03~ Adrien

Clara's Pov The last two days have been not so good for me. Alpha Darius has been leaving for his work, mom on the other hand hasn't been steady at home all the time, leaving me with my three annoying brothers. Since Gerek and I had talked a few times, I decided to go to his room. The problem right now is, I can't tell which is his room. I already know Adrien's, so I didn't mind knocking on his door. I started from the door I thought was Adrien's, offering a knock on it. It took close to three minutes before whosoever owned the room came to open his door. However, it was Adrien. I stared at the room which I thought was Adrien's. I must have mistaken an empty room for his. "Sorry, I'm looking for Gerek's room. But don't worry, I'll check the other room." I left before he could say or do any thing. I knocked on the next door, I heard footsteps approaching to open the door. I hoped it would be Gerek and... No. It wasn't. It was Kelvin. "Sorry, I was checking in for Gerek. I'll check the other room." I left, standing before the next door. As if Gerek knew I was coming, I heard the sound of key unlocking the door. He showed up with a big headphone on his two ears. "Hey, Clara. Good morning." He greeted me politely. "Hi. Good morning." I responded. "Mind if I come in?" "Yeah, sure. Come on in." I walked in, glaring around the room. It had comics and animated pictures of anime fans pasted on his walls, with a large smart television for his video games. "Sorry for the mess, I wasn't expecting you to show up." He apologized, clearing the game disks on the floor. I really do admire Gerek a lot. Though he has this young facial look, and a not so noticable abs, he's kinda cool with his looks. We had a long conversation in which he was the one mostly with the talking while I did the listening. Later, I watched as he played his video games which we eventually switched to watching anime. He had a phone call. After the call he explained it was one of his friends who wanted to see him. "How long are you gonna stay outside?" I asked, knowing quite well home would be a lot boring without him. "Don't worry, I'll try not to take too long. By the way, Adrien, Kelvin..." I didn't let him finish talking, I cut him short. "Don't worry, I'll just keep myself busy with watching movies since no one is in the sitting room." I can tell he understood why I had done what I did, so he didn't ask. "I'll see you when you get home." I left for the sitting room, and not quite long after I had left his room, he was leaving. "Bye." We waved at each other before he left. I was keeping myself busy with the ongoing movie, "Stranger Things." I was so lost in the movie that I didn't notice Adrien and Kelvin suddenly showed up, not minding my presence, they sat comfortably on the couches. Kelvin sat beside me, taking the remote from where I had kept it. Without asking, he changed the station to that of football. I knew they had indirectly asked me to leave, so I did myself the honor and left for my room. My room was getting quite boring, and surfing the internet wasn't as enticing as it used to be. I left the room and decided to walk around. Even as I walked past them to the door, they acted not to have noticed me. I took a stroll to the garden, sitting on the metal bench under a tall shady tree. I was wondering what was taking Gerek so long to show up already. He was quite comfortable to be with unlike the other boys. "It's cold out here, you will catch a cold if you stay out long with the light cloth on." Mom said from behind me. I sighed in relief to see her. Finally, I won't have to spend the rest of my hours feeling bored. "What took you so long to return?" I asked worriedly. "Your father sent me on an errand. Is every thing alright?" She asked, noticing my sour expression. I wanted to share with her my experience with the boys but had to decline the idea. Even if I tell her, it won't change them from their cold attitude. They will still not accept the fact that I am their step sister. "It's nothing. I'm fine." "Talk to me, sweetheart, what's bothering you?" She asked, not feeling satisfied with my reply. "Is it about your brothers?" "I think they don't like me." "But Gerek does." "It still doesn't change the fact that the others don't. I think they don't want me either." "No, Clara, don't say that. Since you've noticed they aren't familiar with you, then all you've got to do is give them some space and spend most of your time with Gerek instead. Try not to bother about what they think or say about you, I bet you, they'll surely come to you." "Do they even call you mom?" I asked her. I wanna know, since that's the only way to get an answer to why they've been treating me like an outcast. "They can't call me mother, Clara, I ain't their mom. And besides, they aren't kids any more, they are old enough to know their rights." "Well, it doesn't matter. After all, Alpha Darius isn't my real father, yet I call him dad. They are just being so proud of themselves." "Shush." Mom shushed me. "Don't let them hear you say that. Come on, let's get inside." We returned back to the mansion only to find the sitting room empty. "You get some rest while I watch a movie." I said to mom who agreed. While I was watching a movie, I heard Adrien's voice from behind me. "And who said you can handle the remote?"
