CHAPTER SEVENTY-SEVEN

"I am sorry our first official meeting is in such conditions but I do not expect that you would come with me willingly, so of course, these measures had to be taken. I apologize." Jason muttered Selene would have laughed if she could. I apologize, he said. She wanted his head on a platter and he was here talking about bullshit she was not interested in. She did not want to think about it but she was worried. Her side was in severe pain, whoever it was that had given her that punch knew exactly what he was doing and if she was right, he had definitely been aiming for that spot. He had gotten her spot on. She had been in so much pain the instant his fist connected that she had been unable to follow what happened after and the next thing she knew she was on the ground with a slightly buff vampire pinning her hands behind her back while digging his elbow into her back and a weird human shoving a dirty cloth into her mouth. Presently, she was lying on the floor helplessly. She had tried to move but it didn't take long for her to figure out it was a wasted attempt. Whoever was atop her knee exactly what he was doing, she could even barely move her legs. Selene swore, she knew she had to stop exerting any energy so whenever the opportunity to escape arose, she would be able to take it. Her plan was to try to run whenever she could, she would come back for revenge as soon as she managed to escape. Nobody was coming, she knew, definitely not with the way she had stormed out even though she had every reason to. The worst part was they probably would not realize something was wrong until it was too late. "I know you must be wondering what I want with you. It is pretty simple really, something I think only you have the answer to but sadly if I had asked oh so nicely you probably wouldn't have given me an audience that's why I have to use this medium. Although there is all the fact that you vampires have reduced the quality…" The rest of Jason's words zoned out and Selene could only watch in awe and horror as Jason all but mumbled to himself. "However," he resumed again, loud enough for her to hear. "That isn't your fault really." Selene found that the way he said 'really' was very annoying. "Unfortunately, it concerns you, so um here we are." Selene could not comprehend how someone was saying a lot of words but not essentially saying anything. He had been speaking for quite some time and she still didn't know their plans for and with her or who the heck they were. Obviously, they weren't interested in her opinion because the first thing they had done after restricting her movements was to restrict her words. Though he was right that she would scream still the one-sided conversation was creepy.
