Chapter 13

Rohesia found herself at the entrance of a village that was located close to a forest with black trees. "I wonder which one of them I'm looking for?" she asked herself strapping the book onto her waist belt before walking into the town and looking around at the people that were either moving or sitting with grim expressions on their faces. "This town must be having rough time" she said looking at them as she noticed most of them looked sick and malnourished. "It isn't anything like the one that was in.. ..." she stopped as she held her head in pain before sighing. "I'm sorry" she told herself feeling the pain lighten up as she continued walking and looking around. "Excuse me miss are you a warrior of some kind?" she heard someone ask her and turned around to see a young boy who was dirty looking at her in amazement.

"I used to be"

"I'm betting it was fun wasn't it?, with all those adventures you had"

"Look kid is there anything I can....." "Hey boy!!!" someone interrupted her and she looked up to see two knights dressed in black heavy armour walking towards them. "You were the one that snuck into our food storage weren't you?" one of them asked whilst picking the boy up by his shirt. "It wasn't..." "Don't you f*****g lie!!! " the knight shouted interrupting him and threw him at building hard. Rohesia looked around but saw that everyone around was ignoring and avoiding what was happening. "Someone told us they saw you busy snooping around it last night" the other knight said as they walked up to the boy who was slowly standing up. "I had to, you knights always take our food leaving us to starve and my little sister hasn't eat..." he was interrupted by one of the knights smacking him hard making him fall down. "You think we give a s**t?" he asked the boy who stood up again and wiped the blood from his mouth. "You worthless commoners have an obligation to give us all the food we need when we say so or else we'll leave the beasts to feed on you" the other knight told the boy. "Do you really want to see that, huh, your whole town being ravaged by beasts?" he asked the boy who clenched his fists in anger. "You guys just say that to hide the fact that you're assholes" he told them making them frown. "Maybe we should teach you a lesson about stealing from us" one of the knights said as he unsheathed his sword and the other one held the boy who started trying to break free from him. "Don't worry it'll just be a scar before you know it" the knight said about to thrust his sword into the boy's shoulder but Rohesia appeared and kicked them both away before catching the boy. "I really didn't want to get involved" she said putting the boy down who looked at her amazed as she watched the knights stand. "This has nothing to do with you stranger" the knight with the unsheathed sword told her as the other one also unsheathed his sword."Well you were about to scar him for life and I couldn't watch you do that" she said and looked at the boy. "Run along now if you don't want to get caught up in this" she told him and he walked away from her. "We're going to teach you a lesson for messing with us" one of the knights said as they rushed towards her and tried attacking her but her eyes started glowing and she dodged their attacks before kicking them away again. "I'm so scared" she said sarcastically before yawning making the knights angrier. "You're f*****g dead!!" one of the knights shouted and rushed towards her. She looked at him and kicked his sword out of his hands and into the sky before holding his head with one hand and smashing it hard into the ground. "You're gonna come at me or what?" she asked catching the sword which dropped from the sky as the other knight looked shocked at his unconscious comrade. "You'll regret this" he said about to run away but Rohesia flipped the sword she was holding and threw it hard at the knight which hit him hard at the back of his helmet with its hilt and he fell to the ground unconscious. "Ya I can't let you go call your friends, don't want more annoyances in my way" she said looking at them as her eyes stopped glowing but then noticed the boy was back and also looked at them whilst standing beside her . "You're strong" the boy said looking at her amazed and she sighed. "You seem resourceful, know where I can put them?" she asked him and he nodded. "There's a barn w..... " he was interrupted by the sound of a bell that rang around the town and Rohesia noticed everyone hurriedly getting into buildings and closing the doors. "What's going on?" she asked the boy she noticed getting closer to her. "It's a warning bell to signify there is an attack happening " he replied her and she noticed several knights riding towards them with their swords unsheathed. "s**t" she said about to get into a fighting position but then someone wearing a black cloak that covered their face whilst wearing red and silver light armoured clothing underneath it rode on a horse from behind them towards the knights. Rohesia noticed the sword the person unsheathed as the person swiftly dodged the knights attacks before killing them making their bodies drop from their horses which then ran away. When the person was finished she looked at Rohesia and the child for a while."Rose!?" the person said surprised and took of the cloak revealing it was Aisha who was older and had short hair with a scar that looked like it came from a sword across one of her eyes. She got off her horse and walked towards her before hugging her. "It's been so long" Aisha said letting go of her but then noticed her hair and eye colour were different. "What happened to your.... ""I'm sorry to tell you but I'm not Rose" Rohesia interrupted her and she looked at her confused. "We've already met before under other conditions but I'm the so called demon that's been living inside her" she told her smiling nervously and Aisha stepped back shocked but then an armoured man rode towards them on a horse . "We've almost completed the liberation of this town commander" the person told Aisha who continued looking at Rohesia, trying to digest what she heard."Commander, are you ok?" the man asked Aisha who shook her head and looked at him. "Ok, I'll be right there " she said mounting her horse and looked at Rohesia sternly as they looked at each other. "I'll find you later " Aisha told her before riding off with the man. "I expected that reaction " Rohesia said watching Aisha ride away. "You know the leader of the liberation front? " the boy asked her and she looked at him confused. "The leader of the liberation front?" she asked him as he took out a wanted poster with Aisha's face on it and gave it to her. "She was once a part of the kingdom's force before she betrayed them and started revolting by liberating town's like ours from their control" he told her and she kept on looking at the poster. "What the f**k is going on around here?" she asked herself giving the poster back to the boy and walking with the boy following close behind her........

Rohesia and the boy came across an army of different armoured people tying up the knights that weren't lying in their own pool of blood on the ground like the others. She then spotted Aisha talking to some of them and walked towards her. "Distribute the food from the food storage equally amongst the people and let the healers look at the ones that may be ill or sick" she instructed them and they left her as Rohesia and the boy reached her. "I told you I'd find you later" she told Rohesia annoyed who followed her as she walked. "Thought I'd save you the trouble of looking" Rohesia said and Aisha stopped and looked at her before looking at the boy. "Whose this?" she asked her and Rohesia sighed. "A kid I saved who doesn't seem to want to leave me alone now" Rohesia replied frowning and the boy smiled at her."Don't you think you're parents are worried about you?"Aisha asked kneeling down in front of him." My parents, aren't here, they never returned after journeying into the forest a couple of years ago leaving me and my sick little sister to survive on our own" he replied her and she looked at him a bit sad. "You didn't have any relatives to look after you?" she asked him and he shook his head."You should go get your sister and take her to one of the healers to try and treat whatever sickness she has" Aisha told him and he looked at Rohesia. "Would you come with me to get her?" he asked her and she frowned. "Look kid I've got more important....."she was interrupted by Aisha hitting her hard on the leg with her elbow and she looked down to see Aisha looking at her annoyed before sighing." Lead the way" Rohesia reluctantly agreed as the boy got excited and started walking but Rohesia stayed with Aisha . "We really don't have time for....." "Well talk when you get back" Aisha interrupted her whilst shoving her towards the direction the boy was walking and she followed him with Aisha shifting her focus back to the army. "So how have you guys been surviving by yourselves after your parents didn't come back?" Rose asked the boy after catching up to him .

"My sister was too weak to move around because of her illness so I usually went out to find food and other things we needed"

"How about the rest of the townsfolk, why didn't they help you guys out?"

"Because of the situation everyone is in its understandable why they couldn't help us, they have their own families to look after"

"For a kid that's a pretty grown up thing to say"

"Tha...." he stopped talking as they saw a house that was a bit further away from the village on fire. "That's our house!!! " the boy told Rohesia before running fast towards it."Wai....Dammit" Rohesia said running after him. They both saw a girl with short black hair and was dirty with ash on parts of her face and clothing crawling from the house."Alice!!!" the boy shouted running towards her but then a giant beast with red glowing eyes and red skin burst out of the house and looked at them. The boy reached Alice and held her in his arms as he looked at the beast. "Leave us alone!!!! " the boy shouted at the beast which opened its mouth and blasted red flames towards them but then Rohesia jumped in front of them with the demonic armour appearing on her and she protected them from the blast. "You just put me in a bad mood" Rohesia said with her armour emitting smoke and her eyes glowing brighter as the beast jumped towards her and tried attacking her but she held it and hit it onto the ground several times before throwing it away. It stood up and shook its head before looking at Rohesia angrily and tried blasting her with flames but she raised her hand and blasted black flames that clashed with its flames but began to overpower them as she walked closer to it. When she reached it she the thrust the hand blasting black flames into its mouth hard and its whole body began burning in black flames except for its head which she ripped off from its body that was still burning until it turned into ash She threw the head down but then heard several roars coming from in front of her and saw several other beasts rushing towards her. "Dammit" Aisha said as she and part of her army reached Alice and the boy. "Get ready to...." she was interrupted by Rohesia who roared loudly without the helmet of her armour on her creating a black wave that pushed all the beasts back. The beasts stood up and looked at Rohesia whose eyes were emitting black aura."Come if you dare" she warned them and all the beasts growled at her before running away but then Rohesia felt a sharp pain in her chest which she ignored. Everyone looked at Rohesia amazed as she walked towards them with her demonic armour disappearing. "Good job" Aisha told her and she shrugged. "It was nothing" she said looking at the boy who was still holding his sister and checking on her...........

Rohesia stood on the door way as she watched a healer heal Alice with her brother holding her hand next to her and Aisha watching before she noticed Rohesia . "Her illness was close to killing her" Aisha told her walking up to her. "If she hadn't gotten healed soon she would've died"

"Lucky we made it in time then" Rohesia said still watching them. "Let's go" Aisha told her walking away and she nodded before looking at them one more time and following Aisha. Aisha led her outside and to a nearby small building in which they entered and saw people from her army strategising with plans on a table in the middle of the room. "Can we have the room please" she told them and they looked at each other and nodded before exiting and closing the door. Aisha sat down on one of the chairs and signaled for Rohesia to sit down also. "First of before we start anything where's Rose?" Aisha asked watching her sit. "She's right here" Rohesia said pointing to her chest which confused Aisha. "When Belcwin took control of her he weakened her soul by exposing it to major psychological harm which she couldn't handle and when she killed her sister it completely shattered it making it go dorment"

"Is there a way to heal her?"

"I have no idea but if I try remenencing about the past that the psychological harm was based on it gets worse"

"So you can't talk about Ev...." she was interrupted by Rohesia holding her head in pain.

"Please don't say her name" she told her panting and Aisha nodded.

"So what are you doing now?"

"The guardian, before he died, told me...."" The guardian is dead!? " Aisha interrupted her shocked." Ya turns out when Belcwin and I imploded that book and it sent us across worlds it would've caused damage to us but the guardian protected us from the damage resulting in his death"

"So how did you talk to him if he was dead?"

"He split a part of himself that I talked to before it disappeared but before it did it told me to find you and Arthur cause Belcwin is still going after Elina's power source"

"Why didn't you go destroy the power source first before finding us?"

"Says the person who believes in the friends first logic "she said annoyed.

"I'm friends with Rose, not you, so why?" Aisha asked sternly.

"I don't know ok the guardian told me to get you guys first for some weird f*****g reason and the book seems to be following what he said"

"I thought the book was destroyed?"

"He made a copy, now can we go find Arthur and get this over with so I can find a way to get Rose to come back out"

"Why, I mean it benefits you if she doesn't come out"

"My reasons are mine and mine alone ok"Rohesia told her sternly and Aisha looked at her suspicious before thinking for a while.

"I can't go now" Aisha told her confusing her.

"Why not!?"

"This world still needs help"

"You heard what I said right, it won't matter if Belcwin gets the symbol and then the source of power"

"Look we didn't abandon the vampire world when it was in danger and you better believe I'm not leaving this world until we've helped it"

"That's because we had an advantage on Elina that we already had the symbol but this is completely different"

"My mind was made up years ago, I'm not leaving this world as it is " Aisha told her making Rohesia become a bit agitated.

"Fine if you wanna stay you can stay" Rohesia said taking the book and opening it before pouring her aura into it but then words appeared on a page.

You can't leave without Aisha

"You've got to be joking" she said annoyed before sighing and angrily reattaching the book.

"What's wrong?"

"It won't let me go without you" she complained and saw Aisha grinning which irritated her.

"Guess you're gonna have to help me after all"

"Or I can force you to come with me " Rohesia said with her eyes glowing and Aisha touched her sword. "It didn't say I couldn't go with you unconscious"

"You wouldn't" Aisha said as they looked at each other for a while before Rohesia flew with her out of the building and into the night sky before throwing her hard out of the town. Aisha turned around before hitting the ground and stuck her sword into the ground as she slid with it using her feet until she stopped. "Give up you know you can't beat me" Rohesia told her floating down but Aisha just pulled her sword out of the ground and held it tightly. "Are you sure about that?" she asked as her eyes started glowing and turned white before a wave of white aura surrounded her and when it disappeared she was wearing her dragon scale armour that was more detailed and had wings and a tail. Aisha flew up to Rohesia who blocked using both her hands as Aisha slashed her hard with her sword that created a wave of white aura making Rohesia fly back a bit. "That stung" Rohesia said looking her bleeding hands which were healing from the attack. "If it wasn't for Rose being in there it would've done more than just stung" Aisha told her making her smile as her demonic armour appeared on her. "Oh really" she said flying towards her and they started fighting in the air. Rohesia covered her hands in black aura as she blocked Aisha's sword attacks before grabbing her tail to swing her away but then the tail wrapped around her arm and aura spikes erupted out of it going through Rohesia' armour and into her hand. Rohesia grunted whilst looking at the black blood that was starting to drip down before Aisha spun her around and threw her hard onto the ground. "I see you've gotten better at using that thing" Rohesia said standing after her helmet disappeared and looking at her wounds that began to heal with the armour repairing itself. "This isn't gonna end well so it's better we just stop" Aisha told her flying down and landing on the ground. Rohesia smiled before raising both her hands and blasting Aisha with a large blast of black aura. Aisha' sword surrounded itself in white aura before she clashed it against the blast trying to push it back. She yelled as the armour on her arms broke off before slashing the sword hard which sent a wave through the blast that hit Rohesia but by doing so allowed Rohesia's blast to hit her as well resulting in both of them being pushed back. They panted as Rohesia looked at the s***h that broke through her armour leaving a line across her body flowing out black blood and Aisha looked at her armour that had some parts of it broken off with blood dripping down from her hands. Rohesia was about to rush up to her but then felt a sudden sharp pain in her chest that stopped her. She then looked at Aisha who slowly raised her sword ready to continue fighting and she sighed. "Guess we'll do it your way then" she said as her armour disappeared and touched her blood before it vaporized and the wound healed itself. Aisha looked at her confused for a while before sheathing her sword with her armour disappearing. "Why the sudden change of heart?" Aisha asked as Rohesia walked towards her. "Let's just say I was moved by your determination to fight to stay on this world and save it" Rohesia told her making her frown. "OK cut the s**t what actually changed your mind?" Aisha asked her but then suddenly felt weak and almost fell down but Rohesia caught her."I'm serious" she replied as they looked at each other with Rohesia helping her to stand. "What's going on here!?" they heard someone ask as they looked up to see some people from Aisha's army rushing towards them from the town whilst holding lamps. "We just had a small argument but it's all sorted now" Rohesia said as one of them took Aisha from her. "This doesn't look like it was small argument!! " the one holding Aisha shouted at Rohesia after looking at how Aisha was before they all looked at her angrily whilst touching their weapons but then Rohesia started cracking her knuckles. "You really want to try me? " she asked scaring them as she looked at them sternly with her eyes glowing but then Aisha held up her hand. "She's right it was just a small argument we had" she told them making them all look at her."For now I just need to be healed"

"Ok commander" the person holding her said as they walked with her to the town leaving Rohesia alone. Rohesia touched her chest whilst closing her eyes and felt her power before she stopped and sighed. "I can still do this" she told herself clenching her fist before following the others back into town...........
