Chapter 14

"Because of something that has come up we're gonna have to move up our infiltration attack on the kingdom " Aisha, who had bandages on parts of her body, said the next day addressing some people from her army including Rohesia in the same building with battle plans that still had a hole in its roof. "To when?" one of them asked as confused as the others. "Sunrise tomorrow" she replied surprising everyone. "Are you sure I mean.....""The longer we wait the longer other towns and their people will suffer" she interrupted the person who was talking."Look we've planned and made changes for years making sure there were no holes in our plan and now it's time to put it into action" she told them and they looked at each other.

"She's right" one of them spoke up and they looked at him. "Continuing to free towns is pointless because the kingdom's army can easily take them back if they want to just like they did a few years back without us even having a fighting chance against them"

"Look guys I know you think I'm rushing you but we've been delaying doing this plan for too long and if we don't do it now then when are we gonna do it ?" she asked them and they looked at each other and nodded. "You're right, let's do this " one of them said and Aisha smiled. "You guys go tell the others, I need to talk to her for a while" she said looking at Rohesia who was listening whilst standing and leaning on a wall. "You guys won't have another 'small argument' right?" one of them asked both Rohesia and Aisha. "No promises" Rohesia said smiling making Aisha sigh and she looked at them. "Don't worry we won't" she reassured them and they nodded before leaving them alone. "I really hope you know what you're doing" Rohesia told her sitting down.

"I thought of all people you would totally be on board cause of how much you want to leave"

"I just don't want to see them pointlessly lose their lives"

"They won't because this plan will work"

"Whatever you say" Rohesia sarcastically said making Aisha frown."Well since I'm now along for the ride why don't you tell me what happened to you on your time in this world?"

"I don't want to talk about it"

"Come on don't....." "I said I don't want to talk about it" Aisha angrily interrupted her as she hit the table and Rohesia looked at her suspicious for a while. "Fine then so why are we fighting against the kingdom?"

"The kingdom of this world exploits towns in exchange for giving them protection against beasts that widely populate the forest and attack the towns but they're exploitation leaves the townsfolk without enough food for themselves or resources to sell and if they fall short of what the kingdom requires they are left defenceless against beast attacks "

"So you want to change the way they run things but how are you gonna do that ? "

"By getting into the capital and overthrowing the king"

"You do know that'll mean going through a lot of people right?"

"We've had someone working in the inside of the palace in the capital for a couple of years now and she's secured a route for us to enter and subdue the king when his alone"

"And what if she's been feeding you false information?"

"She hasn't, after agreeing to work with us she put a curse on herself which kills her if she ever tries to betray us"

"Wow, that's a bit extreme don't you think? "

"We couldn't take any chances"

"But just subduing the king doesn't mean you'll have control you do know that right?"

"In this world those that are able to kill the king and possess his crown are the ones that'll now be in control but because of how much his strength is feared and how well he is guarded no one has tried "

"You think you can take him on?"

"I've seen his power in action and I know it won't be easy but you have to understand I've got to defeat him myself"

"What kind of power does he have?"

"His power allows him to grow stronger by consuming the bodies of strong enemies or people"

"That's..... disgusting"

"He was able to get as strong as he is by poisoning or letting someone kill strong opponents for him and then consume the bodies but if he doesn't consume them before a certain time period he won't be able to acquire any power from it"

"This bastard seriously needs to die but I've gotta ask, how long have you been on this world for?"

"Ten years"

"That long huh"

"Ya" Aisha said and Rohesia noticed she looked a bit depressed but said nothing. "I remember when we first met you referred to yourself 'the so called demon', so you're saying you aren't one?"

"It's a long story but basically I used to be human"

"You used to be human, how..." "Well just like you said earlier I don't want to talk about it" Rohesia interrupted her and Aisha frowned.

"Look if that's all I'm gonna go out for a bit"

"We meet sundown at the north edge of the forest" Aisha told her and Rohesia waved her hand to show she heard her as she walked out. Rohesia looked around at the townsfolk that seemed to have more energy and were in higher spirits than before."Really hope this plan doesn't go to s**t" she said walking and looking around. "Lady!!!" she heard someone shout and turned around to see the boy and his sister who both looked clean with them wearing new clothes running towards her. "Great it's you again" she said annoyed before they reached her."I just wanted to say thank you for saving me and my sister" he told her smiling and she sighed. "It was nothing kid and besides I'm pretty sure you should be mostly thanking the liberation whatever you call them for saving your sister from her illness " she told them but then the sister rushed up to her and hugged her which caught her by surprise. "Nevertheless you're still the one that gave me the chance to be healed by saving me from that beast" she said and looked up to her. "Thank you"

"Like I said it was nothing" she said as the girl stopped hugging her and took out a bracelet with different colored rocks on it. "I want you to have this" she said handing it to her. "I really can't...." she stopped as she looked at the girl's face for a while before reaching out her hand to allow her to put it on. "Neat" she said looking at it and saw the girl's face fill with excitement and joy. "We've got to go, they said we can't be late" the boy told his sister after walking up to her. "Go where?" Rohesia asked confused. "Ohhh the liberation front found us a new family and we're meeting them today" the boy told her taking his sister's hand."Hope we'll see you soon" he said as he ran with his sister who waved goodbye to Rohesia. Rohesia held up her hand to look at the bracelet which glimmered in the sun before she continued walking..........

Rohesia walked to Aisha later that evening who was waiting at the edge of the forest with a few people from her army as they all wore dark cloaks whilst holding lamps. "Took you long enough" Aisha said throwing her a cloak which she caught."This is all we're going with?" she asked looking at them as she put on the cloak. "Ya it's much easier to go with a few people and just in case we actually fail, there will still be those that won't stop fighting" Aisha replied nodding to one of them who took out a glowing stone and threw it to the ground hard before it turned into dust. Suddenly a giant symbol appeared underneath them and went up making them disappear. They symbol then made them appear in a dark tunnel and they saw glowing signs that lit a path."Let's go" Aisha said following the signs and the others followed her. "Reminds me of the vampire's tunnels" Rohesia said looking around as they continued following the signs. "How do you know about...."" I could see everything Rose could see" Rohesia interrupted her before they reached a staircase where the symbols stopped which led up. "Alright remember the king's guards won't be with him since he'll be talking with his advisor so we only have a small time frame to do this" Aisha told them before one by one they went up the ladder and Aisha who was in front opened the hatch she found at the end of the ladder which allowed her to emerge into a giant hallway. When they all got through she quickly closed the secret passage and they moved very fast until they reached a giant door which was guarded by a couple of heavy armoured knights which they hid from. "Take care of them" Aisha told her people and they rushed towards the knights and quickly disposed of them. "Try to give us as much time as you can out here if anyone comes" she said walking past them with Rohesia to the door. Aisha unsheathed her sword and her dragon armour appeared on her before she kicked the door open. "Welcome back Aisha" a very muscular man wearing royal clothing and a gold crown said smiling whilst sitting on a giant throne with a man who was kneeling in front of him looking at them shocked as the door behind them closed. "Let's finish this" Aisha said jumping towards him but then he flicked one of his fingers that shot a ball of aura which hit and pushed her back but she managed to land on her feet. "All according to plan" he said grinning and both Roheasia and Aisha looked at him confused before the door burst open pushing them back a bit. "Hello there" a man who was wearing black light armour with a cloak said accompanied by a woman with short silver hair who was wearing silver and black light armour which also had a cloak as they walked past the bloody deceased bodies of Aisha's comrades. "Who the hell are these guys?" Rohesia asked Aisha as they walked back slowly. "The two top generals from his army" Aisha replied looking at them. "They weren't supposed to be here"

"Your plan to corner me alone and defeat me could've worked , well that is if you were to actually defeat me, if it wasn't for an acquitance of yours that told me about the little friend you implanted here who, after a while of negotiation and removing that curse on her, told us all about your plan" the king told them and Rohesia looked at Aisha who started to look troubled."An acquitance of ours? " Aisha asked herself trying to make sense of what she heard." "You can contemplate about that all you want in the dungeon, I'll come absorb you two later when I'm done fixing the issues you've caused with my towns" the king said nodding to the generals who bowed before looking at both Aisha and Rohesia . "It's best you don't resist" the female general said touching her sheathed sword. "You really think we won't?" Rohesia asked with her eyes glowing but when she was about to move the female general unsheathed her sword a bit using her thumb and dozens of aura swords appeared around Rohesia. Rohesia slid her finger a bit along the closest blade which made her bleed. "I really hoped they were just an illusion" Rohesia said watching her finger heal. "Let's just do what they say" Aisha said sheathing her sword as her dragon armour disappeared and she raised her hands. "f**k that I say we take them on" Rohesia said releasing a wave of black aura that broke all the aura blades but then the blades quickly reconstructed themselves and deeply cut Rohesia around her body making her fall on one knee. She looked at the blood dripping down from her wounds before looking at the woman who still had the blades surrounding her. "We can't take them all on when they're together like this" Aisha told Rohesia watching her stand as her wounds healed themselves with her clothing repairing itself. Rohesia frowned as her eyes stopped glowing and the male general raised his hand which poured aura that created aura chains around Aisha and Rose's hands and legs. "Those towns won't go down without a fight" Aisha told the king as they were being led out by the female general. "Good, I would love to crush their spirits a second time" the king said to Aisha whilst smiling wickedly as he watched them being led out.......

"This.... fucking.... sucks" Rohesia said as she and Aisha sat in a dungeon cell that had multiple glowing symbols on it that weakened Rohesia and Aisha's sword. "Who could've betrayed us?" Aisha asked herself. "Guess someone doesn't like you as much as you thought" Rohesia told her whilst playing with a little faint ball of aura she emitted before looking into the cell in front of them that had the corpse of a chained up woman which had multiple torture scars around it and was wearing a maid outfit that was torn and dirty with blood still dripping down from it. "That wasn't supposed to happen to her" Aisha said looking at the corpse angrily. "So.... what now?" Rohesia asked Aisha before making the small ball of aura disperse."I don't know" Aisha told her standing up and pacing around the cell. "Of course you don't" Rohesia said standing and looking around before she heard Aisha hitting one of the walls hard. "All those years of planning..... gone in an instant" Aisha angrily said repeatedly punching the wall harder. "I'm so stupid thinking this would actually work "

Rohesia turned and looked at her for a while as she watched her continue to hit the wall until her knuckles started bleeding and she sat on the ground. "You were right people are going to pointlessly lose their lives and it's gonna be all my fault because I failed them" Aisha told Rohesia whilst looking at her bleeding knuckles as Rohesia sighed before sitting down next to her and looking at the ceiling. "In my world I was a powerful commander when I was human" Rohesia said making Aisha look at her confused. "My army and I vanquished all forms of evil that came into our path or tried to ruin the peace in our kingdom"

"Why are you telling me......."

"Would you shut the f**k up so I can continue?" Rohesia asked looking at her annoyed and Aisha nodded."Because I had grown too overconfident of my army and my power it clouted my judgment on a plan I was formulating to raid the source of all demons on our world so as to end their threat to us once and for all" Rohesia looking back at the ceiling before laughing a bit. "What a fool I was to not have noticed that the knight in my army who I had sent to survey their lands and pin point where we could rest before attacking them was infected with a mind worm that made him lead us directly into an ambush"

"That must've been horrible"

"Watching my army being out numbered and overpowered by demons which killed them brutally, no it was lovely" Rohesia said laughing as Aisha looked at her concerned."The demons decided to keep me for a while for fun and day by day tortured me over and over again and just before I died they banished my soul to the dark world of power were all that anger and frustration transformed me into the demon you knew and loved"

"Wow" Aisha said shocked. "I..... I didn't know"

"Of course you didn't dumbass I never told you" Rohesia said tapping her shoulder before standing up."But just cause we f****d up doesn't mean we have to stop moving"

"Ya" Aisha said standing up with her and looking around."So I'll ask again, what now?" Rohesia asked Aisha who shrugged. "Still got nothing, you thought inspiring me was gonna give me a plan "Aisha said laughing." It was worth a shot" Rohesia said continuing to look around. Suddenly the symbols around them disappeared and Rohesia began to feel her strength coming back to her. "What's going on?" Rohesia asked Aisha as the cell door opened.The female general from earlier appeared in front of the door before pouring aura from her hand that surrounded the book with Rohesia. "What the f**k are you doing!?" Rohesia asked her as she tried to stop her but the general dodged and continued pouring her aura. "Making sure the person who told us you were coming doesn't do it again" she told her before stopping as her aura surrounding the book hardened and both Aisha and Rohesia looked at her confused. "What are you talking about?" Rohesia asked her. "The day before you infiltrated the castle a person made of dark purple aura appeared in front of us and transmitted everything you were saying through that book" the general told them as she started walking and both Aisha and Rohesia looked at each other before following her. "Dark purp.... Belcwin" Rohesia said annoyed before taking the book and looking at it. "In return for the information he gave us he just wanted us to kill you both and also destroy that book" the general told them. "I don't get it, how was he able to use the book to get transmit the information of our plan?" Aisha asked Rohesia who strapped the book back onto her waist. "I don't know but we'll worry about that later, why are you helping us?" Rohesia asked the general who stopped them as she watched the guards guarding the stairs that led out of the dungeon.She then quickly rushed up to and swiftly knocked them out with hard kicks to the head."Cause I've been on your side from the very beginning" she told Rohesia before walking up the stairs. "Should we trust her?" Rohesia asked Aisha who thought for a while before sighing. "For now it seems like we don't have a choice" Aisha replied as she followed the general with Rohesia following behind her..........
