6. Training Ground

Werloth POV: “I want to take you on a tour around the castle and the Osyntheas, our main city in the Elven Realm, and then we can have some lunch together, if that's OK with you or do you think you'd be spending too much time with me?” I asked her, chuckling and she did the same but her eyes were glowing. “Of course not. I want to spend as much time as I can with you.” She replied, blushing. She was making me feel things that it was getting hard to deal with. I wanted to throw her on my bed and spend the whole day and night making love to her, cherishing her and tasting every inch of her intoxicated body. When our moment comes, I want it to be perfect for her as much as it will be for me just by having her with me. “Good. Because I don’t feel like letting you go anywhere far from me anymore.” I told her honestly and, to my utter surprise, she smiled at me, wrapped her arms around me, hugging me tight and I did the same and I kissed her forehead, it was the best thing I’ve ever felt. “Werloth…I…I don’t want you to let me go either”. She whispered. It seemed that things were just getting better. I cupped her face and looked intently at her eyes and I leaned myself to lay my head on the crook of her neck and I took a lungful of her wild rose and jasmine scent. The sparks throughout our bodies were becoming fire and I slightly kissed her marking spot, I felt her body quivering and she was panting over the sensation of having me so next to her marking spot. She was melting in my arms and I never thought I would be having such a mesmerizing moment with her. Actually, every moment was graceful and mesmerizing by her side and I couldn’t help but smile to see how her body reacted to my touch. I leaned back or else I would have her carried over my shoulder to my room. I held her hand again and we made our way outside. If only she knew the dirty thoughts I was having about her after we met, I could barely recognize myself anymore. I shook these thoughts off. I held her hand and I took her on a tour inside the castle and she was paying attention to everything, staring at it all in awe. My castle was near a waterfall and there were a lot of beautiful buildings around and we also could walk through it from inside. There was a footbridge linking each building to another. I took her to each one of them. We flashed most of the time or it would be impossible to walk around the whole place in one day. All the place was surrounded by a beautiful meadow and she looked like she was in a trance but in a good way. “Goddess, I’m sure there isn’t any place as stunning as here.” She started to run in the meadow and between the flowers and she was spinning around in awe, admiring everything and I was admiring her every sweet move. “Wait, last night I got lost in the hall looking for my room and before we met, there was a beautiful hall. I think it was the way out of one of the footbridges. I heard a watery stream and I was about to check it when we met. Could we go there too?” she asked me. “Of course, we will go there later. Actually, it’s one of my private parts, nobody reaches there but me. I’ll be honored to show you, I’m sure you’ll like it”. I told her. . Angeline POV: When he told me that he had a stream in his private part of the castle, I got a little anxious. We kept walking around, the place was enormous and I think I couldn’t see it all in a day. “This place is awesome, Angel”, Delphyne said. I agreed with her. “Oh! You don’t have to take me there today if you don’t want to. We can go some other day.” I told him. I also didn’t want him to take me anywhere just because I asked him to. “No. I would take you there today after our date anyway.” he told me reassuringly, and I blushed. “I really love it here. It’s so beautiful and peaceful. What’s that?” I asked him, staring at a huge, really huge building. It had a lot of windows and it had a circled shape. He smiled. “That’s our fighting and training arena. That’s where I’ll teach you archery.” He said, holding my hand to take me there. Delphyne was almost howling like Hope, my mom’s wolf. I chuckled. We made our way in and there were some elves sparring and training with swords, also there were some kids testing their element’s manipulation. I smiled. It was all like a dream. When we walked on further, everybody stopped and stared at us. They smiled and bowed down. Werloth might be a great King because there was only respect and admiration in their eyes. “I’d like to introduce you all my mate; Angeline Venctury. Please, don’t mind us, we’re just passing through.” Werloth introduced me. “Queen Angeline.” They bowed down and I blushed even more. I gave them all a friendly smile and they continued training. We made our way to the kids. There were about five of them. I love kids. They’re all about purity and innocence. Except when it was Bella, my younger sister. “You should have learnt a thing or two with her books as well, Angel”, Delphyne teased me and I blushed. “You’re being nothing but a horny golden dragon”, I teased back at her. “Look at this elf, how could I not be horny?” she asked, and I glared at Werloth. He was really handsome indeed. He was strong, manly and he managed to be seductive without even intending to be. My veins were becoming molten lava and I quickly shook these thoughts off and I put Delphyne at the back of my mind. “King Werloth, Queen Angeline.” The kids said, greeting us with an ear-to-ear smile. I knelt down to be in their size and a blonde, bright milky-skinned boy got my attention. “Hello, may I ask you your name?” I asked them, staring at the blondie to speak first. “I’m Dain. The one beside me is Estelar, Jassin and, on my other side, Alais and Selene” he said. He was so adorable and I felt a connection with him right away. “It’s lovely to meet you. I’m Angeline Venctury and I’m a dragon-hybrid. Have you ever seen one before?” Kids always love new stuff and I noticed Werloth kneeling down beside me staring at Dain. Afterwards, he was looking at me with his eyes opened wide in surprise. Actually, I didn’t tell him about my dragon, Delphyne, and ever since I’m a hybrid, there was no way he’d know. Hybrids smell different from any other species, especially dragon hybrids. “You have to tell him about me, but I forgive you even since it’s only been a day since we recognized each other”, Delphyne said. “Yay, really? I’ve never seen a dragon, that is so nice”, the little Dain gushed. “Wow, we have the best Queen ever.” “I’ve always wanted to be a dragon, they’re so nice and strong and they can fly.” “I’ve always wanted to fly.” “Queen Angeline, will we ever see your dragon?” The kids were all gathered around me and I chuckled, I could spend my whole day here with them. “Kids love me. What can I say? I would love to get to know all of them, especially Dain”, Delphyne reassured me. “They’re so adorable” I told her back. “Actually, I have an idea. How about we pick a day so you can ride her and fly around the Elven Realm? She is telling me that she would love to spend time with you.” I asked them and their eyes were glowing in joy. “But before, we have to ask for permission from our King. How about that?” I coaxed them. They gathered around Werloth this time. “Please, Sir. We officially plead for your permission to Queen Angeline to shift herself to a dragon so we can ride her, Sir.” They said seriously. Even though it was in a very cute way and they were all lined up, they kept their composure. Discipline has been taken very seriously here since a very early age. “And you were late last night.” Delphyne mocked me, and I thanked the Goddess they couldn’t listen to her. Werloth stood up and walked around them, circling them. He was staring at the kids’ straight position seriously and then, he was in front of them again. “Permission granted, how about in a couple of weeks?” Werloth said, finally smiling, and the kids were laughing and hopping around. “Our Elf is acting so cute right now” Delphyne said. “He is”, I agreed with her. “Thank you, King Werloth.” “Our King is also the best ever” They said and I couldn’t hold back my smile. “Look what I can do, Queen Angeline”. Estelar called me. She had a pot of earth and the pot started to slightly tremble and a beautiful flower was growing out of it. I stared at it in awe. “Look at me, Queen Angeline", Selene said, waving her hands, and there was some water levitating in the direction of the pot of earth. “Oh! Now me, now me.” Alais said and made the pot levitate. “My turn”. Jassin said. He had both of his hands in the direction of the pot and made some vines come out of it. “Wow, you’re all very talented.” I told them honestly. Werloth was smiling. An Elf called out to him and he made his way to the Elf. “That’s nothing. Look what I can do”. Dain said. He glanced at the fire torches that were standing around the training ground. He picked one and he was manipulating it. It was incredible. I knew how rare it was for an elf to have the ability to manipulate fire. He was hopping and spinning around until he lost his balance, stumbled and fell down. I heard the elves screaming in shock as the fire ran into the direction of the other kids that were gathered. I panicked and I directed my hand to the fire and I lured it over my fingers and the fire entered me and disappeared. “Are you OK, kids? Dain?” I asked them, concerned. “Yes, all thanks to you, Queen Angeline”, they said. “I’m sorry, Queen Angeline. I just wanted to show you that I’m good”, Dain said, looking down. I knelt down and my hands cupped his face. “Don’t worry. I’m just like you. I know there are not many Elves that can manipulate fire, we just have to be very careful and keep focused, keep training and you will be able to manipulate it even if you get distracted.” I told him, smiling and patting his head. I held his hand and we made our way back to the torch. I opened my hand and the fire I had lured into my fingers was now beautifully controlled in my hand. “Now, can you place the fire back on the torch?” I asked Dain. “Really? You’re not mad at me?” Dain asked me. “Of course not, I want to help you, sweety.” I said, smiling at him. He waved his hand and the fire made its way to the torch again. We turned to go back to the other kids and I saw everybody’s gazes staring at me. I froze in my spot. What happened? All of a sudden, they all clapped and cheered. I didn’t know what happened but I felt relieved, I thought I had done something bad. I made my way to the other kids holding Dain’s hand and Werloth approached me. “You’re amazing. You gave them all a great impression” he said, smiling at me. “I don’t understand. What did I do?” I asked him. I really didn’t know what was happening. “Normal elves don’t have the power to create fire, and rarely manipulate it. Especially lure it into your body and draw out like you did. Besides, the way you treated Dain by encouraging him was also very impressive. You’re amazing, Angel.” Werloth said, smiling at me. I smiled back, but there wasn’t a big deal at all. “Well, I’m a dragon, so my blood is molten lava already”, I chuckled. “And it wasn’t a big deal to encourage someone. Especially a kid, that’s how I was raised”, I continued. “It’s a beautiful deal, actually.” Werloth said, smiling, “About your dragon, I want to meet her”, he continued saying. “You can talk to her now if you like.” I told him. Delphyne had the power to communicate through telepathy and he looked very excited about doing that. “I would love it.” He said, excited. “ OK, care for what you say, girl.” I told Delphyne before I glared at Werloth's gorgeous gaze and I could feel the warmness in my head making the connection. “Hi mate, my name is Delphyne. I’m Angeline’s dragon. We can’t talk in our dragon form so I’m so happy to be talking to you now.” Delphyne told him through his mind. “Hello Delphyne. I’m sure that you’re as beautiful and as strong as Angeline is, it was very lovely to meet you both” Werloth said back at her. “Angeline is really strong. She’s the one who trained our sisters Andrea and Bella. There’s something else I want to tell you. About Melian, don’t trust her.” Delphyne said, and I cut the connection. That dragon was really outside her limits. We can’t just say it like that about anyone without having evidence of it. Especially if this someone spent over 2 decades living in the same ceiling as Werloth, I was uneased.
