Chapter 10. Blessings and rejections

Jamie POV.

Looking at our mate we are instantly mesmerized, then we spot the mark. Can it be, Jamie? Is our mate the blessed wolf? How did we not sense this? We need to talk to the elders right now! I go to move towards the pack house and she shakes her head. NOOOO! You can’t tell anyone, Jaxon please. Lily was nervous to say the least to show you but I told her you could be trusted. This must stay a secret, please. Why is she begging me to keep this a secret she should be thrilled to be blessed. Why are you scared? Lexi, I need to talk to Lily. Can you let her forth? Its a blessing and a curse sometimes that we can have either consciousness in the main control of our body in both forms. Yes Alpha Jamie. I’m not thrilled she called me Alpha but at least it was still Jamie so I’ll take it. Why are you afraid of this Lily? This is a good thing, a blessing. Her reply is immediate and terrified. Yes but it is not normal. I can’t be different, this is too much, I’m sorry I can’t do this.

Lily POV

I run and to my advantage since I’m smaller I’m also faster even with him being an Alpha. I get to the edge of the woods near my home and shift. I run to my home in human form and run right to my room. My mom is out somewhere. Thank god I’m alone. I take out my box. As I cut, burn, bandage I hear the door open and shut. f**k mom, I can’t deal her right now. I go to the stairs and I see my mate looking at me with wide eyes. “I was going to go home and give you space but I felt pain and I came to check on you. What happened beautiful?” Oh f**k how could I forget about that! As we are destined mates even though we have not mated and marked yet, he would still be able to sense I’m in pain or trouble, but not as clearly. We have to tell him Lily. Oh hell no, we don’t. “Sorry, I got a little cut, no big deal.” “Ok well I’m going to go then, you seem to want your space right now and I have to talk to Rachel. I have to tell her that we are over as I have finally found you, my destined mate. Speaking of that, when are you moving to the pack house?” At this comment I’m both terrified and excited. I get to leave my mother but at the same time, now I will be the Luna in training. Who in the hell will want an Omega like me as their Luna. “Soon, I’ll start packing now Jamie. Thank you” With that he gives me a smile and turns to leave as I sigh in relief. This is gonna be bad when he finds out Lily. What are we going to do. I guess we will find out when it happens Lexi.

Jamie POV continued

As I head back to the pack house I’m getting a headache and I open up my mind link as people have been trying to contact me but I had been blocking them out. At once I’m flooded with my father’s angry voice. “Where the hell are you James Michael Salvatore! You better get your ass to this office NOW” I run to the office and am met with my father and a scowl on his face. What was so important that you left hours ago without saying a word. Instantly I feel ashamed for not telling him what was going on. “I met my mate, Dad. My destined mate and she is perfect! I’m so sorry for leaving, I was just too excited to meet her as it was kind of a shock.” He looks just as floored as I was. “Wait, now you meet her? Holy hell why now?” I look slightly puzzled by his question. “She just got her wolf. Today is her birthday. Crap today is her birthday I have to get her a present or something.” Goddess I have no idea what she would like and even who her friends are. Geez I need to go and find out more about her, this is pathetic. My father gives me a look and immediately softens his gaze. “Well go on, I do expect to meet her later today, and please do let your mother know. I’m sure she will be absolutely thrilled. What are you going to do about Rachel since you marked her?” “Lucky thing I didn’t then huh.” My father gives me a puzzled look and I told him about Jax and our compromise. “Thank the goddess your wolf had the sense to do this.” He left the room and I run out to find my mother, hopefully she will know who my mate is close to or have information herself that will help with a gift. I stop short, f**k! Rachel I was going to meet her after my meeting. I run back up to my room and find her reorganizing it. Thank goddess I’m dodging this bullet. “Hey Rachel we need to talk.” She looks at me and immediately pales. “Of course Jamie, what is wrong?” “Nothing is wrong, I just don’t really know how to do this.” I scratch the back of my neck nervously looking for the words. “I found my mate this morning. My destined mate, i’m very sorry for this but I’m choosing her. She will be my love and Luna. I’m sorry that this happened but we can no longer be in a relationship.” She glares at me with fury in her eye. Who is she? Who is this b***h that is taking you from me. You chose me fair and square, this is unacceptable.” I look at her incredulously, this is not how I expected this to go. No one stays with a chosen mate if a destined is discovered, not that it happens a lot it’s really rare but not unheard of. “You will not speak of your future Luna that way.” I use my Alpha tone and she bends her neck in submission. Leave, NOW. She rushes out of the room, sobbing. Well that went horribly. Now on the birthday girl, which will hopefully go much better.
