jana could take it off me I turned around "Can I give it to her please, both Lucian and myself have been quite worried about her?" looking at Jana with my puppy dog eyes hoping she would feel sorry for me. Jana smiled with a little concern behind it but showed me to the back door, "she's in the dance studio!" I nodded to thank her and started walking towards the building in the backyard How on earth did they afford this??? I thought until I heard the music as i got closer Me and You by Cassie wow that's going back I giggled getting closer to the door. I was shocked to see Leila dancing, not just because she was amazingly sexy with every move she did but this chick cracked her head on a tree and she's dancing like nothing happened, she had silver 3/4 pants on with black ankle top dance sneakers on a very sexy black crop bra on, It was then i realised she had tattoos. Well Lucian is definately gonna lose his s**t when he sees this, She had a tribal design down her spine, Angel wings on her shoulder blades and I'm sure she has a Crescent Moon on the back of her neck. I took a video of her for Lucian, this will drive him crazy watching how truly sexy she is. After a few minutes I decided to knock, she got a fright but gave me a smile she picked up a silver zip up before opening the door. "Hey Isabel, What you doing here?" she asked looking around probably looking for Lucian, "Hey, you left this at the company and I forgot to give it to you today" I pulled out her art pad and handed it to her, "So your a dancer and an artist?" I asked walking around the studio then i looked at her smiling, she giggled "Kind of, Mum use to teach us when we were younger, now I just do it to lose myself in the music." she walked to a small fridge pulling out water bottles of water and sat down on a bean bag "The art was my dad, when ever he had spare time I would watch him and Samantha drawing. I started couple of years ago" I couldn't but help hearing pain and sorrow in her voice as she spoke, I decided against asking about who Samantha was. I stood up and went to the mirror wall and checked my make up and hair "How are you feeling after today?" I asked pulling a strand of hair off my face, she looked a little nervous and started fidgeting with her water bottle "um, yeah, I'm feeling good, pain killers are working real good." I couldn't help but think she was hiding something but I knew I would find out sooner or later, I gave her a wink "Great, so I'm picking you up Friday night and taking you dancing, It will be amazeballs, So be ready by 9.30pm" I started rushing out the door as she tried giving me excuses for not going leaving her looking stunned, I rushed back to the house calling goodbye to Jana when she answered back I realised she was upstairs but her office was still opened. I know I shouldn't but.....Oh what the hell. I opened the door and walked in looking around, the decor was subtle but elegant, I saw the painting behind the desk Damn you are hot for an old guy I looked at his sexy eyes Hmmm emerald green seen those eyes before i recollected that his eyes were the same colour that Leila's goes when she dances and today when she fought but her eye colour are normally a lighter colour. I turned to the photo frames on the desk, there was a photo of Jana and who i assume is her husband sexy old guy, a photo of the two of them with two other couples, one of a younger Leila with two boys the last photo had me gasp as I picked it up it was a family photo of Leila and her parents with 5 other girls, I was so shocked I almost dropped it. I heard the back door open that i quickly put the photo down and got out into my car driving home. I ran inside mind-linking Lucian, Paul and Lucas to meet me in the games room right away. I went in and grabbed a glass pouring me a glass of whiskey trying to figure out how i would explain everything when Paul and Lucas came in throwing a basketball in between each other, I sculled the whiskey and while pouring another drink Lucian walked in "Woah Izzy, what's going on?" he asked snatching the bottle from me looking at me intently, I held my index finger up while I sculled that glass and placed it down before turning and realising all three boys were looking at me worried "Ok. First dad is right, there's more to the Black woman that meets the eye and they are hiding something HUGE!!! and possibly dangerous but I don't think dangerous to us, just them-" I gave Lucian a worried look "Leila in particular." before I could continue I saw anger seeping through Lucian "What the f**k Izzy, How do you know?" Paul said sitting on the couch with his arms crossed, I took a deep breath "I went to their house and they were in Jana's office but I couldn't hear them, their voices were muffled, I could make out snippets of it" Lucian pulled me to him "What was said Isabel?" in an even quiet but commanding tone he looked in directly in my eyes "O.k so what I could make out was Alpha blood, mate-bond, stronger, deeper, not involve Lucian or pack, lead, war, 18, taking wolfsbane and silver then Leila said If Lucian my mate, won't deny, keep up facade, help us, protect me" I saw a smile appear on Lucian's face, I knew what was going through his head "Jana replied with his pack in danger, forgive yourself if he dies or his sister" this time I heard a growl from both Lucas and Paul hearing about Lucian or me dying, I quickly looked at Lucian this time holding his hands "They both mentioned a name Aureus, Leila said when she turns 18 you are her choice but she'll still avenge her sisters' whether your with her or not" Lucian and the boys both looked shocked I stood and walked to the whiskey bottle this time pouring four glasses "I saw a photo of Leila and her parents with 5 other girls, Lucian they all looked like their parents" Lucian let out a sigh leaning back in his chair closing his eyes when Paul tapped his leg "What do you want to do Bro?" he asked knowing the answer, I gave each of them the glass and Lucian sat forward "She is my mate, your future Luna, we will protect her no matter what", he held up his glass, we all clinked our glasses together knowing that what ever trouble Leila was in we will stand with her. I went to go to my room but knocked on Lucians' door after he answered I walked in "I've sent you a video of Leila dancing, she sure as hell healed a lot from her tree mishap today but I also thought you would enjoy it also I'm picking Leila up Friday night and taking her out, We'll be at The Den around 10, before you try and be with her Lucian, you need to break up with Sophia first" I winked at him as I left, before the door closed I heard him shift and jump out his window.
