The Reason I was Kidnapped... I guess

=Natasha= “So you and your family are werewolves?” saying it outloud still sounded like a fairytale.  “Yes.” He smiled. I could tell he was finding it hard to concentrate. His eyes continued to droop as he sat getting comfy on the bed. “You’re kind of a big deal to our pack.” “Big deal how?”  “Doesn’t matter right now. Just know that there are a lot of people who would love to get their hands on you.” “Right, so am I a werewolf?” I mean I never turned into a wolf, but they were thinking I was an important part of their pack, so logically that must have meant I was a werewolf. “No,” he smiled, laying down in bed, “You’re not a werewolf.” He perked back up with the next thought that came into his mind, “Unless you want to be. I can definitely help with that.” “No no!” I shouted, throwing up my arms, “That’s okay.” I watched again as he settled down making himself at home in what was supposed to be my bed. “Are you planning on sleeping here?” He twisted his head so he was able to see me clearly, “Don’t take it the wrong way, but I kind of need to.” “Yeah I’m taking that the wrong way.” I stood up crossing my arms but remaining in the bathroom, “Where am I going to sleep?” He turned his head to the other side of the bed, “You seemed comfortable in there, but there’s plenty of room.” “Again,” he gasped, “No thanks.” He seemed to be way too comfortable around me, “how could you just drop the werewolf bombshell and then go to sleep? Who do you think you are?” He grumbled sitting back up, “My name’s Alaric, I’m alpha in training and I haven’t slept in three nights. Could we please have this conversation in the morning?” “Sleep in your own room!” I shouted picking up a bottle of shampoo hurtling it through the air missing him completely.  “I would.” He growled, “but I have a slight problem.” “I don’t care!” I screamed, “You’re not staying here!” He was naked, he was a werewolf, and he was my captor.  He shrugged and laid back down, “Good luck moving me.” The snoring started far too quickly for my liking.  “How can you sleep right now?” I shouted, throwing a towel at him.  “Because I know you’re safe.” Safe? What the f**k was this asshole going on about? “I’m not safe you ignorant swine!” He smiled, flashing his teeth, “You’re perfectly safe. If you let me sleep for just fifteen minutes I’ll let you go outside.” Wow, gaining trust didn’t seem to be something I’d find challenging at all. “Sleep away Alaric.” I beamed, but was a little irritated. I couldn’t guess when fifteen minutes had passed.  He smiled again and that’s when I realized I wasn’t as scared of him as I should have been.  While he slept I creeped out to get a better look. He was sound asleep. His nappy hair was a stark contrast to the birthday boy I met a few nights ago. Something was troubling him, I wish I knew more to help him, but then again I didn’t want to get overly attached to this situation.  He was kind of cute, I just wished he hadn’t kidnapped me, or had me kidnapped. Whatever his role was I just wished it hadn’t happened. His skin was tanned slightly, had to be from sun exposure not genetics. Ada was pale compared to him and apparently was his mother. She seemed a little young to have this old of a son, but then again who knew how differently werewolves aged.  It alarmed me that I was able to just grasp werewolves being a thing. This guy in front of me turning into that massive black wolf should have scared me a lot more than it did. Maybe it was the fact I was kidnapped and off in some far unknown place that allowed me to just accept the wolf thing?  I got closer to his face looking at him closely. He had hints of freckles covering his nose and cheeks. Such a cute little thing about him that I never would have noticed. Then he smiled at me flashing a small hint of his canines.  “You son of a b***h you’re awake?” I stepped back getting closer to the bathroom. “Don’t refer to my mother that way.” He raised up with a slightly brighter pep, “You kind of woke me up. It’s fine.”  “Go back to sleep!” At least asleep he wasn’t a threat.  “I’ll rest my eyes.” He laid back down still facing me, “You’re still curious about everything?” I nodded scratching my arm shyly, “I just have a lot of questions,” “Ask away,” He yawned, “Just don’t get surprised if I fall back asleep.” “Fair enough,” smiling I watched him close his eyes heavily and struggling to open them again, “So, can you tell me the real reason I’m here?” “People will be after you.” “People?” “Werewolves” “Why?” “Because if they have you.” he started and drifted slightly, “if they have you we will have to get you back from them. You’re important to me.” “You?” That’s right his mother said something about that earlier. “I meant the pack.” He corrected yawning again, “You’re important to the pack.” “That you’re the alpha of?” I rolled my eyes, getting comfy on the floor. I noticed a pile of what I assumed were his clothes along with a wrist watch among the pile. Picking it up I was so happy it was digital. Apparently it was five in the afternoon a day after I was abducted. People were going to start to worry about me.  “I’m alpha in training.” he finally spoke after a long silence, “My father’s still alpha.” “Okay, in training. What does that mean?” “It means that until I have something to complete me I’m not allowed to run the pack.” “What?” He was speaking nonsense. I could only guess piecing together what he meant. “I’ll let you know later.” “Okay, why am I important to the pack?” Maybe his tiredness would allow him to spill secrets.  “Because you’re special.” “Special how?” He opened his eyes slightly judging me from a distance, “If I tell you, you’re going to hate me.” “I already hate you.” I shrugged still playing with his watch, “Anything you say would just reaffirm it.” “You’ll learn about it eventually.” “Okay, so your mom said it would all make sense later, and now you’re saying the same thing. I think I’ve earned a bit of a right to you know, be in the know about why I’m kidnapped and locked away in this small room with a werewolf sleeping in my bed.” He turned over grumbling, “Can you just ask me yes or no questions?” “I could, but I could also make it very difficult for you to sleep peacefully.” I had plenty of things I could throw at him. While I wasn’t that great at aiming I was sure to be better at physical violence.  Growling again he turned over, “If I turn into a wolf would that get you to shut up and leave me alone for like an hour?”  “What the hell is wrong with you?” He stirred, flinging himself up as the cover fell to expose his chest. He was muscular in all the right ways with a glisten to his pecks that begged me to touch him. Then his anger stirred, that same anger that I saw when he pounded his fist on the bar the first night he drew my attention. “You’re life is a f*****g tragedy and ever since I met you I can’t sleep. You keep me awake with your constant troubles. Every minute you exist you are sad, you are alone, you work, you go to school, you go home. Your co-workers call you a nickname you hate. Your father stopped helping you pay for college because his new wife thinks he should spend money on their family not you. Your mother ran away when you were little and you blame yourself every night before you go to sleep. Every moment you breathe and I can’t help you is another moment I can’t sleep. I’m constantly worried about you, I want to make you happy, but I also need to keep you safe from the other packs. You need to understand that you are in no danger here but all you can think about is when you’ll get the chance to escape.” He turned to me, his eyes glaring like daggers. “Is that enough for you?” “How do you know so much about me?” Everything he said was so on point. He spoke about my deepest thoughts, about things that I never tell anyone else.  “Because.” He huffed, “You’re important to me.” I thought that would have been the last of it, but thankfully he continued, “Everything about you from the smell to the way you want what's best for others. You’re perfect. You’re the lunar goddess I need in my life. You make me whole, and when you’re able to see things from my perspective you’ll finally be able to understand how I feel.” “So you kidnapped me because you want to be with me?” He wanted us to be together. I was supposed to complete him? “No.” I shook my head standing up. “I’m locking myself in the bathroom. Once you agree to let me go I’ll be out.” If he thinks I’m going to be with him or fall for him just because he thinks I’m meant to be with him he’s got another thing coming.
