Chapter seventeen - Stop stalking me

2093 Words
Kally's POV: Kian can't stop sending me friend requests from different profiles. I don't know how many I have to block. The only thing that came to my mind was to delete my profile. I can't do that. I have so many things in there. I can save the photos, but it's not only that. If he doesn't stop doing it, I'll delete it. That might be the sign that I have to start from the beginning. I have no idea what I will do, but it doesn't matter. My online friends will be a few people. Also, I might change my name. I never had a picture of myself as my profile one. He won't find out. All the information about me will be fake. If this doesn't work, I have no idea what else will. He is unpredictable. I preferred it when he ghosted me. That was easier for me. I didn't have to deal with him. Maybe he will leave me alone if I agree to talk with him. I don't know if that will work, but I don't have a choice. He won't stop until he gets what he wants. That is from personal experience. I hope that it will be only a conversation. It's the weekend. I have a free day. I talked with Addie yesterday about Kian. She told me to go, but to be careful. None of us knows what he can do. I prefer it that way. The boys wanted to be with me, but I won't mess them up with this. It's enough that they are helping me at their house. I don't need anything else from them. I texted Addie to come home. I promised Kian only an hour. Also, I chose the place. It better be a public one in case something goes wrong. I can't trust him anymore. - Don't worry. I'll be with you. Nothing will happen. - You can't come with me. - Why not? - Addie, he knows you. I'll tell you everything after the meeting. I promise. - I can't let you go there alone. What about the boys? - I told you. They can't mess with this. - Did you even tell them? - No, I didn't. Otherwise, they will do something. Mostly, Jay. - Why does he care so much about this? - I have no clue. Can we not talk about this? I have other things on my mind. - Alright. Make sure there are people around you all the time. Don't let him get too close. Keep your phone with you. If something happens, call me. I'll come to rescue you. - There won't be a need for that, but thanks. - You never know. I don't trust him. - It's not like I do. I mean, not after everything he did. - Look who decided to open their eyes. - Very funny. Addie and I kept talking until it was time for me to leave. I chose a busy coffee shop. If something happens, someone will help me. Well, that is what I hope for. When I arrived, he was already there waiting for me. I ordered a coffee and sat down in front of him. It's weird being here. I have a bad feeling about this. I don't know what he wants from me. - Hey. - You came. - I told you I would. You have an hour. What do you want from me? - To talk. - I get that. For what? - I'm sorry for what I did. Can you give me another chance? - What? Are you serious? - Yes, I am. Please. I won't do the same thing. I promise. - I don't know. Too many things happened. - Don't you love me anymore? - No. I forced myself to think I did. It never worked, and it never will. You have to accept it. - Is there someone else? - What? - Do you have a boyfriend? - No, I don't. What does this have to do with the meeting? - Is he making you reject me? - Who is he? I'm single. I don't want to date anyone yet. - So there is someone. - No! Don't you listen to me? I don't want to go out with anyone because of you. What you did was enough for me. - I won't hurt you. - How can I be sure about this? - I'm sorry. - Me too. - Is this a yes? - No. I can't do that. Try to understand me. - You have to do it! - he said and grabbed my hand - Kian, let me go. - You are the one. Don't you see it? - I'm not the one. You deserve someone who will love you the way you are. I can't do that. - Whatever. I hope he dies before you get married. - What are you talking about? Stop talking about things that are not true. - They are. - How did you get my phone number? Are you stalking me? - Your best friend needs to take better care of her phone. - You stole it? - There was no need for that. Kian took Addie's phone while she wasn't looking and took a picture of my phone number. At least I know he didn't follow me. I don't know what to do with him. He won't leave me in peace. I texted Addie to tell her that I finished my conversation with him. She agreed to meet me for lunch. We went to a small diner. - I want you to tell me everything. - He took my phone number from you. - What? I didn't give it to him. I swear. - I know. Have you talked with someone recently? Maybe in a coffee shop? - I think so. Why? - He took your phone while it was unlocked and took a picture of my phone number. - What? That brat. I knew it! One girl seemed very interested in me. - Now we know. - I'm so sorry. I had no idea it was a trap. - Hey, it's ok. I'm not mad at you. - What will you do now? - I have no clue. Nothing comes to my head. - Do you want me to kick his a*s? - she asked, and I laughed - No, thanks. I can deal with this alone. - Will you change it again? - No. My best friend has plans for the afternoon. She invited me to go with her, but I denied it. I'm not in the mood for that. I decided to walk around the town. I went to the mall for a drink when it became too hot. I went to the last floor to drink it. Also, I got an ice cream cone. That will be my dessert. Soon, I got company. This time, I'm happy to see him. - I thought you were grounded. - I still am. My parents are over there. - Jay said - So they know you are here. - Nope. They were too busy to check what I was doing. - Cool. - Are you ok? Did something happen? - No, no. Everything is fine. - You can't lie. - I know. I have heard this before. - Well? - I went to see him. - What? Why didn't you tell me? - Because you have nothing to do with that. It's between me and him. - Did he do something to you? - No, you can relax. - Kally, don't lie to me. - I'm not. He didn't do anything. I chose a public place. - What if he texts you again? - He can't. I blocked him. - Good. What will you do now? - I don't know. I'm afraid that he might be stalking me. - Will you tell me what he wanted from you? - He wanted what he lost. That means me. - What? You won't go there, will you? - No way. I'm not making the same mistake twice. - Good. He doesn't deserve you. - Thanks. Won't your parents notice that you are gone? - I don't care. - What happened? - Nothing. I told my mom some things. She might be mad at me or regret something. I don't know. - No talking. - I was honest with her. What she does next is not my problem. - Do you want help with her? - Thanks, but I'll deal with this alone. - Good luck. I'm sure you can do this. - Do you want us to walk around? - What about your parents? - My brothers will cover for me. - If it doesn't get you in trouble, I don't mind. - Great. Jay seemed offended that I didn't tell him about Kian. That has nothing to do with him. We walked around the mall for some time. I guess he will sneak back into his house. That thing with the stairs is a good idea. I'm sure his parents know about this. You have to be blind not to see it. I'm surprised they haven't removed it. - Is there anything you want to do during the summer? - Jay asked - Not really. I don't have plans. - You can convince my mom that we are good guys and stop working. - I can do that, but you probably won't see me again. - Forget what I said. - he said, and I laughed - I might do that. I can rest for the rest of the summer. - No! Please. - Do you want to keep me? - What? No. - I don't think so. - Maybe it's better if I go home. - Relax. I'm not going anywhere. - It's good to know. - Why do you care so much? - A military school is not an option for us. - Don't worry. I won't let that happen. - Why do you care so much? - We might not be best friends, but it doesn't mean I want something bad to happen to you. Otherwise, you will blame me. - That is very likely to happen. - See? I better do something now than regret it later. - You are a smart cookie. - Thanks. Said from you means a lot. - I have to go home. - Trouble? - Mom is asking for me. I didn't want him to go, but I couldn't let him get in more trouble. I won't allow it. For dinner, I was at home. I went for a shower before eating. My parents were already at home. I think I saw my dad in the kitchen. It's not every day that he will help my mom. I'm happy to see them together. At least they have a happy ending. - Great job. The food is delicious. - I had some help today. - my mom said - So my eyes didn't lie to me. - What? - I saw your helper in the kitchen, but I wasn't sure if I saw him correctly. - You did. We finished faster this time. - I'm sure you can teach him a few things. - I would love to. He can learn how to cook. - Are you sure he would want that? - Girls, I'm at the table. - my dad said - We know. - Can I have an opinion on this? - Sure. What is it? I want to hear it. - I said - I will cook when I want to do it. Don't pressure me if you want more food from me. - Sorry. Don't get mad. Mom and I will be good girls. I know he was joking, but part of me didn't want to risk it. Both of us help my mom when we can, but there are some things only she can do. I mean, she is the woman in the house. I'm only a kid. Adulthood will hit me one day, but it won't be soon. Now, I have other things on my mind. Kian is the main one. I'm afraid he will start stalking me. Maybe he won't, but I can't be sure. I have to be careful. He can't find out where I work. The boys have nothing to do with that. I can't let them mess with this. Jay wants to help, but I won't allow it. I hope that Kian will stop interacting with me.
