It was complete chaos outside. Medics everywhere checking on those launched in coughing fits and DarkWoods members still trying to trickle in amongs the commotion. I take in a deep breath and I smell her just down the hall. Manuvering through the crowd I make my way to the end and turn the corner. There, Standing infront of an open window I think I am seeing a ghost. It appears my dream version of here hasn't been much off from reality. Her once flowy long chocolate brown hair is now chopped off into an edge pixie hair style. She has on ripped black denim jeans that exsensuates her curve perfectly and a denim vest jacket with bright colorful tattoos dancing along both arms. I chuckle to myself that I had ever doubted our fated.

As I am dazed and drooling over my perfect mate she finally catches my scent and freezes still. I can tell by her posture shes surprised and then she turns my direction and faces me. Tears are streamind down her face and I bolt over to her side grabbing her in my arms and holding her tight.

"It's ok, whatever it is it will be alight. I have finally found you and this time I promise I will never let you go... I have always loved you... Mae."

She squirms a little in my grasp and pulls back to look me in the eyes. I smile at her and she smiles back only to the catch me blindsided and slap me straight across the face.

"Took you long enough you old jerk."

"I have been looking for you for years. ever since I took over the pack, once a month I'd send out search parties and private investigators to find you, how did you stay hidden from me."

"That part is a long story not ment for this moment...Tyler I... I've missed you but... I don't know if I can do this with you. I'm not the girl you onces knew... I'm sorry. I Mae Scarlet Walker, rogue rejec-"

"DONT YOU EVEN DARE THINKING ABOUT REJECTING ME!" I boom through the halls and she lowers her head to me in submission tears falling even more. Something has happened to my girl but I mustn't lose her again. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have commanded you like that, but I can't lose you again. Don't you understand we were made for eachother and no matter what you have been through these past four years I accept you still and I want you. I need you Mae, just as you are, broken and teary eyed, I accept you just like this. The rest we can figure out but please don't ever leave me again."

"Tyler, I can't do this. I can't be a luna."

"I'm not asking for a luna, I'm just asking for you. The rest who care, I just need my Mae, my other half."

Rider then takes over me and pulls Mae in. I scream at him not to scare her. If he trys to mark her I will never forgive myself she's too fragile right now. As I fight for control, he Kisses Mae so deeply and passionately. I feel the bolts of electricity roll all over my body. From the tips of our noses down to our toes it consumes us. Rider pulls back looks Mae in the eyes and exclaims. "MATE!" Before returning control to me.

She is frozen and goes a little limp in my arms. I pick her up bridal style and carry her over to a small bench down the hall near by. I sit down hold her on my lap.

"I'm sorry... Rider... he has been waiting for you too.. you don't know what we've been through either and its safe to say I think he had given up on finding his mate."

We sat in silence for a few moments until the hotels intercom rang out instructing all packs to their rooms for safety. all those exposed to the sudden food tampering is to stay in the main ballroom for further testing and aide.

"Do you have a room we can go to... Mine is... well its complicated and we won't be alone."

She turns up and looks at me and anger builds in her eyes. She jumps out of my arms and slaps me again. "TYLER JACOB KESSLER did you bring another woman to these events? HOW DARE YOU! You just said you've been searching for me but I guess you haven't been waiting for me. I can't believe you. You are so damn selfish to order me not to reject you yet you already have a luna don't you. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE NERVE YOU HAVE TO--"

This time I kiss her and deeply. Begging her with ever inch of my lips to believe my love for her.

She pulls away again, "Its not like that Mae I promise you I will explain everything but not here. If you haven't noticed there are weird things going on here... " I drop my voice to a wisper that even I could barely hear so i knew no wolf in this building was going to be able to easedrop. "They started back at the pack a few weeks ago and now seem to have followed us here. I can't risk listening ears to hear my theories just yet please Mae. If not for me then for the pack. I think we are all in true danger. I need your help. Please trust me."

"Fine but you better never kiss me again. I don't care what is going on, once you've explain whatever story you've come up with I WILL reject you."

My heart stings at her notion. I nod my head for her to lead the way and I follow her down the hall to the back elevator. We take it all the way up to the penthouse floor and now I'm even more concerned. What is my mate doing staying on the penthouse floor of Alpha Black hotel.

"Alright we are alone explain." she demanded.

"Why are you staying in the penthouse?"

"That is none of you business. We are here for one reason so get talking or I'll just reject you now and be done with it."

"Mae, about a month ago when we got the invites to the warrior games, I began feeling off. Part of me feared it was the Alpha curse. To get my mind off of the stress it was putting on me Logan, my old friend who moved away before you joined the pack and is now my warrior trainer took me to a bar. I had never been before and refused to go to one with him up until that point. I believed I would never find my mate in a place like that. Once we arrived I picked up a scent. I now see it is very similar to yours. Lillies with something sweet but it was almost bitter too. Your is pure and carmelly. Anyways I followed the smell to the parking lot where I just missed the owner as they drove off into the night. Thinking it was my mate my men attempted to track her down. We returned to the bar a week later to find out it was the owners niece. He agreed to invite her there that night. When she arrived I could feel the pull but it wasn't like ours is. It was suddle and faint. when our hands touched it was more like goose bumps or a numbing feeling then the shocks I'm getting with you. She explained she is half wolf and half something else that she did not know and her parents bond started out the same way. Since then we have been trying to build our bond... well I have, she hids in her room all day. I have only kissed her three times-" 'whack' she slaps me across the face again but I shake it off and continue, "Two of those times were on the cheek. Over the course of the two weeks she has been on our land weird unexplainable things have been occurring. children have taken suddenly ill. Alarms going off but no fire. furniture rotting over night... and now today with the coughing fits at the banquet.... Mae Rider knew she wasn't our mate. Or atleast he started to believe she wasn't. This week was to test her and to get her off of the pack grounds. I believe she is behind whatever is going on. Alpha Thorn mentioned to me that she reminds him of the fake mate that Alpha Jonathan introduced him to five years ago. She robbed their pack and disappeared. I need to catch her before she does the same to our pack or any other pack. And now finding you I know without a doubt that she had to have done something to replicate your scent and fake this slight bond feeling. Finding you has erased even the slightest of hope that she could have been telling the truth. You are my fated mate. You and you alone."

Mae steps back from me and goes to sit on an L shaped couch. Shock is in her eyes when suddenly she begins to sob.

"Those poor children, they are hurting all because I was too much a coward to return. I could have prevented all of this had I never left that night. Or had I came back to you after....after..." she cried even more.

I can tell shes been through something but I don't want to force her to tell me. "Mae it's ok you didn't know. You were sixteen when you left you couldn't have known you were my mate. I didn't even know. I had been in love with you since I was twelve but i still didn't know for sure. You were my best friend and I failed you that night, I couldn't give up on trying to find you. Your house is even still just as you left it just incase you or your mom returned."

"Really?"

"Yea I couldn't give up on you. I know this is alot to take in. but would you mind if we bring my men up here. They need to be looped in on whats going on. You can tell me your story privately first or we can wait until you are ready, however long that takes but we need to make a game plan for how we are going to deal with Vicki."
