Mikal and the rouges entered the kitchen. Their faces conveyed a mix of emotions. Shock, confusion, and as soon as they smelled Mrs smalls cooking hunger. Mrs. Small walked over to us all and greeted them kindly. Checked for allergies and returned to cooking. We all made our way to the dining hall where I imagined at pack gatherings it would be more like a banquet. Everyone took their seats, and the silence was deafening.
That was until I spoke. "Unless you want me to just call you the rouges and Mikal, maybe you would all like to share your names?" I looked to the largest out of them, who was also notably the youngest at maybe twenty, as I finished speaking. He had broad shoulders but a thinning waistline and dirty blonde hair and tanned olive skin, but sadness in his blue eyes. Like he was born to rejection. "My name is Mallory," he said roughly but without malice. I nodded. "It's nice to meet you, Mallory," I said softly as we went from person to person. I noted one thing none of them had family names, and it broke my heart. After Mallory introduced himself, Vilkas followed suit, Vilkas was one of the oldest here clearly in his early fifties. His hair was grey and distinctive against his ebony dark skin. Then Adien, who must have been in his mid twenties with his dark black hair and pale ivory skin.
Then there was Kehinde. He sat there with a pensive look on his face. He had voluptuous lips and deep brown eyes. His skin was like dark sweet galaxy chocolate, and his hair was short but fluffy. His chest was bold and defined, clearly strong. He didn't look as malnourished as the others, so I think he was new to their band of rouges. Although the more I got to see them, the more I felt like they didn't belong to the world of the rouges. Then there was Evan he was in his mid twenties. He spoke with an Irish accent, and I knew he had come a long way. I wondered what his story was. He had brown, short, messy hair and was large in height and build. His pale skin was covered in bruises, and my heart ached for him. Then there was Kester he was late thirties, and his skin was dark mocha with dark dreadlock hair. When he introduced himself, he didn't just say his name like the others he flirted with Catherine's friend as she walked past. Which made her blush and me chuckle. I never did get her name. But I had a feeling Kester would soon know it well. I smiled as we came to the last rouge Louie he was the skinniest of them he was early twenties maybe, with deep chocolate skin and short dark hair. After everyone was talking, getting to know each other, most of the guys found each other on the road. Some were removed from their packs because their alpha's didn't see their value at a young age, others because they made a mistake, but Mallory, my heart broke for him he was abandoned at birth. But all of them had one thing in common. They all yearned for a pack and family. Mikal told me the one who wouldn't submit was Piotr. He was a wild card indeed from what the others had to say and saw himself as the alpha of their rouge pack.
As we all ate and drank together, I knew one thing deep in my heart. I wanted them to have a choice to either stay and be part of our pack or leave in peace. I just hoped they chose to stay. Senna, I thought, hoping she could talk to Conri for me. 'What's up?' She responded, "Could you ask Conri if they can be given a choice?" 'Okay,' Senna replied as I felt her link to Conri. After that, Wyatt stood. "All of you would be welcome to join us here to stay. But if you do, you will have to accept the pack bond of your own free will and agree to do no harm to anyone within the pack. If you don't agree, we ask that you leave peacefully. The choice is yours. " The strength in Wyatt's voice made me proud to be his mate. "Who's the Alpha?" Asked Mallory curious if Wyatt could even make this offer. In that moment, Chris walked in. "Wyatt here is the king of alpha's, and Isana here is our future Queen Luna," I gasped looking to Wyatt. Holy crap! I ordered the king of the alpha's to stand down. Wyatt chuckled "well I did call you my queen, didn't I?"
