CHAPTER 10

CHAPTER 10 ALINA'S POV I didn't plan for all this, to meet Enzo and be so attached to him. That wasn't the plan at all. When I turned 18, my brother agreed on letting me see the world. Only for 3 years, then I'd have to come back and take on my responsibilities in this business. It was safe to say we're a Mafia, but we don't like the term very much. So, we just say we're the Santarino family. Which wasn't an entire lie, it just humbled us a little from prying eyes. My brother, Ace Santarino. Was indeed very intelligent, so when the 3 years was up he went searching for me. I guess he didn't like the fact I stumbled an interest into another Mafia family. Though I didn't plan for it, doesn't mean I regret it. I love Enzo Laurent. But our families won't ever look eye to eye. Ace, being the leader, won't agree on forming an alliance. He believes to remain the best, we must earn and work for our own strength and wealth. Sometimes he reminds me of our father, before our mother died. The caring, but strict man who loved his family.  "I said you have 3 weeks, instead you use 7 of those days to sit around here." Ace spoke, pulling me out of my thoughts. As he walked in with a smirk, with one brow raised. "I'm planning." Was all replied. Fiddling with my laptop as I tried to catch Dante's next move. "You're doing it all wrong, little sister." Ace mocked lightly, leaning behind as he pressed a few keys on my keyboard. "There." Was all he said, turning to sit on one of the chairs I had in my office. A bright red light showed up on the map. As it moved slowly down the streets. I then realised my brother tracked down Dante's phone. "How did you know it was Dante I was looking for?" I replied, narrowing my eyes at my brother.  "I know everything, little sister. From the tragic choice in men, to the old run down bar you hid in." He smirked at me. I frowned at him, forgetting just how intelligent he was.  "Why are you even here? You don't usually come on this side of the house." I asked. Which was true, he didn't. Though I'm not surprised, seeing this area of the house was where our parents resided in. "Just making sure you aren't wasting time, time that could be spent on training our men." I only rolled my eyes, a frown deepening on my expression. "Well, that and also this." He said, throwing a  envelope on my desk. I narrowed my eyes at him, trying to detect what he was getting at. But he only laughed, putting his hands up in surrender. "I should take my leave, I've got meetings all afternoon. And, well, you also might not like what you find. So, it's best for my safety that I leave you alone when you look at that." He smirked, turning to leave. Closing the door behind him, as I turned my attention to the envelope on my desk. Reaching to grab it, I started to open it. Only to find photos. Feeling confused, I pulled all the photos out. Laying them on my desk. But I felt my stomach dropped, my eyes starting to feel damp.  "Enzo?" I whispered. And it was, it was Enzo. But he wasn't alone in the photos, he had some woman laying up on him. I clenched my jaw, pushing all the photos off my desk. As they fell on the floor. I then turned to the laptop, smiling in rage as an idea came to me.
