Chapter 15

"How could they let this happen!!!" the king angrily shouted as he looked at the open empty cell which had held Aisha and Rohesia the previous night."The two guards who were found unconscious said that Kendra came last night and broke them out" the male general said standing behind him."Kendra!!?" the king shouted swinging the cell door shut hard making it detach and go through a wall."Why would she betray me!?"

"It seems you couldn't uphold our agreement" they heard a voice say with the cell darkening and dark purple aura appeared in the centre of it in the form of Belcwin's body. "I would've if it wasn't for one of my general's betraying me" the king told him clenching his fist in anger."This time when we find them we're going to destroy them without fail"

Belcwin sighed before raising his aura hand which emitted more aura that spun around before it turned into a compass. "This might help" he said tossing it to the king who caught and looked at it. "They may have stopped me from transmitting sound but not location " he told them as the king tossed it to the general. "Prepare the army to move" the king told him and he bowed before leaving. "You never did tell me why you want us to destroy that book including Aisha and her black haired friend?" the king asked Belcwin. "To cut a long story short that book's existence seems to be preventing me from fulfilling my ultimate goal and if those two are left unchecked even after the book is destroyed they can become a bigger problem in the future" Belcwin replied and the king looked at him curiously for a while.

"What ultimate goal?"

"Maybe I'll keep that to myself for now" Belcwin replied grinning making the king frown. "For now just make sure you destroy them this time" Belcwin told him before he and the darkness surrounding the cell dispersed."Maybe there's something more to that book than his telling me" the king told himself as he walked.......

"You know anything about her?" Rohesia asked Aisha as they ran in the forest of black trees during dark with the female general following behind them whilst they each held lanterns. "Only that her name is Kendra and she joined the kingdom's army five years ago" Aisha said looking back at Kendra who watched them as she followed. "People have known her to be real quiet and to mostly keep to herself and when she became a general she was the one the king relied on finding those conspiring against him in the shadows including her power on the battlefield"

"See this makes me question more why she's helping us" Rohesia said stopping and turning around to face Kendra. "Saying 'I've been on your side from the very beginning' really doesn't explain everything you know" Rohesia told Kendra who stopped and looked at her. "What's your real reason for helping us?"

"If helping you escape wasn't enough to convince you I'm on your side then fine I'll tell you my reason, its because it's time I free this kingdom of the king's rule and also get revenge for my brother's death who, if you hadn't been told, was your friend's husband to be" Kendra replied shocking Rohesia who looked at Aisha who was looking at Kendra surprised. "You're....but that's impossible he didn't have a.....""He didn't tell you about me because I convinced him not to as I didn't trust you as much as he did" Kendra interrupted her and Aisha continued looking at her in shock before shaking her head. "No everyone belonging to his family has....." "These type of eyes" Kendra interrupted her again as her eyes turned from silver to a bright beautiful blue for a while and then back to silver. "I've been using my aura to keep them hidden" Kendra said looking at Aisha who was now speechless and sighed."Look to keep it short because of a tradition in our family our mother was only supposed to bear male children and when I was born they wanted to make sure my existence was never recognized or made public by killing me but then one of the maids stood up to them and convinced them to give me to her so she can raise me as her own child"

"So how did he know about you?" Aisha asked her. "I'm getting to that, unlike my other brothers who were glad I wasn't tarnishing the beloved house name by being disowned he made sure to keep close contact with me secretly throughout the years and eventually helped me get into the kingdom's army" Kendra replied and looked at Aisha. " I knew my brother well and I know he would never betray the kingdom unless it was for a good reason and when the king told us both of you were traitors I knew something was wrong"

"So why did you stay with the king if you knew something was wrong ?"

"Because the king was able to influence me to see you guys as traitors like he wanted to and dismis my thought of something being wrong but the longer I stayed in his service the more I finally realized why my brother stood up against him, so I started plotting against him behind the scenes for the past two years waiting for my moment" Kendra replied before looking down and clenching her fists. "I've killed and led so many people that may have been fighting for the right cause to their deaths, but I made a promise that I'll make sure their will to see a better kingdom comes to light"

"We will" Aisha said after walking up to her and touching her shoulder. "This is a lot to process for me" Rohesia said making them look and watch her trying to process everything she heard. "And you know what you told us doesn't mean you were with us from the very beginning right?"

"Ya you got a point, poor choice of words on my part" Kendra replied quickly touching her sword and unsheathing it a bit with several aura blades appeared and swiftly killed beasts that were surrounding them in the shadows. "Sorry the shock from your story made the aura I was producing to scare them off weaken " Rohesia said looking at the bodies of the beasts Kendra had killed."We better continue heading to the town where I left the army I command, by now I'm pretty sure the king is gonna look for us whilst dismantling the freedom I've given several towns from his control" Aisha said about to move but Rohesia grabbed her shoulder to stop her." Hold on a f*****g second" Rohesia said turning her around so she faced her. "Now it's your turn to tell your story"

"What the hell are you talking ab....""Shut up!!!" Rohesia interrupted her angrily."I've told you my story and she's told you her story so you better believe we're hearing your story also so I can put the final f*****g pieces of your past on this world"

"Are you serious right now?" Aisha asked annoyed but saw Rohesia wasn't joking as she nodded."I hate to say it even though we don't have time but I'd like to hear it as well" Kendra said looking at Aisha who looked at them for a while before sighing. "When I got transported to this world ten years ago I was saved and taken in by a noble family that had found me unconscious in a forest in which I was about to be attacked by beasts"

"Wait so you mean you aren't actually from the Rahez nobility but instead from another world?"Kendra asked her." Yes, After two years of being with them I thought it would be best to get stronger until the day my friends came for me so they concluded that it would be best for me to join the kingdom army to get stronger and helped me by managing to get me documents that verified me as a member of their family so I could register to join"Aisha replied her."During those three years of training in the army before I became a general I met someone sweet, generous and kind who later on found a special place in my heart, your brother, Kamau"

"Wait I've got one question before we continue" Rohesia said getting closer to Aisha to hold both her shoulders and looked into her eyes sternly. "Did you lose your virginity to him?"

Aisha looked at her for a while confused before angrily hitting Rohesia hard making her crash through a tree. "Anyway if I may continue" Aisha said annoyed as she calmed herself with Rohesia standing up as a wound on her head healed."We both got chosen by the king to be generals together and a year after he proposed to me and I accepted",Aisha looked down sadly, "For a while I hoped Rose and the others would take a longer time coming for me as I was truelly happy with him and the life I had been living, but that all changed four years ago when Kamau and I found out the true nature of the king"

"What happened to you guys after that?" Kendra asked Aisha who had kept quiet for a while.

"We were foolish enough to think we could confront him on our own and when he did we were no match for him as he trampled both of us with his general who later on forced me to watch as the king, after beating him until all his bones were broken, devoured Kamau limb after limb until all that was left were his clothes and blood"

"s**t"Rohesia said feeling bad for her a bit and looked at Kendra who couldn't contain her anger as she clenched her fists hard whilst fuming with her aura repeatedly emitting out of her in large amounts and dispersing."How did you manage to escape?"

"Because of this" Aisha replied looking at her sword which she held tightly. "Because of the rage of my emotions a hidden power within this sword was unleashed into me that allowed me to escape from them but because of using it whilst I wasn't ready for it my body was severely damaged in the process"

"He'll pay" Kendra said whilst still fuming with anger but her aura stopped emitting out of her. "Don't worry we'll make sure of it, now if we're done with this nonsense can we keep moving so that we reach the town before day break and before the king finds out we're gone" Aisha said starting to run with Kendra following behind her but Rohesia stayed behind for a while. "Doesn't being proposed to mean she got a ring ?" Rohesia asked herself thinking but did not remember seeing Aisha wearing one on any of her fingers. "If so I wonder what happened to it" she said before running after them........

Rohesia opened her eyes and found herself on a land engulfed in black flames with a red aura form of Rose sitting in the middle of it but was being surrounded by red transperent walls and red flames."Still feeling sorry for yourself I see" Rohesia said walking towards her but stopped when she reached the wall. She touched it and tried pushing it but it had no effect. "Come on Rose I know you know what's happening to me the longer I'm in control of your body so you need to come back to help your friends" Rohesia told her but Rose did not reply. "Are you even listening to me!?" Rohesia asked her annoyed as she started punching the transperent wall repeatedly with black flames surrounding her fists."No" she heard the aura form of Rose say as Rohesia was flung away by a huge force making her angry. "Coward!!!! " Rohesia shouted and she saw the aura form of Rose moved her head a bit from her remark but put it back down before the land and her disappeared and Rohesia woke up in a bed. She looked around the room she was in and sighed before getting out of bed and stretching."She's not getting any better" she told herself putting on her clothes and walking to the door. "Until then I guess I'm gonna have to keep moving" she said opening the door to see Aisha and Kendra along with some other people discussing around a table."The way I see it they're going to these villages which are closest to the kingdom" she said pointing on the some of the markings of the map that was on the table."Meaning his going to arrive here after two days at most"

"That means during those two days we have to focus on preparing to intercept him" Aisha said looking at the map before noticing Rohesia who was watching them and they all looked at her."Dont mind me you can continue" Rohesia told them and they continued discussing their plans. "At this rate I wonder how much of my power I'll be able to exert out of myself during this battle?" Rohesia asked herself looking at her hand before her stomach growled."But first lemme focus on...." her thought was interrupted by a tired, panting man bursting into the room using the door. "The king and his army have been seen heading this way" he told them and they all looked at him surprised except Rohesia who sighed. "But that's impossible unless..." "Unless he knows we're here and is coming after us directly" Aisha said finishing Kendra's sentence."How long will it take until they reach the town?"

"A few hours at most" he replied her and she nodded."Tell everyone in the army to prepare themselves for battle and those who can fight in this town to join them as well" Aisha told the people who nodded and quickly rushed out leaving her alone with Kendra and Rohesia."Come on we haven't even had that much time to rest" Rohesia complained and they looked at her. "Says the person who loves fighting" Aisha said smirking and Rohesia looked at her before growling. "Just cause I like fighting doesn't mean I don't need rest as well" Rohesia told her. "Anyway I wonder how he knew where we were?" Aisha asked them. "It must be the book" Kendra replied looking at it. "I may have been able to make sure no one listens in on us but that doesn't mean it still can't be used for other things like transmitting our location, we should've destroyed it "

"Along with our way of traveling through worlds, I don't think so" Rohesia told her touching the book. "Well there's nothing we can do about it now so we better start preparing for battle" Aisha told them. "Before we do that I take it you still want to fight the king alone?" Rohesia asked Aisha who nodded. "I can't let you do that" Kendra said and they looked at her. "I want justice for my brother as well and we both know you can't take on the king yourself"

"I guess you've got a point" Aisha said looking at Rohesia. "So all that's left for you is to take on his general, Duncan"

"What's the deal with him anyway?"

"That's the thing, we don't know much about his power cause when we're sent on tasks by the king he doesn't allow for two or more generals to go on one task together as a way to improve ourselves he says but when I fought him he only managed to overpower me because I was already over exerted by my fight with the king but I didn't see him using any aura at the time"

"So I'm fighting someone who I have no idea what their aura is capable of" Rohesia said sighing. "Pretty much" Kendra said and Rohesia smiled. "Doesn't matter it's not like I have faced opponents whilst knowing what they can do with their aura all the time" Rohesia said hitting her fist into the palm of her other hand before looking and pointing both of them."Oh and also I don't want to hear any whining for my help whislt you're fighting against the king"

"We won't" they both said in sync whilst annoyed and looked at each other surprised. "Alright then now if you'll excuse me I have to feed the monster which is my stomach so I'll l be off" Rohesia said waving to them as she exited the room. "You really think we can take on the king ourselves?" Kendra asked Aisha who looked at her. "I'm pretty sure last time you saw him exert his power is nothing compared to what he has now"

"As long as we work together I believe we can take him" Aisha told her and she smiled before standing up. "Oh and by the way" she said stopping as she was about to exit the room and looked at Aisha who looked at her.

"What is it?"

"Can I see it?"

"See what?"

"The ring of course" Kendra replied and Aisha looked at her for a while. "My brother said he got it made from the finest jewels he could find but I never did really get the chance to see it and I haven't seen you wearing it at all, did you perhaps lo....""I have it" Aisha interrupted her unsheathing her sword and moved her hand which went into the center of the sword's handle and where it connected with the sword before pulling out a ring and showing it to Kendra who looked at it amazed. "Why haven't you been wearing it?" Kendra asked Aidha who looked at the ring and sighed."Because it hasn't felt right ever since he died" she told her holding the ring in her hand before putting it back where she had taken it and sheathing her sword. "Knowing my brother he would've wanted for you to continue wearing it even after his death" Kendra told her as she walked out of the room leaving Aisha alone. Aisha looked at her hand which suddenly started shifting from bloody to unbloody and looked up to see herself in bloody broken armour with several bad injuries around her whilst clenching her sword with one of her hands as she was being held down by Duncan. They watched the king laughing with his face covered in blood as he held up a person who was bleeding heavily from where his arms and legs used to be in a badly damaged throne room. "Guess it's time I finish this one and go for the next course" the king said throwing the person up as he opened his mouth that widened and Aisha watched in horror whilst trying to escape from Duncan's hold but before the person completely went into the kings' mouth she saw him smiling at her. "We'll stop him" Aisha said as she stopped remembering and clenched her fist. "I promise"..........
