Selene parked her car directly in front of her house, her favorite flower plant was ruined along with most of her lawn but she did not care. She just wanted to get inside as soon as possible, get a drink, and lie down. Maybe she would watch a movie but the drink was more important.
She quickly got out of the car with her bag in her hand, it was strapped across her elbow. She locked the doors of the car the instant she was out and hurriedly made her way in the direction of her front door.
If she had driven the car into the garage she would have gotten immediate access to her kitchen and of course the drink in the refrigerator but now she had to go through the living room first. It was not really a hassle but it would have shortened her back and forth trip.
She searched through her bag as she walked to the stair leading up to her porch, she found it in no time. She was grateful, she had been worried she would have had to spend some extra time standing in front of her door as she searched for the keys.
She fumbled with the keys as she walked up the stairs, searching for the key to the front door. She found it soon enough, her eyes did not need any sort of light to illuminate the keys for her to find the right one.
Selene unlocked the front door, opened it, and immediately she knew something was wrong. All the hairs on the back of her neck were standing and the next thing her mind said was, 'RUN!'
However, she didn't get a chance to obey the command her brain just issued because as soon as she unlocked and pushed open the door, she was pulled in and punched on the side exactly where she had been shut.
Selene coughed as the pain reverberated through her entire body. Her lungs seized as she knew breathing in would cause her more pain. She needed to retaliate but her body was not listening to her and moreover, her attacker wasn't giving her any chance to.
The instant they had punched her, she heard the door closed just as she was pushed to the ground, her hands were pinned to her back and dirty clothes shoved in her mouth. She tried to bite but her jaw did not have enough force. Selene had not even been given a chance to cry out.
"Hi, Selene Valak!" The person who had shoved the dirty clothes in her mouth said. Selene had been able to tell the instant she had walked into the room that he was human.
There was a slight silence where nothing could be heard but her heavy breathing which was made even harder with the nasty cloth in her mouth.
"Oh, s**t! I forgot you can't talk, not with the cloth in your mouth. I would have really loved to have a conversation with you but I am sure if I take this out of your mouth, you will scream my head off." He said with a creepy smile.
