An Attempted Explanation

=Natasha= I expected to be dead. Why wasn’t I dead? Maybe they were kidnapping me to sell me. The thoughts continued to circle my head like an ever rushing train. Last stop: crazy town.  Every time I tried to move my body told me to stay still. The ceiling wasn’t exactly bad to look at. THe exposed beams and hanging down lights were kind of charming. I twisted my head to look to either side of me. Both sides had windows but there were bars on them. I couldn’t see outside the glass had some kind of film over them keeping the world beyond a complete mystery.  After I worked up the courage I flung myself out of the bed. My feet hit the ground like sandbags that pricked with every step. This wasn’t exactly a large room, it was decorated rather nicely. The country setting reminded me of some catalog for french chique. The bed was way too big for just myself and took up most of the room. I guess this was some kind of staging area for whatever was to happen which judging by the lack of other things my mind could only fathom the worst.  “Oh god I’m going to be some s*x slave for these weird people.” Who knows where I actually was. I had no way of knowing how long I was unconscious, for all I knew I was a whole country away from my home.  Luckily this room came equipped with a bathroom, which seemed to have all the necessities. At least this weird cult wanted me to stay clean.  While I was getting used to my surroundings a knock at the door startled me. Enter stage left this gorgeous woman who I guess was to serve as my madame and guide me through this new world. She was middle aged, but still held a young presence to her eyes that sparkled when she looked at me.  “Hello darling.” That sweet voice threw me off guard. “Where am I?” I wanted to cut to the chase. There was no way i was going to let this happen without putting up a fight. “Don’t worry dear.” She crossed over the room making sure the door shut behind her. “I wouldn’t try leaving either.” correctly guessing I was about to bolt was clever, but obvious. Then again she didn’t lock the door behind her. I guessed there were guards and many people beyond that door who could stop me, and did I really want to get pummeled so quickly?  “I know you’re concerned with what’s happening.” “Concerned?” I laughed crossing my arms as I maintained my distance.  She felt no need to stay formal and took a seat on the bed, “My name is Ada. I’m here to try to ease you into what’s going to happen.” “Of course you are,” I rolled my eyes, “You can’t just force someone into this you know. I’ll fight you every step of the way.” “Oh sweetheart.” Her hand flew to her chest like i had just spoken the worst of swears to her, “Dear, we are not going to hurt you.” “Could have fooled me.” I gestured to the small room that was growing more cramped by the second. “Kidnapping me, putting me in this prison, and oh let’s not forget knocking me out-” “I understand you’re upset, but please. I need you to calm down and listen.” There was some tone in her voice that I just couldn’t place. She genuinely seemed to care about me and for some reason I really believed her. “You are safer here than anywhere else. I just need you to understand.” “You have five minutes.” I glared at her making sure she knew that even if she was gaining a small amount of favor, I was still going to hate everything happening right now. “Five minutes to explain to you the world you know isn’t so simple?” She shrugged and when a knock came at the door she hopped up craving it just wide enough to accept a tray of food and drinks. “Please sit down and I’ll explain as best as I can.” She lifted a plate to offer me some of the tea sandwiches but I shook my head refusing them. “I’ll eat when I’m free.” “Oh dear.” SHe sat the tray down on the bed and fixed her skirt, “My son will not be happy to hear about that.” “Your son can go f**k himself for all I care.” Why bring him up? Oh god, I was kidnapped to be a s*x slave for her son.  “You’ll feel differently later.” “Doubtful.” “Darling, what do you think about the supernatural?” Cutting right to the chase, but then again I guess I did give her five minutes three minutes ago.  “Like ghosts and stuff?” Then I recalled the last thing I heard, “Vampires?” Apparently it was their venom that knocked me out before. “Vampire,” she agreed, “witches, werewolves.” She stared at me when she said werewolves. I couldn’t help but laugh, “Werewolves? Yeah right.” “One of my darling boys watched over you for a night after you were discovered. Theobald. He is such a nice boy.” “What does that have to do with werewolves?” I frowned waiting for her to explain further. “Can I show you?” I nodded and she knocked three times on the door opening it. “Theobald, we need him here for a moment.” “Theo?” The young girly voice to answer echoed down the hall. So I was in a building, Good to know my room was not accessible to the outside world immediately.  Ada stepped back allowing a familiar dog to enter the room.  “Holy s**t you’ve been stalking me this whole time?” My hands shot up to my mouth and before I could see what happened next I ducked into the bathroom slamming the door behind me. There wasn’t a lock but I propped myself up against the door hoping I was strong enough to hold back whatever assault they could manage.  “Oh dear.” Ada’s voice was muffled behind the door, “Looks like Alaric is going to need to talk to her.” “I’ll get him.” That voice of parking lot jerk was now audible. Great, this is going to be a nightmare. =Alaric= “Dear, we need you sooner than I thought.” My mother walked into my bedroom as I tried to get a few minutes of sleep in vain.  “Is she okay?” I knew something was wrong, she was terrified, I was terrified for her, there was so much going on here that I was completely uncomfortable with, and yet it was now my job to usher her into this new life.  “She’ll be fine, she’s just a little stunned. She’s shut herself in the bathroom.”  I jumped up feeling a headrush and fatigue from my lack of sleep. My mother led me to the room and opened it allowing me to enter. “Just be yourself.” Be myself, I scoffed. She was going to hate me no matter how I acted now. The door closed and I shrunk to the floor tapping on the bathroom door. “Natasha?” There was no answer. “Natasha, can you let me explain?” =Natasha= Explain? The f**k was this terror of a person expecting me to say? “Is it okay if I try to explain it to you?” “Explain how this entire organization was stalking me? Explain what? Explain how you’re going to torture me? Explain how you’re going to keep me locked up here?” “I would never hurt you.” “You're doing a bang up job right now.” “I know, I’m sorry it had to be this way.” “HAD to be this way?” I scoffed, banging my fist on the door hoping his head was leaning against it. “My mother said she tried to tell you about the werewolves. Can you please just open the door just a crack I’ll show you.” What could he possibly show me? Then again he hadn’t tried to break the door down yet, “Will you let me stay in here?” “I promise you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to.”  Strong words coming from the group who kidnapped me, but still I needed to get somewhere and the longer I was trapped in here the longer I was trapped in this room. The least I could do is fake interest just so I could gain their trust. “Okay,” I whispered, “I’m opening the door, but you’re not allowed to touch me or enter this bathroom.” There was no response so I opened the door to a large black dog’s nose. “Oh for f**k’s sake.” I shut it quickly making sure the dog didn’t have time to jump me. “Get the dog out of here.” I yelled, knowing that the odds were insanely stacked against me with that kind of beast involved.  “It’s not a dog.” the voice echoed back. “Please open up again and just watch.” What on earth was happening? Against my better judgement I cracked the door again and this time the face of the birthday boy was staring back. The small crack allowed me to see enough to know he was naked.  “I’m shutting the door again.” He should have expected this. “Can you just watch?”  I nod and wait. The face of the boy shifted quickly with a burst of black fur the large dog appeared in his place.  “Yeah this door is staying closed.” I was drugged, this was the only explanation. They drugged me and now I’m seeing things.  There was a scratch at the door and while I didn’t want to get mauled by a giant werewolf I still needed to work on getting out of here. I opened the door again this time wide enough to allow my full head through the door.  The beast staring back at me sat down tilting his massive head to the side.  “What are you expecting me to say?” Honestly, he just turned into a f*****g large black dog. What could I say? I saw it crack a smile and then bowed his head inching closer to me.  “No!” I shouted, turning my hands up at the thing. The proper distance he originated at was perfectly fine with me for right now. He backed away quickly wining. The wine touched my heart causing me to drop my guard down on the door allowing it to swing open further, “No no, I just kind of need to get used to this. I mean you just turned into a black dog and I’m not really sure how to take that.” He nodded and inched backward further. With his mouth he grabbed the blanket off the bed wrapping it around himself before he emerged again as a human.  “That’s not really better.” I grumbled. “Sorry, sorry.” He stuttered. “I’m completely exhausted right now and I’m not thinking straight.” “Yeah well I’m completely a prisoner and I can’t fully process werewolves right now.” I couldn’t give two shits to the fact he was exhausted.  “So let’s start at the beginning then?” He cracked a half smile making sure the blanket covered himself fully as he stood up taking a seat on the bed.
