I ran till my legs could no longer move, I sat on a rock, devastated not knowing what next to do. My breaths weren’t normal, it felt like I could die any moment. My fur were flicking as my heart felt really heavy. I clenched my hands to my heart, hoping the pain would stop, but it seems to have gotten worse.
I turned only to sight Sarah and the pack, they were coming towards my end. They didn’t look like one who came for peace, but rather to torture and kill me. I took off immediately hoping they won’t see me.
“Get her!” Sarah yelled and they all came running towards me.
They were indeed fast, I kept running till I scrambled to my feet, I immediately stood up and began running.
I could hear their growls, their hot breaths on my heel. My heart pounding twice every second. I darted between trees, branching whipping my face, but I felt no pain, I needed to get away from them. I kept my face forward as I ran, my heart racing.
“Where could I go? Who would help me?” I kept thinking as I ran.
The pack was all over the place, I felt trapped, I need to fudge my self out of this mess, out of their hands.
I could hear the pack, they were drawing closer to me. Each step I heard made my heart pound fast. I pushed my self harder, my lungs burning, my muscles screaming for help, and even though my legs were tired I kept pushing.
“If Sarah and the pack catch up with me, I would forever be an Omega.”
These thought alone made me push harder, pushing myself to it’s own limit.
Soon enough, I saw my last hope. It was a small, hidden behind the waterfall. I made my way towards it, my feet slipping on the wet rocks.
I made my way in, gasping for breath before the pack would catch up to me. I couldn’t smell nor see the pack, something was strange.
I sneaked out to see if Sarah was hiding, only to realize I was out of the territory.
“Whose territory is this?” I’m surely done for.
As I sat on a rock, I melted back into my memory with Jaxon, I didn’t feel the happiness that came with the memory, rather sadness.
“I wish we never met!” I yelled.
I was shifted half way, my flur flickering black as my eyes glowed gold. I was in pain, my heart torn apart by the rejection scene.
I cried out to the moon goddess”Alpha Jaxon is meant to be my fated mate, right? That was what you told me. So what’s happening?”
I stared at the mark on my hands, the symbol of rejection, pain was an understatement of how I’m feeling at this point.
“Answer me, show me your face once more,” I said with curiosity and agony.
“Are you not the goddess? Why, why me? Why me?” I yelled, my vision blurting as tears filled my eyes.
“Am I really not worth loving?” I said my voice low.
The pain I feel now, it’s worst than that of when I was being picked on.
“Why act like my savior? Why give me hope? Why make me feel loved only to disgrace me?” I asked loud as tho Jaxon would hear me.
I hoped it was all a dream, I pinched on myself hoping to wake up from this nightmare. But it wasn’t a dream, my soul felt like it was being ripped. I fell on my knees as I collapsed on the group, my body shaking as I sobbed.
“Moon goddess, this is actually the time to come to me, I need answers!”
I waited for long but yet no reply from the moon goddess, I felt abandoned, I felt unworthy of protection or love.
As I lay there, I heard Sarah and the pack closing in, but I couldn’t move, my breaths counting once in a minute, my vision blurred as I heard voices in my head.
I suddenly heard a clear sound, it wasn’t painful like the voices I heard, it was a soft rhythm, it felt like the earth was breathing. It was a shimmering veil of color, it was rolling over the dead trees towards me. It wasn’t air neither was it water, it was thick and glowing. It smell was that of ancient rain, I was impressed by what I saw as I stood up, trying to play with what was before me.
As soon as it touched my skin, my pain and fever of the broken bond was gone, the mist thickened as it wrapped around my waist, I tried to take it off but I was too weak to fight as the fluid began to pull my body.
I was dragged across the forest floor, not with violence but in a terrifying way, I was taken into the depth of the mountain, a place where I haven’t been before.
My vision blurred as the fluid took me stepped into the mountain, and soon enough I went into a deep sleep.
As I opened my eyes, I saw an unfamiliar place. The ceiling glowed with constellation that wasn’t a belonging of the sky. My blurred vision soon became clear, I made my way out of the bed only to find a figure standing behind me.
“UH!” I gasped.
“Welcome, to my chamber Star Wolf.” The figure said.
“I think I’m in the wrong place, I’m sorry ma, I would get going.” I said as I tried to leave.
“Elena, right?”
Something seamed off.
“How did you know my name?” I asked.
“Pardon my manners, I am Elder Selaphiel, a moon priestess of the Shadow Fang Pack.”
As I heard the word moon priestess, I bowed.
“How did I end up here?” I asked with curiosity.
“It’s such a pity that he lost you, my little wolf.”
“Lost me? A pity?” I said.
“No, it’s not, I am not worthy of love or protection, and I won’t bother you.” I said with pain.
“Do you know of whom you are born from? Do you know the blood you carry?” Elder asked.
“Blood?” I asked.
“You are born of a celestial blood, my child.”
She answered with a smile.
I was confused..”Celestial blood?”
“Yes my dear, you my daughter is a Star Wolf.”
Confusion lingered in my head.
“Star wolf?”
“A star wolf is one born of purity and blessed by the Star. A child known to bring fortune and blessing.” She said as she held me face gently. But I was still confused.
“It has been decades since I heard a star wolf.” She said as tho she knew the question I wanted to asked. “When I heard the cry of a star wolf, I immediately called on to it and that’s how you are here.”
“I, I am a star wolf?” I asked with confusion and excitement.
“Yes, you are.”
“And my pack?”
“Your pack?” She asked.
“They can smell me and they would trace me down here, what will you do? They might harm you.” I said with concern.
“They can’t trace you, I erased your scent from the water fall down to my fortress.” Elder selaphiel answered as the turned to get me a glass of water.
“Where is this?” I asked.
“You are at the Shadow Fang Pack, my little wolf.”
The name “Shadow Fang” sent chills down my spine. Shadow Fang Pack is the strongest pack in the history of wolf, they are known for bravery and strength. “If they knew I am from the pack, I would be killed” I thought to myself.
“Alpha Killian, he wouldn’t stain his hands on innocent blood, fear no more.” Elder Selaphiel said.
As I opened my mouth to ask another question, a knock on the door interrupted.
“The door is open.” She said.
The door swung open as a figure slipped in through the door, my heart skipped as the figure closed the door.
