The Seraphic Paragon

I was creeping through the castle slowly. I just couldn't do this anymore. I had to get away. Voices could be heard down the hall that caused me to cling to the wall. I closed my eyes, praying they wouldn’t hear or see me. Finally the voices passed, and I started walking again. My eyes darted around furiously in the dimly lit hall, ready for whatever may come. I held my breath as I crept towards the library. The light was on. My father and mother were in there talking. “What are we supposed to do?” Mother hissed. “We have to keep her hidden,” Father sighed. “Maybe we have to take her somewhere else.” “She’s already miserable here. She’s locked in here like a captive. Shunned from the world like a secret.” “If Samael finds her he will kill her.” “What if she’s strong enough to take him? Did you think of that?” Mother questioned. “She’s stronger than you think she is.” “She’s so young,” Father shook his head. “If something happened to her, I don’t know what I would do. She’s my little girl.” “She’s not a little girl anymore, honey. We can’t keep doing this to her. She deserves a life.” “If she goes out there, there will be no life. He will murder her. He will take her powers and he will rule the world. She is the only thing standing in the way of total world dominance.” I was shaking. This was new information to me. I didn’t have a clue that Samael could take my powers. I just thought that he would kill me. I was okay with that. Death was better than this beautiful prison. But my death meant that he could take over the world. Everyone else would suffer. I couldn’t let that happen. Even though I hated it, I turned around and went back to my room. I would stay here for the rest of my life. I hated these dreams. I had been having them for a few days and it made me nervous. Who was this Sela woman? How could I help her? I wondered where her castle resided. Maybe she’s my next charge! Or was supposed to be. Maybe me taking so long with Enzo was making it so she was suffering. I hoped she could hold off for another two months. Just stay in her castle and I would come and help her. If I could succeed with Enzo, I could do anything. “Celine, I need advice!” Mira hissed at breakfast. “Alpha Enzo kind of…asked me out.” “Really?” I perked up. “Yes, tonight in his chambers! What do I do?” “Why are you asking me?” “Hello? You’re like the love guru. You know about all of these things.” I really didn’t. I had never been on a date and everything I knew about dating was what I learned from my charges. Unfortunately they were all severely toxic and probably shouldn’t even be in relationships, if we’re being honest. “Um, just be yourself? Ask Alpha Enzo a lot of questions and don’t sleep with him. He’ll lose interest after that.” Mira nodded. “Can you do my makeup and help me pick out an outfit?” “Of course,” I smiled. -- I knocked eagerly on Enzo’s door. He opened the door, shirtless like usual. “Yes, Celine?” “You have a date!” I jumped on him, hugging him tightly. Enzo hugged me back. “I told you I would try.” “Thank you so much, you’re the best!” As I pulled away, there was a soft thud on the ground. A towel. My eyes couldn’t help landing on his crotch. Holy heaven so that’s what it looks like! I had never actually seen it. I’d seen Enzo naked from the back and his round supple butt, but never his p***s. Does that actually fit inside of a woman? “Liking the view, are you Celine?” Enzo questioned. I slammed my hands over my eyes. “I um…I didn’t mean to do that!” “Why are you covering your eyes like you haven’t seen it before?” “I haven’t!” I snapped “I’m an angel we don’t usually gaze upon p*****s!” “Well you definitely gazed upon mine and you seemed to like it,” He chuckled. “Can you please just cover up?” “Alright it’s done.” Slowly I pulled my hands away and the towel was secure around Enzo’s waist once more. “Make sure you don’t show your p***s to Mira tonight, please.” I stated. He rolled his eyes. “You’re no fun. But fine. It will be a pleasant little date and I’ll hold her hand and say sweet s**t to her.” “Thank you.” “Don’t get too excited, you have homework tonight.” “What?” “There’s something I need you to look up tonight. The Seraphic Paragon.” I nodded. “Alright…can Grey read with me?” “Um, sure why not?” I smiled. “I will find out everything that I can.” “Thank you Celine,” He opened his arms for me to hug him. I almost obliged until I thought about his towel falling again. “Maybe we should hug once you’re fully clothed.” “You angels are no fun.” -- “What do you think they’re doing?” I asked Grey. “Having s*x?” “No, they can’t be. I specifically told Enzo not to try to seduce Mira and I told Mira not to sleep with him.” “Why are you so involved? Do you have a crush on Alpha Enzo?” “Why the heaven would you think that?” I asked. Grey chuckled. “What?” “I like…I like the way you say heaven instead of hell. I think it’s cute. You’re cute.” He smiled. “Thank you, Grey. I think you are very handsome.” His green eyes sparked at my words as he pushed his dark red hair back, even though it fell on his forehead once more. “I like that we’re spending more time together,” “Me too. Now get to reading.” I teased. “Yes, ma’am.” I skimmed through my book almost absently. I couldn’t exactly focus. I wanted to know how the date was going. Was Enzo being kind? Was Mira being confident? Did they actually have something to talk about? “Celine, are you okay?” Grey asked. “I can’t stop thinking about the date,” I admitted. “I just want this to go right. I want Enzo to find love and for Mira to be happy.” “You’re a good person,” “Oh I’m an angel.” “I believe it….wanna look through his back window and see what they’re doing?” “Really?” I smiled. “Yeah, but then we have to come back and read. Enzo will be mad as…heaven if we don’t do it.” Grey winked at me. I giggled as he took my hand and pulled me out the back door. We crept two chambers over and slowly peered into the window. I couldn’t help but smile. Enzo had done well! There was dim lighting for candles and I saw a bouquet of roses on the table. He had listened. Mira and Enzo sat on the couch drinking and talking. They looked rather cozy. “Looks like it’s going well,” Grey stated. “It really does.” I should be more excited, but there was an odd nagging feeling in the back of my head. Maybe it was anxiety. I needed this to be perfect and if it wasn’t that was the end of me. So I wasn’t eager to take what was happening at face value. Mira laughed loudly, causing Enzo to grin and put his arm around her. A few moments later, they kissed. At first it was a slow kiss because Mira was shocked he had kissed her. It got faster and more passionate. Enzo pulled Mira into his lap and she straddled him. His big hands went into her hair, tugging it gently before his lips moved down to her neck. Mira moaned loudly as Enzo sucked on her neck. I was hypnotized by their actions. Not in the usual way I was when I watched Enzo from the Sanctum. I found myself slightly…bothered. I think they were going past first base, which I specifically told them not to. They continued making out fiercely on the cough. Grey nudged me. “We should probably give them some privacy. It’s going great.” He murmured. I nodded. “Yeah, you’re right.” We went back to my chambers and once again I couldn't focus. Weren’t they moving a little too fast? Like they weren’t just kissing, they were hooking up. There was tongue and touching and moaning. They were like five seconds away from having s*x. That’s not the way to fall in love. Love was about emotions and feelings, not only about getting naked with each other. They both had to know that right?! “Celine? I think I found something!” Grey broke me out of my thoughts. “Read this!” The Seraphic Paragon is an entity that is reborn every two hundred and fifty years. It is usually a young woman given extraordinary powers including: healing, seeing the future, flying, mind control, elemental control, telekinesis and a pure heart. We could use her to defeat the Hellions! These powers are easy to trace when used, but they remain dormant for hiding. When the woman carrying these powers feels threatened she may project them onto other people to confuse her opponent. Only one person can defeat The Seraphic Paragon and that is The Depraved Fiend. That also sounded wildly familiar! I think I learned about this in schooling! If The Depraved Fiend takes the life of The Seraphic Paragon, he will absorb her powers and be able to rule the world. To confuse The Depraved Fiend, The Seraphic Paragon may project her powers to other women, making it harder to trace her. The ones who receive her power must find her in order to give it back. Only the Seraphic Paragon can defeat The Depraved Fiend. What the heaven?! I reread it and suddenly it hit me. Sela was The Seraphic Paragon. She projected certain powers on to me so that she could confuse The Depraved Fiend! I had to find to give her her powers back. She was the only one who could save the world.
