“Joshua!” I heard and sat up. Daisy fell off me to the side. Jensen stood there in shock.
“It’s not what it looks like! We just slept!” I said and Daisy got up rubbing her eyes.
“What time is it!?” Daisy said crawling over me and grabbing my phone. “It’s almost seven! I have to go!” Daisy jumped out of bed and past Jensen. “Hi Jensen!” She said as she ran past.
“Are you going to tell mom?” I asked.
“I should. She’s asked me to come get you. You’re lucky it wasn’t her that came to wake you.” He said angry. “I’ll tell her you’re on your way.” Jensen left and I quickly got up. I got dressed and ran down stairs. I got to the family dining room where my dad and mom were laughing and talking. They stopped staring at me out of breath.
“Good morning?” My dad said.
“Josh you look like you’ve seen a ghost.” My mom said. Jensen walked in, whispered something to my mom and I stood there waiting to get scorned.
“Oh yes, I’ll be there in a moment.” She said and I sighed a breath of relief.
“Josh come sit.” My dad said. I slowly went and sat down. They both watched me.
“There’s something going on here.” My mom said.
“Does this have to do with yesterday?” My dad asked and I looked at my mom.
“What happened yesterday?” My mom sounded eager. I looked at my dad and nodded.
“Don’t be scared Josh. I didn’t tell anyone.” My dad smiled.
“You pretty much just told mom.” I said.
“Ok, what happened. You know I don’t like being left in the dark about ANYTHING.” She crossed her arms.
“It’s nothing Hannah. He was just kissing on the Shore girl.” My dad said taking a sip of his coffee.
“Joshua!” My mom yelled.
“Dad! You said you would keep it a secret!” I said upset.
“Son everything I say is a secret, your mother also knows.” My dad started eating.
“Why did you guys get me up?” I asked and my mom sighed.
“Barion leaves tonight. We wanted you to go with Jensen and escort them to the plane.” My mom said still slightly upset.
“Ok, that sound fine. I can do that.” I exhaled relief. I looked up at both of them staring at me.
“So son, why were you so out of breath this morning?” My dad asked.
“No reason.” I said and Jensen came out putting a plate of food in front of me. He slapped my back and started walking away. I looked slowly up.
“Oh goddess, you need to talk to him.” My mom said looking at my dad.
“About what?” My dad held up a news paper and started looking it over.
“About mate bonds and s*x.” My mom said.
“Mom!” I said completely uncomfortable.
“We already had that talk.” My dad said.
“The last thing I want to hear is how he was climbing in her window at night!” My mom said and my dad burst out laughing.
“Josh is a good kid. Plus if he was climbing out, we would’ve noticed by now.” My dad continued to chuckle.
“No one noticed that you did.” My mom said.
“True.” My dad put down his paper. “Son you’re not sneaking into anyones windows are you?” My dad asked.
“No.” I said annoyed.
“I trust it.” My dad said lifting his paper back up.
“What ever is going on, I will find out Josh.” My mom said and I nodded.
After a awkward breakfast I went back to my room to rest for half a hour until I had to start my second day of training. I opened my door and walked in.
“Don’t you have a home?” I asked as I saw Daisy lounging in my bed.
“I do! And you know what? Not one noticed I was gone half the night.” She smiled.
“My mom noticed something was up.” I said and walked over laying down.
“And?” She asked.
“And?” I replied.
“What did she want this morning.” Daisy asked.
“Oh I’m going to help escort Barion and Liam to the airport with Jensen.” I said closing my eye.
“I wanna go!” She whined.
“Ask your dad.” I said.
“You know Liam isn’t going to want me to go!” Daisy said in a almost pout.
“I’m sorry.” I said and I looked at her. She looked almost shocked I sounded sincere.
“Joshy are you starting to be nice to me?!” She asked.
“I guess.” I said and Daisy scoffed. She leaned over and started rubbing my chest. “I have to leave soon to spend the day with your father.” I said.
“Bring up my dad? What a mood killer.” She said sighing.
“There was a mood?” I laughed.
“I don’t get you Josh. Any guy I have ever flirted with has made a pass or a move of some kind on me. You on the other hand, pretend I don’t exist.” I looked at her.
“That’s not true.” I said and she hopped up straddling me. “Ok, get off me.” I said and she shook her head. She started to grind into me and I groaned. “This isn’t funny, I have to go see your dad.” I went to reach up and she held my arms down. “Daisy.” I said as she moved on top of me. She stopped and gasped.
“Joshy you do like me.” She giggled.
“When you’re grinding on me like that, I can’t help it!” I said kicking my leg and easily over powering her. I laid over the top of her and she grabbed my shirt pulling me lightly down. I put my lips on hers and I felt her legs rub against my sides. I heard the door open and looked over in shock.
“Hey Josh I… JOSH!” Andy shut the door.
“Its not what it looks like!” I yelled and Daisy giggled.
“It is what it looks like.” She said.
“I’m just stunned.” Andy said as I pushed myself up.
“I have to go.” I said as I felt my cheeks flush.
“Josh?” Daisy sat up.
“I have to go see your dad. Oh my god.” I stood up.
“I think he’s having a panic attack.” Andy said watching the terror on my face.
“He got all weird after we made out yesterday too.” Daisy said.
“Will you stop telling people!” I said taking a deep breath.
“You guys made out yesterday?! I have to tell Liddie! She’s going to be stunned!” Andy started to the door,
“No she’s going to tell my mom, you can’t tell anyone!” I said grabbing his arm.
“Josh it’s not a big deal.” I looked at him confused. “Ok it is a big deal! You hate everyone!” Andy said looking at Daisy. “And her of all people. I would’ve never guessed.” Andy laughed
“Hey! What’s wrong with me?” She said to Andy.
“Uh maybe because you tortured him as a child?” Andy said matter for factly.
“I did not! He was like my childhood bestie.” Daisy said.
“I must’ve missed that when your dad pulled you off of him while he cried and screamed.” Andy said and Daisy laughed.
“We were having fun!” She said and I shook my head.
“Is this why you claimed her? Held her hand all day yesterday?” Andy asked me.
“No.” I said.
“Yes.” Daisy said at the same time.
“I didn’t claim her.” I said.
“He did and now I’m obligated to be his.” Daisy joked.
“I have to go.” I said and Daisy jumped up.
“Have fun with my dad.” She smirked and jumped up kissing my cheek. “See you after work!” She said and walked out the door.
“Josh, what the f*ck man.” Andy said before he burst out laughing.
“She’s been all over me for days ok!” I said walking out the door.
“Well are you feeling a mate bond or something?” Andy followed.
“No, I don’t know. Can you even feel a mate bond before it’s time?” I asked him.
“I mean, maybe? Ask your dad or mom. My dad said something about how my mom could feel it about a week before her birthday.” Andy said and I stopped.
“I should ask.” I said walking off.
