The rest of the day was quiet. It wasn’t until dinner that someone said something.
“Josh how was your first day?” I heard Barion ask. I looked at him.
“Fine.” I said and he snickered.
“What’s with you?” Lydia asked.
“I heard Josh was holding hands with the Liam’s sister all day.” Barion said.
“Oh yeah mom, they were in his room again with the door closed.” Lydia said.
“Liddie!” I said and Barion whistled.
“My brother the lady killed over here.” He laughed.
“Josh! I told you not to be in there alone with girls!” My dad said with a smile on his face. The only one really knowing what happened.
“Nothing happened.” I said sighing.
“Then why did she come back home slamming stuff and told me what a jerk you were?” My mom said.
“Because!” I said starting to raise my voice.
“Hey! Don’t take that tone with me!” My mom said.
“Henry is pretty sure Josh has claimed Daisy.” Andy added.
“Hey! I didn’t claim her!” I said groaning. “I’m going to bed.” I pushed my chair out.
“Hold up! You didn’t finish dinner. Everyone quit picking on your brother.” My mom said as we went back to eating.
“So, are you feeling the mate bond to her or just fooling around?” Barion asked.
“Bye.” I said getting up. I could hear mom scolding Barion as I walked out. I hurried back to my room and sat on my bed. Even my room felt awkward. I grabbed my phone and opened it. I saw a unread message.
“Do you miss me yet? Kiss emoji kiss emoji.” From Daisy.
“Haha you’re very funny.” I said and put my phone down. I walked over and changed into my pajama pants as the phone buzzed again. I walked to it and looked at the message.
“Admit you miss me, and I’ll forgive you.” From Daisy. I shook my head and threw the phone into the nightstand. I couldn’t stop thinking about her lips on mine. I rolled over closing my eyes. Every time I closed my eyes I thought about her soft lips. It took awhile to drift to sleep but I finally had.
I woke up feeling the bed move. I looked up as Daisy laid down cuddling up to me. I grabbed my phone.
“What are you doing here? It’s … oh my goddess is like five in the morning!” I said covering my eyes.
“Sorry, I wasn’t trying to wake you. I missed you!” She giggled.
“I’m going back to sleep.” I said laying there.
“Really? A woman climbs in your bed saying they miss you and you’re going to go back to sleep?” She asked.
“Yes.” I said.
“Wow am I so repulsive? Do I repulsive you Josh?” She asked and I sighed.
“NO!” I said angry.
“I thought so.” She giggled.
“Wait did you sneak out of your house? What if they notice you’re not home?” I asked.
“Who cares? They’re too busy with Liam and Riley to care. Just like your family is too caught up with Barion and Lydia to care right?” Daisy said and I didn’t say anything. “You didn’t think I didn’t notice there was a reason for you to be so bitter?” She said in a much more serious tone.
“I have to be understanding.” I said.
“Oh right. You have to be the understanding one. The over sight. The one they come to when they need something, not the one they come to because they want to just simply know how you are.” Daisy complained.
“Is it that obvious?” I asked.
“To me it is, because we share that common ground.” Daisy said. “But let’s stop being sad.” Daisy started kissing my chest and I groaned.
“It’s to early for that.” I said pushing her.
“Oh come on Josh! I think there’s something wrong with you.” She said sitting up. I looked at her.
“What are you wearing?” I asked and she looked down.
“It’s a nightgown?” She said wearing a tank top dress looking thing. “You’re one to talk!” She lifted the blanket. “You’re only wearing sleep pants.” She said.
“I sleep in comfort.” I said.
“And you think I’m not comfortable?” She asked.
“What ever.” I covered back up and she reached up feeling my chest. “What are you doing now!?” I asked.
“You’re not resisting.” She giggled.
“I’m too tired to resist.” I laid down. She lifted the blanket getting under. “Are you planning to sleep here? I thought you would go home.” I said.
“Do you want me to go home?” She asked putting her head on my chest again and looking at me. I laid there a moment in silence. “Are you struggling to say no!?” She got up and giggled.
“I don’t care where you sleep.” I said and she moved up grabbing my face and kissing me. She looked at me and I moved the hair from her face.
“Admit you like me Josh.” She said smiling at me and I started to laugh.
“Never.” I said.
“I beg to differ.” She said as she leaned down kissing me again. Soon we were kissing more passionately again. I pushed her off of me.
“Ok that’s enough of that.” I said starting to feel uncomfortable.
“Seriously?” She said.
“Yes I have to sleep for tomorrow.” I said closing my eyes.
“Oh my god are you even a man!?” She said and I felt slightly offended.
“What are you expecting?” I asked sitting up.
“I was expecting you to try to at least get to second base!” She said so bluntly.
“What?!” I said and started laughing.
“Why is that funny?” She asked.
“Daisy I’ve been here only a few days. We’ve only been hanging out a few days. I’m not going to try to feel you up. We’re friends, I think.” I said.
“You think!? Oh come on Josh, I’ve never met a werewolf as prude as you.” She said grabbing my hand and sticking it straight to her breast. I yanked my hand away.
“Hey! I’m not a prude!” I said.
“I like you Josh! I wouldn’t be throwing myself at you if I didn’t like you!” Daisy said.
“Then just lay down and go to sleep.” I sighed as Daisy stared at me a moment. She sighed and laid down cuddling up to me. I put my arm around her.
