Jay's POV:
It turned out our mom wasn't joking. She hired a babysitter for us. That means my plan will go into action. The woman has passed her forties. She won't know how to deal with us. The thing is that I don't know what to start with. I have so many options. My brothers and I keep talking about this. They have prepared some things as well. I can smell the tears in her eyes when she quits. As I have said, no female will tell me what to do. I do this to them. We sneaked out of the house and went to a party. It was great. As usual, we got the attention for ourselves. That is how I like it. Now, I should think about what to do with the old lady. She looks like the age of our mom. That doesn't mean we can't make her do whatever we want. Since she came here, it means she needs a job. Sadly, it won't be this one. I don't care how much our mom pays her. We are old enough to take care of ourselves. Well, our way. No matter what happens, we always have each other's backs. I hope our mom will open her eyes.
Three months are left until the first year of university will finish. The babysitter stays at home until our parents come home from work. Toby, Blane, and I have planned everything for today. It'll be her last day. The attitude will be put into action. We are in class, but this won't stop us from getting our ideas. That will be fun to watch. Hopefully, she won't scream too much. Some people do it when they are too mad. It's not like I care. She is not welcome at home.
- You know what we have to do. - I said
- You told us this ten thousand times. - Toby said
- I can't stand this woman. She is worse than our mom. I never thought this was possible.
- Don't worry. I have some tricks in my sleeve. - Blane said
- I hope they are good. The plan should work.
- We need to go out tonight. I know where the girls will be. - Toby said
- Which girls?
- It's not specific.
- How will we do it? We are still grounded. That's why we have a babysitter.
- Don't worry about this. I always get what I want. - I said
- Our leader will save the day.
- You voted for me.
- Because none of us is capable of doing it.
- I appreciate it. Let's play with the babysitter.
- She has no idea what is coming for her.
After this class, we went home. Miranda was already there. My parents let her in. They didn't give her a key. This will be so much fun. I can't wait to see the look on her face. It's time to be ourselves. I went for a shower. When I came out, I didn't put a shirt on. I walked downstairs and left my towel on the kitchen table. My brothers followed up.
- Excuse me. You can't leave your stuff everywhere.
- Of course, we can. This is our house.
- We need some rules here. You will clean up after yourselves. - she said, and we laughed
- No chance. That's why you are here.
- I'm a babysitter, not a maid.
- Said who?
- Me! I said it! You will listen to me.
- That happened way too quickly than we expected.
- Go and get dressed up. Lunch is ready.
- I'm hot. I'll stay like this. - Toby said
- You won't be n***d on the table.
- Do you want to see me n***d? I can show you a few tricks privately.
- What is wrong with the three of you?
- Nothing. This is who we are.
- Bedrooms. Now!
While we were out, she put the food on the table. Blane sneaked while she wasn't looking and put hot sauce in her bowl. We sat at the table before her to make sure she would eat from that bowl. Some things never get old. She started wondering what had happened and went for milk. Toby took it away and hid it in one of the cabins.
- Don't you have milk?
- We used to, but it probably ended. You can go and get some. - I said
- I'll drink water.
- She will be gone soon.
- How is your food not spicy?
- It is, but we are used to it. - Blane said
- I'm sure I didn't put anything spicy. I can't eat such food.
- Maybe you weren't looking carefully.
- Go to your room.
- Alright.
- Separately. While you are grounded, you won't stay together.
- What? That won't happen.
- It's an order.
- An old lady won't tell me what to do. Understood?
- Did you call me old?
- Your husband is probably triple your age.
- Room!
- No! I'll go to Toby's room.
- I said something!
- I can't hear you. We are going to play video games.
- You are grounded!
- No, you are. If you don't want to lose your job, do as we say.
- You will do it.
- Great.
I'm trying not to laugh, but it's getting harder. My brothers and I pulled a few tricks for her. I can tell she is getting annoyed. That is the plan. We stayed and watched her for two hours. Later, we went to play video games. She can't separate us, no matter what she tries. The triplets always stay together.
- Do you think she will go away? - I asked
- She better do it. - Toby said
- I can't stand her. She thinks that she can control us. - Blane said
- Don't worry. My plan will work. When have I failed you? - I said
- Never. That's why we trust you.
- Our parents will come home soon. It's time for one last trick.
- Oh no. The best is for last.
- Exactly.
- I'm getting excited. Can I do it? I would love to see her crying. - Toby said
- The honor is all yours. Let's make her go away.
- She will never want to be a babysitter again.
We saw the babysitter making coffee. Who drinks that late? Anyways. It's time for a jump scare. Blane and I called her. Toby put next to her cup a pack of sweetener. Little does she know there is hot sauce inside. We let her go and finish her drink. As we expected, she used the pack. Why is it so easy? Her reaction was priceless.
- Well? Did you receive the message? - I asked her
- You have no idea who you are messing with.
- Oh, I think I do. You don't know us. This will be every single day. Nonstop.
- Are you threatening me?
- No, of course, not. It's a casual conversation.
- You are devilish kids. Start acting like adults!
- You can't tell us what to do. Let me tell you something. You are not good at this job.
- Wait until your parents come home.
- So what? You can't do anything. Nothing will stop us. Even you.
That is when our parents came home. There is no way she will stay with us. This woman will be gone. I can sense it. Mom looked at us and then at her. Do you smell it? The old lady will go home and will never come back. Mom's mood changed. We warned her a few times about the babysitter thing. She didn't want to listen.
- Miranda, what is going on?
- These kids are monsters. I can't stay here anymore. I have morals.
- Oh, please. I'll pay you double.
- Even if you give me your whole salary, I won't stay here. I quit!
- But why? How bad was it?
- They don't have any morals or respect for older people. I almost feel sorry for you for being a mother to them.
- Please, don't quit.
- Oh, I will. I'm going out. Keep the money for yourself. - she said and left
- Bye. - I said, and we laughed
- Do you think it's funny?
- Yes.
- In your rooms. Now!
My plans never fail. Boys one, babysitter zero. We stayed in my room until we got called for dinner. I don't know what will happen. I bet our mom will be furious. Well, we warned her. She was the one not listening to us. I can't do anything else. We sat down and started eating. She kept looking at us.
- What? - I asked
- Nothing. Your new babysitter will come tomorrow.
- What!? No way!
- Mom, you can't do this to us. - Blane said
- Oh, I can.
- Ok, then. We'll get rid of her as well. - I said
- Excuse me?
- It doesn't matter who you hire. I'll do everything possible to make her go away.
- Do you want to be grounded?
- I'm already grounded. Having a babysitter means the same.
- Trust me. You won't be able to get rid of her. She has strong nerves.
- Perfect. I know the weapon against her. She will be gone in an hour.
- What? What will you do?
- I can't tell you.
- You better don't do anything. Otherwise, the three of you will get in trouble.
- Why don't you want to listen to us? - our dad asked
- Why should we do it?
Nothing. We left it there. My brothers and I went to play video games in Toby's room. A new babysitter means a new plan. I already have something in mind. It'll be better than the last time. This woman won't have a clue where it hit her from. I'll make sure of this. I won't let her take control of me. I'm the boss here. We played for two hours. I better get ready for the next day. I should plan everything until the last detail. There is no room for mistakes.
- Do you think she will hire someone new? - Toby asked
- I'm afraid, yes. Don't worry. My brain is working.
- Every time you say this, you are getting me excited.
- Here is the plan. Every person with strong nerves has a weak spot. We'll find hers and use it against her.
- Why do you think it's a woman? - Blane asked
- Our mom believes that only a woman can put us in the right place.
- True. How will we do this? We don't know her well.
- That's why we have to figure her out. I'll ask her tons of questions. She'll give in without even knowing it.
- Interesting. I hope it works. - Toby said
- It will. I never fail. Never.
- Except in high school.
- Shut up! Otherwise, I'll let you deal with her.
- No, no. You can get rid of her.
- What if she hires another one after her? - Blane asked
- I'll do the same thing. We won't have a babysitter. Mark my words.
- I want to trust you, but I feel bad about this.
- Relax. Nothing will happen. We'll rule the world as we always do.
- Buddy, you should chill. There is a reason why he is the leader.
- I trust him, but not our mom.
- Let me deal with her.
We kept talking and inventing plans. I have many tricks on my sleeve. No one tells me what to do. If I didn't make it clear already, I'll do it now. It doesn't matter how many babysitters we have. None of them will stay with us for long. I pick my victims carefully. After all, no one should get hurt. It's only a game. Well, for us. Some people take this too personally. I mean, girls. They still believe that we'll do whatever they want. It's the opposite. They will do things for us. Here is rule number four. We play, don't date. I know why I created this. I hope that the next babysitter will go away soon.
