The door opened and Uncle Declan walked in slowly. “Thank the goddess.” He said as he walked to his desk. “What?” Daisy asked. “I just worried I would walk into Josh being held in some wrestling move.” Uncle Dec laughed. “She’s already tried yesterday.” I said and uncle Dec burst out laughing. “Josh!” She smacked my arm. “Alright you two! First we are going to check our messages because anything for the Alpha, unless urgent of course, comes to me. I look it over and compile it into a report for our morning meeting.” I got up and went around to the other side so I could see the computer. I was surprised to see there was around fifty messages asking for one thing or another. “How long does this usually take?” I asked as he went through them one by one. “Half hour. I mostly skim them when there’s this many. Mostly because they’re asking for little things that can’t be answered. Because your dad is here, you can see roughly 65% is people asking to see the king or the queen. I have no control over who they gave audiences too, so I’m going to forward that to Jensen.” Uncle Dec did a few clicks gathering all the emails for Jensen and sending them all off with one click. “Wow there’s only 20 emails left now.” I said and he pointed to the screen. “You see the ones here with the red exclamation points by them. Those are urgent within the pack. I check those first.” Uncle Dec started opening them and reading. “Now we compile what we have in notes for the meeting.” Uncle Dec opened a another window on his computer. He started compiling different pin points from his messages. “Does Uncle James get his own emails like this and do the same thing?” I asked. “He does, he mostly deals with other packs and alpha’s and I handle more internal things. I also help with the training and over seeing the training of our troops. Next week, we’ll take a over night trip to the college and make sure training is running smoothly.” Uncle Dec smiled. “Really!?” I said. “Wow Josh, you seem excited for something for once.” I heard Daisy say. “It’s good you’re excited son.” Declan began typing up his report. “And done!” He smiled at me. “Now we have the meeting?” I asked and uncle Dec stood. “Yep! Daisy stay here.” He said looking at her. “But I want to come too!” She said in a almost whine. “No, it’s better you stay here.” Uncle Dec went to go around and I saw Daisy giving him her puppy dog look. “Fine.” He sighed. “Yay!!! Come on Joshy!” She jumped up and grabbed my hand. “Will you quit.” I said trying to take my hand back. “Hold my d*mn hand.” She said in a almost whisper and I gasped. “You’re using me!” I said and she glared at me. “Shut up!” She said and Uncle Dec turned and went to talk. He stopped looking at our hands. “I’m sorry, she won’t give my hand back.” I said. “Daisy.” Uncle Dec said. “It will give him the hint to stop.” Daisy said. “Or make him crazier then he already is!” Uncle Dec looked upset. “Fine!” She dropped my hand. Uncle Dec opened the door. “Sorry we’re late.” He said as we all filed into the meeting room. “It’s perfectly fine. We’re a bit late too. So many emails about Lee and Hannah.” Uncle James said. “Same. I just forwarded mine to Jensen.” Uncle Dec said sitting down. “Daisy!” Henry smiled walking over and hugging her. “Really?” Uncle James said looking at uncle Dec. “She begged to come.” He said and I sat down. I watched Henry rub her back as he held her close. Part of me felt a little disgusted. “Henry.” Uncle James said and he finally let her go. Daisy came straight over next to me and I grabbed her hand. She looked at me shocked. “Let’s get started.” Uncle Dec said as Henry slowly sat down by Uncle James staring at us. They mostly talked boring business and I was growing so bored, I started to wonder if anyone would notice if I fell asleep. “Alright! Well let’s break for lunch and then we have to start our meeting with the King.” Uncle Dec said standing up. “We have a meeting with dad today?” I asked. “Yes, mundane stuff. Mostly checking on the progress of the new house and the arrangements for the kids in eclipse.” Uncle Dec turned to James. “Is Izzy going to join the eclipse kids?” He asked. “Isabella is coming home and I think Hermia is going to try to convince her to stay.” Uncle James said. “Izzy is coming home! When!?” Daisy was excited. Isabella was only a year younger then Henry. She had been off to college and was finally done with schooling. “Just a couple days.” Henry said with a smile. “Mom is having a small get together for it. Everyone is invited to come.” Henry said looking at everyone. “Yes, I was supposed to start inviting people today.” Uncle James said to Uncle Dec. “You better get started on that or Hermia will be mad.” Uncle Dec said. “You’re right. Boy go start inviting people.” Uncle James pushed Henry and laughed. Henry stumbled and then walked up to Daisy. “You’ll come right? You’ll be there?” He asked and Daisy seemed uneasy. “Only if Josh goes.” She said and Henry made a somewhat scowl but then faked a smile. “If he wants to come, he’s invited.” Henry’s smile faded and he walked out the door. We started towards the door. “HOLD IT!” I heard uncle Dec call. We turned and saw both me and uncle James staring at us. “I told you not to make him crazy!” Uncle Dec said crossing his arms. “Hey! He’s not crazy, he’s just passionate.” Uncle James said. “Hands?” Uncle Dec said and I dropped Daisy’s hand. “Josh grabbed my hand this time, I had nothing to do with it.” Daisy crossed her arms. “Just be nice to him. People have been putting on the pressure to find a mate. He’s been stressed about it.” Uncle James said with a somber look on his face. “Of course.” Daisy said. “Ok, let’s go eat.” Uncle Dec said.
