Alpha Axel’s pov

My name is Axel. I am the Alpha of Shadow pack, No one outside my pack knows that I am the Alpha for numerous personal reasons, We specialize in stealth to where we earned the name silent killer. We take on cases that involve murder, rape, etc. mainly ones that no one else wants to get involved in. Right now we have a case about an illegal fighting ring where wolves are being forced to kill one another in the ring, no one has been able to gather any intel on it but my pack and I have learned a few names of some Alpha's, one of the Alphas being Slade. We have been gathering evidence against Alpha Slade for some time now. It was rumored that he killed an entire pack just because he wanted to prove that he was not someone to be messed with. But that isn't the case. I think it was because of something else and the fact that no one can prove that he killed that pack. It's also been brought to my attention that he and a few other Alphas are doing illegal pit fights with omega wolves. Forcing them to fight against each other and placing bets on who will win, this sickened me when my beta showed me pictures of a wolf who had been put through the ring. He was able to escape and report it to Alpha Sebastian who had tried to contact me but I was out of reach so he had to contact my beta.

I was sitting at my desk when someone knocked on the door.

“Come in.”

“Alpha.”

“Beta Stevens.”

“ We have been informed that there will be another pit fight in three days in a remote town that just so happens to be near our territory.”

“ Go get Sam, Deren and Stella.”

He nodded, heading back out my door. We had planned to infiltrate their illegal fighting ring and take some pictures. We also needed to figure out who all was involved. After a few minutes my beta Stevens walked in with Sam my gamma, Deren my head warrior and Stella my delta in tow.

“We are going to need to get ready as we are moving out tomorrow to infiltrate Alpha Slade’s pit ring and I need you Stella to keep watch over pack duties while we are gone and if anyone asks you where we are just tell them we left for a new training exercise. Sam I need you to get the spy cams ready as we need to place them throughout the area to get it all on record. Stevens, Deren and I will go in wearing a disguise to place the cams.”

“Yes Alpha.” they all replied in unison. They bowed and left me in the office alone with my thoughts. I needed this operation to work out so I can finally take down Alpha Slade and all those who are involved.

It's the night of the fight and we have successfully entered the sitting area. While everyone was goofing off and not paying attention we hid the cameras and hurried to find a seat. I was sitting there looking down into the ring when a wolf wobbled into the arena. By the looks of it it’s a she-wolf, she wasn’t very stable on her own feet and she looked so thin and scared. I watched as she walked around trying to stabilize herself, after she made her second lap she was walking perfectly. I noticed that Alpha Slade was looking down at her and once she was able to walk without a problem he waved his hand at someone and the door opened again to show another wolf walking out. She made a low growl which is probably meant for the male wolf and they started to circle each other. I watched as people were taking bets on the two in the ring, the she-wolf was looking at the crowd when all of a sudden her eyes landed on me. We stared at each other for what seemed like minutes before a whistle blew and she hurried and looked at the other wolf. They started attacking each other viciously going back and forth trying to get the upper hand on one another, the she-wolf ended up getting ahold of the back of the other wolf’s neck and she started shaking her head whipping it back and forth cutting him pretty deep until he bit her leg making her leg go. The male wolf fell to the ground whimpering, the she-wolf looked down at him with what looked like sympathy.

The crowd started to go wild ranting that it's only over when one dies, I can't believe this was happening. She randomly started convulsing as if she was in pain herself, she was trying to scratch at her neck, she looked up when Alpha Slade called out Tala. He ordered her to kill the other wolf when she started to refuse to kill him. She started to howl in pain again. That's when I noticed that she had to have a collar which Alpha Slade had control over. She looked down at the other wolf with a look as if she was saying she was sorry and with that she ripped his throat out. I watched as she sat down and howled sorrowfully, she looked over to the door and I followed her gaze. Alpha Slade walked over to her and kicked her really hard, knocking her over. He threw open a cage door and pointed at it. I watched in horror as she crawled into the cage that was small, he locked her in and ordered his men to carry her out.

I hurried out the door and followed them to a car. She noticed me pretty quickly but for some reason she only just stared at me. As I watched her being carried like that I started to feel angry, her eyes were so lifeless like she has lost all hope in life and it made me feel like I needed to help her. I watched as they just threw her in the trunk without even caring if they hurt her or not. I can hear her whimpering as she sat in the dark trunk of the car. I watched as the men got into the car and pulled it up to the door for Alpha Slade to get in.

I stood there in shock until Stevens bumped my arm getting my attention. I looked over at him and his face read that he had seen what happened moments ago.

“We have enough evidence to take him down.”

“Good send it to the elders, gather our men we are going there and take out the packs Alpha.” I said gritting my teeth staring in the direction the car went.

Stevens nodded at me and pulled his phone out to call Stella.

It has been almost a week since we reported to the elders and they still haven’t given me the go ahead to tear Slade apart. I started to get annoyed and pissed off that they are trying to ignore what was going on. I get that it's probably because Slade is the Elder John’s son and they normally always do what John decides. After pacing around the room for the third time I had enough of it and I called Elder Simmon.

“Hello?”

“Simmon, it's Alpha Axel.”

“Oh yes Axel how may I help you?”

“You should know why I am calling.”

“Yes I suppose I do. I’m sorry Axel but they have decided to not do anything about Slade’s behavior as it seems that more than one Alpha is involved and they don’t want to start a war.”

“I dont give a damn about a war breaking out Simmon. I want this asshole's head on my desk! He killed my sister by putting her in that damn ring forcefully and yall say there wasn't any evidence and now that I have proved to you by the videos that there is another she-wolf being forced you sit back and dont do s**t!”

“I know you are upset, Axel but there isn't anything I can do. I also don’t like what is going on but my hands are tied.”

“Your hands may be tied but mine are not and I am declaring to you right now that war has been declared and if anyone wants to stop me then they can die along with Slade!” I screamed into the phone and hung up before he could even reply.
