Fortunately for her, People came out of the restaurant, realized what was happening, rescued her from him and she told them to report the case to the police as domestic violence.

“This is an issue between lovers, it is not a case to be reported, you can resolve it among yourself,” The policeman said with his face not sizing his head and his shaped head as he fell to the ground as a baby.

“You mean until he killed me before I can report him, is that what you are trying to say, or until I get injured” Sam shouted with disgust

“You are not injured, no sign of violence or mark on your body, we can take it up,” He said

With a sense of satisfaction from Ken, “ She is a bit sensitive, she is going through a tough time, I apologize on her behalf” Ken said

“You can’t report your partner just because you are angry at him or because you are sensitive at the moment,” The policeman said

She was already fuming with anger and irritation with the words from the policeman who was supposed to protect her from this beast sitting beside her but it seemed like he was supporting his stupid act

The police notice She is not interested in his words which seem like a sermon because considering everything he has been saying, it doesn’t seem like anyone would done to this monster

“Can you at least take me home?” She said to the policeman

She felt a bit relaxed in the police car and at the same time uncertain about what awaited her after returning to the past.

When she got home, she started thinking of every possible way and the significance of returning to the past, what was the reason for reliving it? What can I do to escape from this man?

A message popped up on her phone which caught her attention from the different thoughts running through her head

“I'm sorry for yelling and holding you in a way you don’t like” The message was from Ken “ I'm going to buy you a bag after I get my stock price from Clem,” He said

“Clem! Clem!, the name sounded familiar then she had a flashback that Ken invested into it and got a huge amount of money from it.

Suddenly she realized something

“I’m aware of every event, scenario, and news that happened in 2014 and 2024” She screamed with joy. “I’m going to use this to my advantage and I’m going to get rich, no need to get scared about how to run away from him”

Then another message popped up again

“Let’s get married after all this” Ken said

She read the message and was disgusted, she quickly opened her laptop to research on stock that she knew it going to bloom.

Then the next day, she proceeded to the library to get books on stock and also books on quitting her job.

While she was going around in the library in search of different books, she got to climb the library-designated ladder to check on the books arranged at the top of the shelves, she lost her balance and almost fell down when she realized someone had held her so she won’t fall, she looked to check who it was and to her utmost surprise

“Hello sir, what are you doing here? And thank you for not making me fall” she said out of surprise

But he was more interested in the books that she held in her hands on stock and quitting her job

“What kind of book are you getting from the library, I understand the one for stock, but I understand the one for quitting the job, don’t tell me you are planning on quitting your job,” He asked

She tried to hide the books behind her back but he had scanned the titles with his eyes and called out the names so there was no need to hide them

“It not what you think, Mr. Alex,” she said while adjusting her recommended eye-glasses when she noticed something odd on his hands

“ did you get hurt yesterday when you were trying to help me up and avoid the hot water from pouring on my face?” She asked

He nodded

“I’m so sorry you got hurt because of me,” she said with a pitiful face

“If you want me to believe you are sorry, treat me to a nice lunch today,” he said

They went to a nearby restaurant and sat opposite each other. Sam was a bit uncomfortable and shy because she wasn't sure she had seen him up close to the extent of sitting together as he was her boss and she had another subordinate who was in higher rank that could get information from him to pass words across to her and other workers.

Alex noticed her discomfort and also observed that she was deep in thought

“Sam, you don't like the place, should we go elsewhere” he diverted her attention to him

“Oh, not at all, it's fine, the place is beautiful and classy to your taste” she answered

She tried to flashback to the past if she had a cordial relationship with him of his kindness towards her, she never imagined him to be that kind of person, he was always looking serious with a button suit, eye-glasses and a laptop bag walking into his office with a straight face

With a smooth motion, he reaches up his hand to remove his glasses, revealing his dark brown eye, his eyelid fluttering to the sensation of the glasses being removed.

Sam was carried away with a sharp jawline and angles of cheekbones and nose. She could have sworn she hadn't noticed this about him even after working in the company for quite a while and seeing him often heading to his office.

She was taken back by his question

“Are you planning on quitting your job?”

She was caught by surprise then he pointed at the book she got from the library

“Not really “ she answered

Vibration from her phone. It was a call from her best friend but she ignored it as she was having a conversation with her boss, he made a demonstration with his hands that you could go ahead with the call but she insisted

Ding!

“Call me back, where are you?, you acted strange at the office yesterday, I need an explanation or a text from you”

Sam read through and ignored the message while admiring her husband's boss and she thought to herself “ I never liked him because he was always frowning but now, I know better, he seems like a kind man”

All of a sudden, her eye sighted something strange, she quickly his hand to notice the cut he had and she remembered a similar cut in the past
